Discord had decided to stick around as well. He had initially only "planned" for a short visit, but the events unfolding before him were too good to pass up, and it's not like they could do anything about it. For now, the chimeric chaos being lay stretched out on a table, lazily popping grapes into his mouth. Not that he needed to eat, of course, but the taste was good all the same. "Ah, leave the lady alone," he droned. "She's just a witch. No big deal..."

Trajan nearly spat out the cup of wine he was drinking. " W-w-what did you say?" He choked out as he glared at the chimera. Not only was the breat laying on one of HIS tables, acting like he owned the place, but calling this lovely woman here a witch? That he wouldn't take...

"He speaks the truth, Trajan. I am infact a full-blown witch." Byakuren said, not wanting to start any violence. THis caused both Trajan and Dione to look at Discord, then at her, almost unwilling ot believe it.

" You said before that you were just a mage... Why did you lie to us about what you actually were?" Trajan asked her, trying to keep his voice level.

Byakuren turned away from him, and looked at a nearby candle. A tear shifted down her face. " Long ago, in a land far from Aster, I was but a young girl who didn't want to die. I wanted to live forever, to increase my physique. So, I started helping out demons and other such creatures. I pretended to exercize in exterminating them, while actually relocating them far away from human settlements, so that I could gain their trust, and their power. The whole ruse worked like a charm, but when I finallly forsoke my humanity and became a full-fledged witch, I began to feel the pain and suffering that those I had helped out felt. I saw the endless cycle of persecution and killing, demons suppressed by humans, and vice versa. I wanted it to stop completely. I wanted to see a world, where humans and demons could live side by side without such a vicious cycle. So, I set out to genuinely do just that. Over time, many demons saw me as a champion for their side. But, humans began to be suspicious of my eternal youth. When they found out I was a demonic witch, they sealed me away for a thousand years in the demonic realm. For that long time, I made a few friends with some local demons down there, but I yeared to head back up to the surface world. After those thousand years, a band of beings I had saved before managed to unseal me from my imprisonment. When I became free, the world had changed so much. Now, the very beings I had tried to bring together in peace were so, but with a few rough edges to smooth. I set up a temple there, and many came to it. But then, I decided to head out to a diffrent place and spread peace there. A friend of mine managed to send me here, to Aster, 15 years ago, and since then, I have wandered around, helping demons out, but with how things are going, I have been forced to keep the label of "Demon Exterminator", since many cases here are of truly evil spirits... I am sorry for decieving all of you. I thought that, had I told you all the truth upfront, I would havesealed up again, or worse..."

For a moment, there was silence, then Trajan himself sighed. "I understand. we of Germania aren't exactly fans of the supernatural. The demon attack a while back only reinforced that, and quite a few people were afraid of Discord here when he showed up..."

"Only a few?" Discord said. "That's an understatement. Then again, you are the closest thing to a politician in this city..." Swallowing a whole bunch of grapes whole, he added, "I feel ya, Bya. Being sealed away is just awful, not to mention mind-numbingly BORING..."

A lone raven flew toward the hostile land of Lustria, moving incredibly fast for something so small. In seconds it was already racing over the jungle, heading toward the heart of Lizardmen territory...

Little was above the jungles of Lustria, the skies simply too dangerous to be traveled by anything other than the native predators: Terradons, as well as other things far larger and more horrifying to behold...

Elias Walked threw the woods fallowing the sound of water , his left eye scanning the area as he walked froward . He stopped for a moment as he spotted a small injured fox bleeding out onto the ground from the corner of his eye . He walked over to it slowly his left thumb flicking his sword up so it could be drawn easier . " hello lunch " he said to himself smirking softly as he reached the fox . He bent down to it noticing the large gash in its under side and a broken leg . The fox bared its teeth as it tried to move .Elias sighed as he drew his dagger and sighed softly " you will no longer have to suffer " he whispered as he stabbed his blade into the neck of the suffering animals neck . He sighed softly and picked it up the blood running down his uncovered left arm soaking into the bandages as he went back to fallowing the sound of water . " now to build a fire" he whispered to himself as he walked .
" Dear God the only thing I ask of you is
to hold her when I'm not around,
when I'm much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I'd stayed
'Cause I'm lonely and I'm tired
I'm missing you again oh no
Once again " - avenged sevenfold dear god

The raven continued on its swift flight, toward the city of Hexoatl, with clear determination, without ever looking toward the dangerous jungle below, until the city came within view.

