"In this business it becomes a requirement if you don't want to have your career cut short" said Khuurava as they descended in the lift, which soon stopped, the Khurakra walking out, making his way towards the main holding bay of the Freight Storage Facility...

"Well, let's hope he can help, then," Arrak said. "I'd hate to have the Blood Pack AND the Geth on our a**es without some backup..."

No sooner had Arrak finished his statement than a Vorcha stepped out behind one of the containers in the wide hallway, cutting off their path. "You unwelcome here, outsiders! This Vorcha turf now!" snarled the creature threateningly. Behind it, four more could be seen hiding behind various containers and fuel tanks. Eyes narrowing, Khuurava glanced over to Arrak, as if offering him a chance to give his thoughts on the matter before he took action. Afterall, he was his partner...

Arrak crossed his arms and sighed. "Alright, which one of you wants to get shot first? Seriously, we don't have time for you guys."

"You shoot, we KILL" barked the Vorcha, as two of its comrades walked up to its sides, Khuurava sighing lowly, a light rumble audible from the Khurakra. "I do not take kindly to threats, vermin" snarled the Khurakra coldly, the Vorcha snorting at the warning. "We are STRONG. You cannot fi-" hissed the Vorcha, never getting the chance to finish its sentence before a large, 7 taloned hand clamped shut around its neck, lifting it off its feet to Khuurava's eye level, one of its comrades attempting to draw a pistol, only for a large, powerful foot to rise up, clamping shut around its upper torso and pushing it to the floor, pinning it in place, a rattling snarl coming from Khuurava as he tightened his grip around the Vorcha in his clawed hand, an audible crack being heard as he snapped its neck like a twig, the Khurakra's arm swinging sideways into the standing Vorcha to his left, knocking it back before drawing his side arm, using the corpse of the first vorcha as a shield, the Khurakra shooting at the two behind it, which had opened fire behind cover, one getting grazed in the cheek before getting behind cover, the other ducking behind cover as a round streaked past, right where its head had been a moment earlier...

Arrak didn't bother with a witty remark, simply pulling out his pistol and putting a round in the head of the Vorcha Khuurava had knocked back, as well as launching an Incineration packet around one of the Vorcha's cover and lighting the unfortunate alien on fire...

the burning Vorcha screeched in agony, the other leaving cover and running, Khuurava snarling as he tossed the corpse of the one in his hand at it, the dead Vorcha colliding with its comrade, pinning it to the floor as the large Khurakra ran forward, leaping over one of the containers and landing on top of the two fallen vermin with a loud crunch, killing the living one. "I HATE vorcha" snarled Khuurava lowly as he straightened, continuing onwards. He was certain there would probably be more on his way...not that it mattered. If need be he'd kill every damned one on the station for getting in his way...

"Who doesn't?" Arrak said, giving the corpses around him a couple good kicks. Vorcha had a habit of not staying dead. "At least they aren't Blood Pack. They give their Vorcha better weapons."

The craft approached the floating spans of metal that encased the rings of blue, their bright glow extending down the distance in between the arms. Its metal exterior was given its sheen by the numerous distant stars that offered their light in the eternal twilight. The scout vessel's forward engine powered up to a low, retro thrust output, the bright white light that manifested in its nacelle eventually dampening the craft's velocity. By then, it was preparing itself for transport through the relay. The sole Seeker on board transferred the specifications of his ship, as if using a relay was a task like any other, and waited for the driver to align itself with its partner relay. It swung around, energies pulsating in its whirling rings, branching out to the ship and dancing across its hull as it drifted along the core. A blue cone of power formed around the ship and its speed increased drastically, split seconds later the cone was a plume of light that spanned miles in the direction the mass relay pointed. Almost instantaneously after, Ecliptor's ship emerged, not in deep space, but in the midst of a star system far from 'Home'. The relay was documented by the Seeker collective, but little was known about where it led. Ecliptor's personal mission was to learn. Unbeknownst to him, he was on the outer fringe of organic civilization: what his robotic kind strives to be...

"Indeed. With a bit of luck, that'll be the last we see or hear of the-" he said, being cut off by a snarl down the corridor, though the source wasn't in sight yet. "...Spoke. too. soon" grumbled Khuurava irritably as he put away his side-arm, drawing his assault rifle...

"Heh, you and your big mouth," Arrak said with a chuckle, before pulling out his Phaeston. After the snarl came a chittering noise, like that of some large insect. "...that was new. One of your buddies, maybe?" he added jokingly.

"Not a damned clue" hissed Khuurava as he proceeded, a burst of shotgun fire streaking past his face, barely missing, the Khurakra backing away and pressing against the wall, assault rifle in hand. "YOU DIE, KHURAKRA!" snarled an angry Vorcha down the hallway, evidently the one wielding the shotgun...

Arrak immediately opened fire on the Vorcha, sending the alien reeling backwards. It was joined, not by more Vorcha or a Varren, but a Klixen. The large, red insectoid beast skittered slowly forward, screeching angrily at its perceived prey. Arrak cursed and put more rounds downrange into the creature, but the Klixen's tough hide made it difficult to hurt with his assault rifle...

Khuurava snarled as he focused his fire on the beast's head, firing in semi-automatic mode, each heavy plasma bolt that hit the klixen's head flared with bluish white fire as the hole was steadily enlarged, rapidly destroying the insect's armour...

The Klixen managed a single burst of caustic flame from its mandibles before the concentrated gunfire finally overwhelmed it, the insect exploding into a small fireball and incinerating its nearby Vorcha handler. "How the hell did they get one of those onto Omega?" Arrak asked aloud, quickly ejecting his thermal clip in case another wave of Vorcha showed up...

"No idea. Bet you Aria would like to know about this" said Khuurava as he continued his push through the bowels of Omega. silence had reclaimed the area, and Khuurava was fairly sure there wasn't anything else between him and Sharakh's den. As he walked, the scent of burning flesh and stale blood reached his nose. "hm. That can't be good"...

"Aria's got a thug for the explicit purpose of keeping the Vorcha population down, I think," Arrak replied. After a couple sniffs, he added, "Yeah, I smell it too..."

Khuurava followed the scent, walking down a deserted hall, seeing only a dead Vorcha with a gaping hole in its chest along the way. Once he finally found the source, he chuckled lowly. before him was the door to Sharakh's den. around the entrance, horrifically mangled Vorcha could be seen impaled on pikes or littering the ground in numerous pieces. One unlucky beast had been sliced cleanly in half, the injury cauterised, suggesting it was the victim of a Khurakriidi energy blade. "Hasn't lost his touch, I'll give him that much" hissed Khuurava as he walked up to the door, a red light running along the door's height down the middle, scanning him. after a few moments, the door opened, to reveal a pair of turrets hidden behind a pair of large heavy containers. They were obviously in idle mode. "Keep moving. I'd rather NOT have a half dozen Vorcha scampering in after you" came a gruff voice over the intercom, similar to Khuurava's own, though perhaps a bit more grizzled. "Same old Sharakh. As grumpy as ever. Sounds like **** though. Must be going through hell with these vermin pestering him relentlessly" hissed Khuurava as he walked in...

The scout ship's heading was a direct route to one the outer congregations of life: the lawless station upon the exploited space rock. It's approach was relatively slow and calculated, the vessel's destination being the station's docking hangar. Minor adjustments were made as it closed in, despite not having clearance to dock. Attempts at contact with the unmarked ship would only be met with silence...
