As the thunder of the approaching army grew louder, its creators became more apparent: Lizardmen. An army of the reptilian creatures marched towards the forest, and at their head, his palanquin mounted atop a massive Stegadon he controlled through sheer force of will, was Lord Mazdamundi himself. The ancient Slann was leading his army towards the shrine of Agnaroth, Mazdamundi able to detect the massive influx of magical energy from miles away...

Arashi looked down at the clearly simmering young Dragon before him, sighing. "It is clear in your eyes that exhaustion, stress, fear and rage have robbed you of your usual open-mindedness. Go rest, Septimus. Once you have had time to recover from the past ordeals, I will tell you what you do not know of me, and answer what questions you have" rumbled the Stormweaver calmly, Septimus barely restraining the urge to retort. As much as he hated to admit it, his father...no, Arashi, was right. After a long moment of consideration, the younger Dragon turned away from the elder Hueilin, making his way into the temple, as Arashi himself glanced up at the stormy sky, laying on his flank just under the edge of the overhanging stone roof shading the edge of the top steps, the Dragon's eyes shimmering a bright white as he began to feed off the storm's powerto recover his strength, not daring to sleep himself, nor needing to. The threats came from all sides now, and he could not afford to be taken by surprise. The raging storm would replenish him as much as any normal sleep would. That, in itself, would suffice...

Septimus made his way into the main chamber, glancing towards where Desrium rested, meditating near the statuette, noting Radamand near one of the windows, and Jiier seemingly elsewhere, most likely in a different chamber. The Hueilin then chose a quiet corner of the room, laying down slowly, his mind heavy with thoughts of the day's events. It was all too fast. His father had returned and, instead of fulfilling the vow Septimus had sworn and facing him in mortal combat, he had restrained the younger Dragon and spoken to him of unknown facts, secrets that even his mother apparently did not know. For the first time since his exile, he felt compelled to actually hear the older Dragon out. Was this his own will, or his father's psychic magic at work? He had managed to slip through his mind undetected, and extract everything he knew of both his clan and the coming threat, so who was to say he had not manipulated his thoughts to show sympathy and patience? The only reason it seemed implausible was because Arashi had no need for it. If he truly wanted to kill him, he would've destroyed him the moment he was left alone. The confusion of it all was almost painful, and the young Dragon fell into an uncomfortable slumber, haunted by dreams of past events, and images of what could yet come...

Andruil nodded as he headed over to his bed roll, laying back over the soft leather, cloth and woollen material, drifting into a light sleep, as up in the trees, Shiryaz watched vigilantly...

The following morning saw the weather over the shrine improved somewhat, the sky grey with rainclouds, though the actual rainfall was light. Gone was the vicious storm of the previous evening, and in its place lay a cool and gentle breeze, the whistling of the wind barely heard as the sound of dripping water and sprinkling raindrops filled the air. Arashi sat calmly, looking out over the surrounding forests from a different position on the platform before the temple's entrance, allowing him a view of the shadow in the distance, which seemed to have advanced since the previous evening. In the forests below, he had taken note of the new arrivals, lizardmen, likely from Lustria, unless they had expanded to other locations. The Dragon seemed no less energetic than he had been earlier, in fact, possibly more so, his energy being replenished through his consumption of the storm's power, a likely cause for its accelerated weakening. He seemed to contemplate the events that now threatened to change the face of Aster as they knew it. In reality, it was just one of numerous things occupying the Stormweaver's mind...

Within the temple, Septimus finally rose, though his sleep had been less than ideal. It had, however, re-energised him, and that was more than he had hoped for. The Scholar sat in he temple, glancing around at the others, wondering whether anything had transpired overnight, untrusting of his sleep to be light enough for him to have woken in such an event...

Radamand did not seem to have moved throughout the night, simply staring up through the grand window at the back of the chamber. Through the grey clouds that wafted through the sky, a single ray of sunshine descended into the chamber, illuminating Radamand and the center of the room. Jiier, meanwhile, continued to sleep soundly, having sprawled out in the center of the room as he fell into a deep, restful sleep he desperately needed.

"..Awaken.." a voice, almost as quiet as the gentle breeze, whispered to Desrium as he meditated.

After hours of being still, Desrium lowered his arms and looked up at the gem coated idol, an almost instinctual response. He said nothing and there was no further movement. He simply waited

The Lizardmen army had made camp deep within the forest, where they were most comfortable. Their campsite echoed with the sound of fierce bellows and growls of the myriad of Lustrian beasts they had brought with them: Stegadons pulled large cages containing Salamanders and Razordons, Terradons and their riders perched in the treetops, deadly Cold Ones awaited battle alongside their riders as well, and Saurus Scar-Leader, Kroq-Gar, sat resolutely upon his mount, the mighty Carnosaur Grymloq. Mazdamundi's Stegadon, Zlaaq, waited in the forst below while the Slann himself rode his palanquin up towards the shrine: the source of the magical energy he had sensed the night before...

