Elias Laid down onto the soft grass and rested his eye . He sighed softly as he felt he warmth of the fire against his skin as he drifted off into a sleep . He began to dream of that day that haunted him for so long . His dream felt like he was stepping back into the past , he looked down and saw himself in full silver armor covering everything but his face . He drew his blade as he charged with his fathers men attacking the men that were branded traitors to his father the king of the land . He cut threw each man one by one with a few swings of his sword until one man was standing his blade drawn and ready to attack . " i will grant you death " Elias said to the man before charging at him blindly . " no my dear prince it is you who shall not leave her alive " said the man as he brought down his blade across the right side of Elias face destroying his eye . Elias screamed in pain as he charged " i'll kill you ! " he screamed attacking again and missing . The man smiled at Elias as he slid his blade threw Elias armor threw his chest missing his heart by a few centimeters . Elias dropped To the ground as the man removed his blade " now my prince ill see you in the afterlife " he said as he walked away leaving Elias for dead .
Elias shot up from sleep checking the inside of his shirt for the wound that has long since healed . " just another dream " he said softly as he looked back at the the flames of the fire still casting out heat , " should i have died that day " he thought to himself as he placed his hand on his scar .
" Dear God the only thing I ask of you is
to hold her when I'm not around,
when I'm much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I'd stayed
'Cause I'm lonely and I'm tired
I'm missing you again oh no
Once again " - avenged sevenfold dear god

Dervin smiled. "Military construction. Meant to be swift and easy to build, yet sturdy in the face of an attack. Once the foundations and superstructure are done, other things can be added to it to make it more...homey, if you will" responded the soldier assuringly. "We're currently waiting on the weapons shipment from the Dwarves, but knowing our usual suppliers, that should be here in a couple of days" he added...

"...We have been rallying allies across Aster. We have the word of Germania to stand in the face of the opposition, and messengers are en route to some of the outlying factions. Our armies are rallying along the borders of the Kingdom, and scouts have been sent to monitor movement of enemy forces" said Alexander Lyall, the Knight-Commander of the Silver Order as he stood before a table, maps unfurled across it's vast oaken surface, flags marking the locations of forces and potential allies, red flags marking known enemy strongholds, the largest of these placed over Freyr Lunge. King Sebastian looked over the charts with a sigh. He had hoped to miss the throne altogether, yet now he stood not only as King, but as a General. "How prepared are we for war?" asked the King calmly. "We're a powerful Kingdom, your Majesty. We have roughly 4 major cities and nearly a dozen smaller ones. We have the potential to muster a few thousand soldiers, and approximately 300 siege weapons. We have a squadron of Dragon Riders being trained and prepared, but It's been a long time since they saw active battle. We've done our best to keep them sharp, but nothing can take the place of true combat, so their ability in combat isn't as reliable as I would like" said the Knight-Commander, Sebastian nodding thoughtfully. "When will we hear from the messengers?" he asked. "Within a day or two. They've been instructed to send back the news of their objectives' response via Griffin Hawk to make sure we know as soon as possible" said Alexander, the Knight Commander walking over to a table with a small jug of water, pouring himself a drink before continuing. "Our latest active ally, an Assassins' Guild, has been fortified and are being armed with more effective and reliable weaponry. Their village has been fortified with palisades, ballistae and approximately 70 soldiers, 20 of which are archers from the 22nd Ranged Brigade. there are 10 Cavalry units in addition to 40 infantry men. Adding to the Village's original compliment of Assassins, they should be able to hold their own. We also have two of the Silver Order stationed there, one of which is Andruil Lyall, one of the main influences in the success of the revolt. He was also the one who brought this entire incident to our attention" stated the Knight-Commander, the King nodding as he looked towards the portal leading to the balcony to one side of the throne room, the sprawling shadow visible in the distance, barely visible against the backdrop of the fading sun. "Very well. Make sure that all our forces are prepared for war, Knight-Commander. If this thing is as much a threat as it looks, we're going to need every man ready to fight. This won't be a simple war for glory or resources. We're fighting for our freedom, our way of life....our very lives" said King Sebastian as he turned away from the table in the throne room, heading for the training halls of Valenhad Castle. A King was no good to his people if he couldn't fight for them. his skills needed sharpening...

"Your worthiness of respect is for our leaders to decide, not us. Until then, we are to remain neutral, and wary of your presence. I hope you understand it's nothing personal" responded the dark elf calmly, before turning, nodding for the men to mobilise, the soldiers spreading their ranks around the newcomers, escorting them through the sandy streets towards the large, multi-layered stone fortress in the centre of the city. it's light brown surface was steeply slanted, rising almost vertically, though not quite. narrow windows dotted it's surface at regular intervals, and on their roofs, slots could be seen in the wall where archers could fire. From the air, Septimus had caught sight of an immense array of catapults and ballistae. over the walls of the city and fortress, sufficient to pummel a force several tens of thousands strong into dust long before they reached the gates.

The streets were silent, trade stalls built into the walls of the buildings closed up for the night, patrols of guards moving back and forth through the streets as one by one, the candle and lantern-light glowing in the windows of the houses faded, until eventually the only light was that coming from the guards' torches, and the top most windows of the fortress. Before long, they had passed the gates into the fortress, and tall pillars held up the ceiling of the overhang before the entrance...

