"Perhaps," the entity replied simply. "We, as elementals, are not bound as other creatures are. But you are not like us. Not exactly."

"I was called a Pariah. How do I relate to you, elemental?" Desrium went onto ask...

"You will learn how, in time," the entity replied with another nod. "Another nears. One even more of a kindred spirit. They will be instrumental to your goals, personal and otherwise."

"I will be sure to welcome the new arrival, when they do arrive" Desrium replied. "But for now, what may I call you, Lance spirit?"

"I am Inarius, servant of the Dawnmother," the elemental replied, its light growing slightly brighter.

"I am Desrium if you did not know already" said the armored being. "I assume you speak of the Unicorn?"

"My apologies," Inarius responded with a slight bow at having not asked the Blood Omen's name. Though, he did already know. "I do. Moria, Goddess of the Dusk and Dawn, as well as the aspect of Justice."

Desrium nodded. "Then I am Desrium, servant of Moria; the Dawnmother" he said, glad to finally have a name for the one who appeared to him at the cave.

"May the light of dawn guide your path," Inarius responded, his neutral voice gaining a noticeably proud edge to it.

"As long as the Lance rests with me, it will. And I will light the path for others in such dark times" Desrium vowed to Inarius and by extension, to all others before him.

as Septimus continued reading, he encountered another interesting creature. The book identified them as 'Blood Dragons'. According to the book, they were ferocious, feral beasts that lusted for destruction, terrorising any and all in their path. They were depicted as dark-scaled, muscular beasts covered in thick spiny formations, with short, thick snouts lined with numerous jagged teeth. According to the book, they were perpetually engulfed in an aura of black and red, chaotic energy, that struck out at the surroundings seemingly at random. Evidently, they had been hunted nearly to extinction many centuries ago, even at the time this book was written, and few, if any still remained. The dark elf shuddered at the thought of what the Traitor could do if armed with a legion of the beasts...

Desrium stirred, his inner realm fading to the reality that faced everything on Aster. He did not know how far Septimus had gone in the book while he was meditating, but after reading the pages the Hueilin was on, he knew that he did not know what these 'Blood Dragons' were. It was the first time that he truly knew he lacked the knowledge, rather than simply forgetting it.

A few more pages passed in this fashion before Septimus decided to shift to something more practical. Knowing what colour Manticore blood was or how tempermental Blood Dragons were known to be would not be much use to him in the coming battle. Putting away the book, he pulled out one on various forms of magic. In moments he found something potentially useful. Glancing around, he spotted a rock that seemed sufficient, the drow reaching out to it, the rock shimmering with purple energies as it flew towards him, planting itself firmly in Septimus's palm. Tossing it upwards, Septimus then generated a kinetic pulse within the very core of the stone, the rock shattering to dust instantly. Septimus smirked in satisfaction. This was convenient...

With Septimus delving into his magical studies, Desrium saw it as the time to leave his friend to work without his inherent interference. He stood and lifted the Lance from the pillar, taking the gold and silver spear in hand and heading back into the middle ground of the shrine to continue his own training.

Mara grinned as she used her staff to block the massive blade. Those that had expected the staff to be sliced in half were surprised when it actually held up, though with a chip nicked out of it.

" Taking your troops over to the meeting place would be just as foolish, Burzum. Your orcs want tender, young flesh. Bring them over there, and no ammount of control is going to keep anyone else who is also there safe. Your orcs will be slaughtered. I am taking the safer route by dealing with you first!" Mara boasted, her staff glowing brighter and brighter, until in releashed the energy in a giant blast of flames, blasting Burzum back, Mara herself also being blasted back...

Cyris looked around. Nobody was looking, good. She set her eyes on a large tiger, focusing her sights on the animal...

Nitsunobue felt a bit left out by this whole ordeal, but he listened in on the others as he relaxed his muscles. The burly brute took in a deep breath, as his eyes slowly began to close. The titan soon drifted off into a deep sleep... something uncommon for him these days...

Burzum cried out in pain, the old, wise Olog-Hai stumbling to his feet in exhaustion. The large being was wheezing now, his breaths deep and raspy as he tried to regain focus. Damn magic users.

"Why... what... how come..." Burzum coughed aloud as he hunched over, struggling to regain his breath. " *coughcoughcoughcough!* Your foolish... philosophy... will only lead to... pointless bloodshed! What you lack... is a sense of control! And that... is not what makes... a good leader. I will.... NEVER.. let you be the ruler of this place. Your lord.... Akuro will be my true heir!"

Burzum slumped over, the pain gettign to him from the numerous burns, the troll leaning on his blade to keep him on his feet.

Sharavuras soon entered the gates, having stood around long eough watching the fight...

The stalkers also began to move in, feeling the exact same way...

Cyris pulled out her crossbow, aiming carefully for the tiger's heart; the source of its boldness, wisdom, and courage. She set her finger on the trigger, not pulling back, but preparing to shoot an arrow into the cat's vital spots...

Septimus soon moved on to other uses for kinetic magic. Before long, he was walking on thin air, his hands engulfed in wisps of purple energy as he casually glided down to the courtyard, deciding it would be a good idea to explore the surrounding grounds and take a look at the various races present in the forest around the shrine. As he landed, he removed the satchel, producing from within a coat from within, a hood visible on its back. Putting it on, he then wore the satchel over it, hanging from his waist, behind him. lifting the hood over his head, he then headed into the forest, leaving no one the wiser as to his whereabouts or his identity. This would be fun...

She loaded a soul-engulfing arrow into the weapon, aiming carefully, her focus nearly perfect. She had an idea with what to do with the soul of the beast.

She wasn't going to keep it in her collection.

She was going to do something more... useful.