Zazikel's smoky form drifted towards a cave outside of Draxon: the new homes of Dhoulmagus. He had received the rather unfortunate report from his Ra'zac, and he needed someone to exact his vengeance for him...

Elias let out a soft sigh as he woke up he rubbed his eye he was still half asleep as he stood up cracking his stiff back .
" Dear God the only thing I ask of you is
to hold her when I'm not around,
when I'm much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I'd stayed
'Cause I'm lonely and I'm tired
I'm missing you again oh no
Once again " - avenged sevenfold dear god

Septimus yawned as he made his way towards his armoured companion, curious over the Blood Omen's newfound habit. "I wasn't aware you made a habit of meditating" rumbled the Dragon as he approached, intrigue evident in his voice...

Elsewhere, two men in dark robes walked towards the gates of the Germanian royal palace in Tristan. On their chests, the coat of arms of Valenhad's Council of Mercutio could be seen. Their cloaks were lined with light silver runic patterns that seemed to glow slightly in the light, though aside from the runed staves they walked with, their equipment was hard to determine. their hoods cast their faces in shadow, their glowing white eyes the only outstanding trait that separated them from other mages. Their arrival had been mentioned in a letter the previous day, sent by the Regent on behalf of the King of Valenhad. Their mission was simple; destroy anything that dared threaten their ally...

Andruil sat on a large, smoothed boulder not far from the trees, cast somewhat in the shadows of one of the larger willow trees, his dark armour making him somewhat more difficult to see. He had swapped places with Vix late the previous night, taking on the watch, and his sharp gaze showed the experience of a hardened scout and ranger. He watched with an alertness that would, in its very appearance, almost discourage an attack, his senses attuned to the environment to the point he could pinpoint every creature larger than a squirrel for nearly two dozen yards in every direction through scent and hearing alone. In addition to that, Shiryaz watched from the trees silently, periodically circling and watching for danger beyond the knight's field of view...

Mazdamundi's palanquin carried the ancient Slann towards the entrance to the shrine. His ever-faithful Temple Guard stood resolute at the base of Agnaroth, still as statues, but ready to spring into action if necessary. However, Mazdamundi had specifically commanded them to remain there. Only one refused: Revered Guardian and Eternity Warden of Mazdamuni's personal chamber, Chakax. The mighty Saurus had never once left Mazdamundi's side in his centuries of service, and he certainly saw no reason to do so now. The Slann had not bothered to try and argue. The Temple Guard were famous for their stubbornness when it came to their duty. Chakax, his mighty double-ended mace in hand, followed Mazdamundi to the entrance of Agnaroth. The only thing that gave them pause was Arashi, and only because the dragon was simply in their path when they approached...

Vix was lying where she'd settled when Andruil had relieved her, half-curled beside Zar. Her face, which should have been relaxed in sleep, was contorted into a grimace of pain and horror; there were a couple of dried tear tracks on her face. She hadn't escaped all of her nightmares, that much was clear. The dragon beside her seemed to still be sleeping as well; however, one dark eye was open just a slit and focused on Elias, watching the human's every movement carefully.

Without a word- or any other acknowledgement -to Septimus or Desrium, Radamand turned and marched out of the chamber, heading toward the entrance to the temple. He could already sense the approach of yet another potential ally.

"It was Jiier's doing" the armored being replied after a few moments, finally turning his sights from Soel's likeness to the Scholar. Desrium stood up, getting one last look at Radamand just before he disappeared into the stone corridor. He already knew why the giant was making yet another trip to the temple grounds.

"I see" responded Septimus as he watched Radamand walk out the chamber towards the temple's main entrance, undoubtedly to greet the newcomers that he sensed. His pace indicated they likely would not meet the same aggressive attitude Arashi had been given. Arashi....he would need to speak with him eventually. He half feared, half anticipated the conversation he was bound to have with the elder Hueilin. Deciding not to dwell on it, he brought himself back to the current issue. "What did he teach you to meditate for?" asked the Dragon curiously...

Arashi sat to one side of the platform surrounding the temple, idly watching the approaching reptilians, though making no hint to indicate he was even alive aside from that, silent and still as a statue, the only thing betraying his nature as being anything else being the contrast between his grey hide and the moss-covered stone that surrounded him...