Andruil nodded, smiling. "I promise you, I won't let that thing succeed as long as I draw breath. And you can count on Valenhad and her allies to do the same" said the knight, before helping Vix over to one of the trees, beckoning Myrn over so that he could offload some of the equipment, to let Thalion, Sulrana and herself loose to hunt for something to eat. Afterall, the next part of their journey would likely be a solid stretch all the way to the Village...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"

The cover of stars over the desert city disappeared when Septimus passed under the slab of what appeared to be some sort of sandstone. Desrium stared down its length towards the entrance. The fires of torches mounted on the pillars swayed and flickered in his passing, the warm yellow glow reflecting off of his metal shell. He continued to peer at the guards, studying the strange elven people and their settlement in usual silence.

"Thank you, Discord." Byakuren replied to him. She didn't know wherever to take his comment as a compliment or an insult, so she decided the former.:Although, the demonic realm wasn't all THAT bad..."

A clearing of the throat brought everyone's attetnion to Trajan, who was now looking at everyone around him. "If we are all giving out secrets, than I feel like I must tell you all something..."

"What? What is it that you have to say?" Dione asked the young Emperor, confused. Likewise, Djinn, Guame, and Byakuren were also intrested to know what he had to say...

Once more, Emperor Trajan cleared his throat, then told them all of what had happened several night before, when the Archdemon had paid him a visit. He told them of the deal they had made, and all they had spoken of. "I made a horrible mistake making an alliance with the Archdemon... one I want to be rid of, but can't... Germania is doomed because of me..."

There was silence in the room for a few moments, then Byakuren spoke up. "You are only human, Trajan. Humans make mistakes when they are afraid. I am no diffrent, though I am a complete witch. As for this Archdemon business, we will find a way to deal with it."

Out in the gateyard of the Emperor's castle, the two guards still stood, unaware of the danger coming in from the sky...

Discord broke out into laughter at that. "Wait, wait, you brokered an alliance with HIM?! And I thought I was mad..."

The two Lethrblaka made no move to attack, instead landing before the castle itself, taking the guards by surprise. "Where is Emperor Trajan?" the male Ra'zac hissed...

Trajan looked down to the floor. "Yes, I did... I botched up as Emperor..."

Byakuren cut him off as she turned to Discord. "Wait a minute... You say you know of this Archdemon?" She asked...

The guards stumbled back aways, afraid of the beasts before them. " Trajan is currently busy with a meeting. Please come back in an hour or two..." They said in unison, certain that these two were here for no good...

The male Ra'zac's mount leaned forward, staring the two guards down. "Make an exception," the Ra'zac hissed in a dangerous tone. "Just this once."

Discord leaned back, eating a couple more grapes, before replying. "That I do. If I'm thinking of the right Archdemon, of course. Helped me get out of my prison in exchange for arranging a meetup between him and his current host body beforehand..."

"I see. But what is the name of this Archdemon?" Byakuren asked, both to Trajan and to Discord. Trajan shook his head. The demon hadn't given his name to him when they had meet, but maybe Discord knew...

The two guards took a step back, then nodded in unison. "Alright then. Just wait one minute." THey said as they turned and headed for the door... Neither of them were paid to deal with scary bat-like dragons...

The Ra'zac said nothing, opting to wait patiently...

"Well, I don't know his REAL name," Discord droned. "Calls himself 'Zazikel' though. The name of the dragon he possessed..."

"Zazikel..." Byakuren repeated, saying it almost as if she knew the name from somewhere, like an old friend or something...

At that moment,t he two guards came in through the door and closed it behind them. Trajan looked over at them. He could tell from their horrified looks that something was deeply wrong. "What's the matter? Why aren't you two still guarding outside?" He asked them.

They replied, "There's a pair of bat-dragons out there, and their riders want a word with you right now..."

After a moment of thnking, Trajan finally knew what he was going to do. "Dione, take Djinn, Guame, and Discord up to the Church and wait there until i call you down. Byakuren, you stay with me. I have a bad feeling about our guests..." He said. Things were really beginning to spice up here in Tristan, and if his feeling about these guests was correct, then it would be best to stick with the more human people here... Both Guame and Discord were out of the equation, and Djinn... everytime he looked at her, he could tell there was something not quite human about her, especially with that dead eye of hers... Both Byakuren and Dione at the very least appeared human, and as such would be better suited for what he had in mind...

Discord stood up on his hind legs and stretched lazily, yawning. "Well, here's hoping I don't burst into flames when I step in side!" he shouted, none too gracefully stepping off the table. "Lead the way, Pope-lady..."

Jiier snorted loudly, his dangerous gaze never changing as they were herded toward the center of the city.

Dione rolled her eyes as she led Discord, Djinn, and Guame on upstairs to the main Church. Once they were out of eyesight, Trajan ordered to the guards, " Now you can invite them in."

At ocne, the guards walked back out, as calmly as they could, out the door, and while one of them reopened the door, the other said, "One of you may enter, but the other must stay here with the mounts..."

The Ra'zac simply nodded, the male sliding off his mount and following the guards inside, while the less diplomatic female stayed with their monstrous parents...

The two guards led the Ra'zac to the dining room table, where one pulled up a seat that was across from Trajan and Byakuren, gesturing for him to sit there.

"So, what brings someone like you to my humble city of Tristan?" Trajan asked him, not even waiting for him to take a seat as the two guards left...

"I am a servant of the Archdemon," the Ra'zac hissed, not bothering to sit down. "I am here to remind you of your deal with him. The time to strike out against his enemies is coming soon, and your armies must be ready..."

Trajan looked at Byakuren, then back at the Ra'zac, before responding, "I am afraid that, due to certain situations that have taken place recently, that I must withdraw from the agreement with your Lord."