The endless swathe of jungle only broke around Lizardmen Temple-Cities, and Hexoatl was one of the biggest still remaining. It mighty central temple jutted above the trees like a giant monolith, a shrine to the Old Ones of the Lizardmen worshipped. It had no active magical defenses at the moment, but there was no doubt that, like all Temple-Cities, the Slann Mage-Priest within had erected passive magical defenses to always know who, and what, was coming and going...

Andruil was quick to help support the elven girl on her feet, making sure she was at least somewhat steady before he started leading the gryphons and hippogriff forward into the forest, the clearing where he usually made camp not being far from that spot. In the distance to the North East, an unnatural darkness seemed to be spreading, blotting out what remained of the sun's light. "It's started" said Andruil grimly...

As Septimus descended, he saw the darkness in the distance. It was easily a week's travel on foot from them, if not more. "It seems our malefactor has begun" rumbled the Dragon. his powerful eyesight helped him see it in spite of its immense distance. He wondered whether Desrium could see it too. Below, torches could be seen running back and forth across the area of the city closest to them; undoubtedly messengers spreading the word of Dragons approaching. They needed to descend fast, before the ballistae were armed...

The raven made no effort to slow or stop its descent toward the city. It could sense what surrounded the capital of the Lizardmen, but it didn't seem to care, shooting through the barrier like a bullet.

Jiier watched the moving lights below, his eyes narrowing, ready to follow Septimus' lead.

Deep in the central chambers of Hexoatl's temple, Lord Mazdamundi's eyes opened ever so slightly. Something had come to his city. Something powerful...

The Lizardmen citizens below didn't seem to be aware of the raven above their heads, with the Skinks busy running about and tending to their daily activities supported by the brutish Kroxigors. Saurus Warriors marched down the streets or trained with each other in specialized paddocks, so as not to endanger their brethren working outside. The Saurus Temple Guard stood resolute all over the central temple, lining the staircases and flanking every conceivable entrance (of which there were few). A single Skink Priest also stood just outside the chamber leading into Mazdamundi's quarters, speaking with another of his kind, who was mounted on a Terradon. The flying beast was perched on the temple floor, looking almost bored...

"What? What's started?" Tetto'eko asked Andruil curiously, dismounting Sulrana...

The Blood Omen did not see- but felt- the expanding darkness. He was miles away and yet he could detect the overpowering presence of the twilight specter and it was strong enough to bring him out of his immobile state. The glowing blue dissolved into flaring violet and finally crimson and Desrium looked around the satchel. For a short moment he believed the shadowed being had found him and his comrades again. He quickly dismissed the possibility, though. If he had indeed found them, they would most likely be dead already.

The raven began to slow, stopping expertly before one entrance to the central temple. In a flash of light, the bird, still hovering in the air, changed into an elderly woman in hooded robes. Despite her apparent age, the woman landed skillfully in a crouch, standing slowly in front of the Lizardmen before her.

The Temple Guard, instead of acting surprised, instantly lowered their halberds at the woman, snarling bestially. The Priest and Skink speaking froze, and the Priest finally turned to look at the apparent human that had appeared before them. Exchanging several hurried chitters with the Terradon Rider, the Priest turned to look at the old woman again, while the Terradon took off with a mighty screech, going back to its usual scouting patrols. The Priest approached the woman, eyes narrowed, crest flexing spasmodically...

"I demand an audience with your leadership," the woman stated blatantly to the Priest, almost completely ignoring the two massive guards staring her down.

The Priest cocked his head in confusion, but did not respond. Instead, he turned and walked into the building, chittering a few words to the Temple Guards as he did so. They tensed, and did not let the woman leave their sight, but otherwise did not move...

Moments later, the Priest reemerged, with the magically floating palanquin of Lord Mazdamundi behind him. The Slann himself sat on the massive chair, bulbous and froglike, but practically oozing with magical power. His face was unreadable, his eyes simply staring down at the woman...

"We must discuss the future of your race. The future of all Aster," the old woman stated, a wooden staff seeming to fall out of her sleeve, which she quickly leaned on weakly.

"If by surge, you mean that..." the woman stated, gesturing toward the darkness that loomed beyond the jungles of Lustria. "...then you know why I am here," she concluded. Although she could easily speak telepathically as well, she decided against it. This was something everyone needed to hear...assuming they could understand her. Despite her age, the Lizardmen were a race she vaguely understood.

"Yes." was Mazdamundi simple reply. "I assume you know what it is? It violates the Great Plan, but that is all I know."