Andruil watched from the shadows as Elias trained, interested by his actions. He reminded him somewhat of himself during his younger years, in the Silver Order's training yards. He pitied the young man for his luck, but saw hope in the man's heart. Sometimes, that was all that was needed. Then there was Tetto'eko, who seemed to have spent a fair portion of their time since they arrived meditating, though he had slept. The ageing skink drew Andruil's concern. As powerful as he claimed to be, Andruil had doubts as to whether he could sustain himself during a serious fight, and worried that they may lose him to this monstrous opponent over the course of the coming weeks. The half-elf's gaze then drifted over concernedly to Vix. He had overheard her whimpering and watched her tossing and turning during the night after she had been relieved, and he couldn't help but worry about her state. So much ill fate had befallen her, even from an early age. It was the kind of horror that could, unchecked, haunt one's mind and memories for the entirety of their lives. He didn't like the prospect of her being put through that pain. Idly, he considered possible ways to rid her of them, though doing his best to prevent his concern from distracting him from his duty. Afterall, his good will would be worthless if they were ambushed and slaughtered by the archdemon or his lackeys. At the edge of the clearing, Thalion could be seen preening his feathers idly as he sat by the river, obviously waiting for their departure. He glanced back towards the others, deciding to let them have a few more moments' peace before he rose them to depart.

Mazdamundi and Chakax ignored Arashi as he ignored them, continuing towards the shrine entrance. If the dragon did not wish to speak, then he was but another member of this crusade against the darkness, but not the leader...

Elias turned around and with another swift , fast and almost lift speed again slashed the same leaf into four prices a clean cut threw it . He placed his sword back into its case as he turned his back again eyeing a fish jumping down stream . He readied himself placing his right foot foward his right hand giving over he hilt of his sword as he kept off his back foot and charged at the fish stabing it as it was falling from its jump . He stood there in the stream as he removed the fish from his blade and held it hand as he walked back to camp .

"To gain control of my inner power" Desrium answered, the simple statement being an adequate answer for once. From what the dragon had seen over the past days, it was clear what the Blood Omen meant.

That new morning saw Dione already up and awake, and practicing her newfound ice magic. The young pope was out in the main courtyard, practicing with Byakuren, who had her lotus shield out infront of her. "Now, just imagine that your releasing a stream of ice from your hands right at me." The monk encouraged, her optimistic smile always on her face.

Dione concentrated, and focused. She shot her hands out, and at that moment, a stream of ice shot out and impacted the mage's shield. Byakuren was surprised by the ammount of power the ice stream had; Most human magicians didn't pack very much power, due to them requiring an external source of magical power, like mushrooms or potions, but it was very apparent now that Dione had the power of a demonic witch, while stil being human. It was something that puzzled the magician, which she could only attribute to whatever the bird that DIoen had spoken about had done to her. After a few moments, the ice stream ended, and Byakuren's energy shield absorbed the power of it. "How did I do?" Dione asked the youthful monk.

"Your doing surprisingly well for a newcomer at magic. Your power is right on the spot, but you need to be faster at doing it. In a real battle, you don't have time to think for more than a second or two... You must do, or die." Byakuren said, dispelling her shield.

Up in his throne room, Trajan was fast asleep, last night's events having apparently worn him out. However, even in his sleep, he still held onto the dagger in his ribes, ready to strike out at a moment's notice...

Up on the roof of the castle, Djinn and Guame watched the sun rise... and the dark clouds gathering across Aster. Both knew that if there was to be hope of conquering this threat, they would need all the help they could get...

The two guards infromt of the gate were fast asleep, sleeping while standing...

In Burzum's Castle, Akuro had already left for the capital of Draxon, leaving Mara to do as she pleased. The half-demon smirked to herself. Given his age, old Burzum was probably still asleep, which meant Mara was gonig to have quite abit of fun with some of his troops...

Sulrana stood a short way upstream, her forelegs bent, head dipped low as she scooped up a few beakfulls of river water. She paused momentarily to tilt her russet and cream head toward Myrn, who was still lying on her side in the grass, half-open eyes flicking between the members of her new group who were in her field of view. Though she had lain there comfortably since they had gotten back from their hunting trip hours ago, the dark gryphon hadn't slept as well as her Kestrel flockmate, and wanted to use what time they had left to rest...

Radamand appeared at the entrance of the temple just as Mazdamundi approached, observing the Slann with his normal blue-tinted fiery gaze, though he said nothing.

The raven fluttered to where Djinn and Guame stood, landing on the very edge of the perimeter wall on the roof.
