The armored being's helm angled downwards as Jiier lowered himself to the ground, ever silent. Making up for his inability to speak at the moment, Desrium collected all of the water around him, willing the entire quantity into a condensed orb. Some of the water was drawn out, a small spout of the energized liquid that the Blood Omen sent into the dragon's face in an effort to snap it out of its daze, while lowering the rest for Jiier to drink.

The cloaked figure stood in the middle of a street, waiting, staring at the skies above, loathing the fact that he had to wait for the morning to get into full swing for Tristan's citizens. Whose idea was it to make such an orderly natural time progression anyway? Disgusting...

Jiier's wing, which had been laying limp at his side, swung out and upward, swatting the water away and sending Desrium drifting back. "Do NOT treat me like a whelp, Desrium," the dragon snarled, getting onto his feet with some effort. Energy buzzed around the maned creature, Jiier drawing on his power to function properly.

Sharavuras let Thundarong into the stables. The horse was hardened form years of training and exposure to him, essentially turning the beast into an eldritch beast itself, but even now, the Castellan could see exhaustion on its face. The Castellan petted his steed's mane for a few moments, before he let go of the reins and let the horse join the other menagerie of beasts in the stables....

The water splattered onto the stone floor as Desrium relinquished his concentration. He dropped back to the ground a few feet from his teacher, eying him with his unchanging stare. No flash of red went off and there was no insight to be had as he pondered the meaning of the word whelp. He had never heard the word and Jiier had used it before. This was in stark contrast to what happened days before, meaning Desrium actually needed to ask for the definition of a word instead of having the knowledge just come to him like...a memory...

"I did not mean to offend" Desrium replied, putting his inquiry on hold while his teacher recovered from the phenomenon that occurred...

"I appreciate your concern, but you must remember I've been alone for centuries. I know how to take care of myself," Jiier explained with a deep breath, his nerves frayed and his emotions still running high from the incident the night before, which he could only vaguely remember. The experience was not unknown to him, however. Every now and again something similar would happen, drudging up memories that had the power to bypass the thousands of years of training he possessed. After putting more thought into it, Jiier figured the actions of the malefic being they encountered had something to do with it...

"I understand" Desrium said with a nod. Pausing for a moment, he pushed his question even further back in his mind, deciding it would be best to answer Jiier's previous question first. After all, he was given a mission and now seemed like the best time to explain it to his teacher...in the best way he could.

"As for what happened," Desrium began to say. "I am not certain. A unicorn creature spoke to me. She told me to spread a message about the entity that appeared to us, so that Aster could be warned of the destruction it will cause if it goes unchallenged"

"...Are you sure you didn't just hit your head a little too hard?" Jiier responded, giving the armored being a strange look. The one thing he remembered quite clearly from the incident was Desrium's collision waking him up...

"I do not think I suffer from collisions. Mainly because I do not feel" replied Desrium. "She said that if Aster is destroyed then you and Septimus would die with it. I refuse to allow that"

"Interesting..." Jiier growled thoughtfully, stroking his chin with a clawed hand. The statement was aimed at both comments from Desrium. In truth, the dragon knew very little about what Desrium actually was underneath the armor. The strength of his presence to Jiier's senses seemed to assert the fact that the armored being was in fact a being of energy...

"Also, this is unrelated but what does whelp mean?" Desrium asked, despite just sharing a message from a being on par with the shadowed entity in its power...

"To a dragon, such as myself, a whelp is a recently hatched youngster. A hatchling, a child, to other creatures," Jiier explained, once again giving the armored being a strange look at the sudden change in topic.

"I see. There might not be any more whelps if we do not act Jiier" Desrium said, looking out of the mouth of the cave to the wilds outside...

"There haven't been whelps in centuries, Desrium," Jiier responded with a frown. "At least for my kind..." the dragon trailed off, refocusing on the matter at hand. "But I can see you are quite serious about all this. What do you propose we do?"

"We do as the unicorn said. We spread the message as far as we can" answered the armored being, simplifying a very complex task. "We will have our last taste of honey before we set off"

"And here I thought I got a say in this," Jiier responded, only half joking. "If you intend to leave, we'll have to tell Septimus where we're going," he continued, glancing over at the supplies the other dragon left behind. "By the way, where are we going?"

"I do not know. Are there any settlements nearby?" Desrium asked, glancing back at Jiier before adding "And would they react badly to...us. A dragon and...me"

"There are a few small villages not far, but I don't think they would be very useful in your mission," Jiier responded, scratching the scales on his neck with a clawed hand. "And I'm afraid the latter is inevitable."

"Unfortunate" Desrium replied. He walked over to Septimus' gifts, contemplating how they would tell Septimus of their departure, should he return any time soon. Picking up a rock near his metal feet, Desrium smashed it against the wall of the cave. A crack formed along the stone and it broke apart, leaving a sharp edge that the armored being proceeded to drag across the surface, etching a short notice to his Hueilin friend in the only written language he knew: that of the Zuppolandians...

"I believe I may have a few things to help us..." Jiier growled, mostly to himself, as he made his way to the back of the cave, a short distance from the pool. Placing his clawed hand against the smooth stone, a spark of golden energy jumped from the dragon's outstretched limb, coursing through the stone. After a few moments of silence, the stone began to rumble and creak, eventually disappearing into the wall itself, revealing a small room. Inside was a large chest, far too large to be used by anything smaller than Jiier. The magical energy that saturated the cave also helped hide the contents of the chest, offering natural protection for the artifacts Jiier had come across over the years. The dragon began to rummage through the chest, clearly looking for something specific.
