Desrium held the spear horizontally in front of him with both hands, stopping the prehensile jaws from shutting on his metal body. One jaw was stopped by the blunt end while the other was impaled by the master works weapon. He dragged the double blades through the jaw, halving it further before twisting them down and stabbing into the dragon's chest again, keeping his grip tight so that he would not fall off his flying enemy.

Andruil's glowing yellow eyes scanned over the creatures, smirking, pointed fangs revealed as he flipped his blade in hand, shaking off the blackish blood of his last victim. "Aaah...So the hellhound finally rears its ugly head" said the Knight as he brought his shield up before him, his blade at the ready as his eerie eyes bored into his opponent's. Meanwhile, Bassunka was already racing after where his comrade had been sent, moving to assist...

The former Dragon let loose a gurgling snarl of pain as one of its 'jaws' was halved, as it broke into a high speed spin as it dove downwards, intent on throwing the armoured being off or disorientating him enough that it could attempt to consume him unhindered. Far above, the crackle of magically formed electricity, and the plume of Dragonfire began to blend, The Scholar following the remains of one of his kin, pure rage blistering and burning through his very being...

Sammael bared his fangs in a growl, tentacles on his head writhing spasmodically. He reared up on his hind legs and roared, but did not make the first move...

Two of Sammael's "children" moved in front of Bassunka, stalking him like monstrous wolves and keeping him away from his comrade. One of them made a feint, lunging forward and snapping his jaws, trying to scare Bassunka into making himself vulnerable...

The Blood Omen, devoid of the weaknesses of a mortal, held resolute. He reached out with a hand for one of the undead Hueilin's tucked in wings, securing a grip. With one swift motion, he ripped the spear from the creature's chest cavity and stabbed it into the joint where the limb attached to the body. Twisting the blades, Desrium dislocated the bone, rendering the wing unusable.

Nitsunobue was slowed to a stop by the magical wave. Seeing that he couldn't reach his far more powerful foe with his speed alone (the Archdemon would simply keep stallnig him until the negative energy ate away at him completely), Nitsunobue came up with a plan. Perhaps he could play the Archdemon's ego and trick the evil being into coming to HIM, instead of the other way around.

"Why don't you show me yourself your great power, Archdemon? Surely, one as powerful as yourself has no need for magic," Nitsunobue growled, somewhat tauntingly.

Agamemnon's form crumpled like a peice of worn paper, the fallen king's body soon becoming dissolved into the surrounding darkness...

Dhoulmagus, though shocked at Radamand's sheer will allowing him to break free from his illusion, was no fool. As soon as he saw Radamand begin to transform, he had shapeshifted into an Eagle and immediately took to the skies. He was no coward, but only a naive fool would dare fight a foe whom had power far greater than their own. Dhoulmagus realized this.

"Perhaps another day, giant. I would prefer to stay in one peice at the moment," Dhoulmagus sneered as he flew up into the heavens, disappearing into the blanket of darkness high above them...

With unholy determination, The Greater Shadowreaver powered onward, his form slowly but steadily becoming consumed by the powerful flames of both the dragon and the manticore. A peice of his leg and his hand soon fell off of his tattered body, the manticore's deadly flames doing their job, and a peice of its face had been blown off by the dragon's fireball, but the vengeance-driven Shadowreaver pursued, even as its body began to literally break apart. A purple sphere was fired out from the remaining hand of the nightmarish creature, slamming into the dragon's face, as another purplish beam lanced out of the shadowreaver's broken maw once more, slicing into the manticore's chest....

Kard shrugged. "I hope he does... but there's no way for us to be sure. I'm sure he will; that brute's got a lot of fight in'em for being a sack of bones." Kard placed his hand on Icil's shoulder. "Don't worry, okay? We'll get out of this- ALL of us, including Rattlebones- alright." Kard said with a warm, reassuring smile.

"And waste all the potential Eredar gave me?" Zazikel hissed, lifting a clawed hand and toying with tendrils of negative energy. "I think not..."

"Ah, but SURELY you can defeat me without your magic. Why waste your precious, precious magic on someone as low as me?" Nitsunobue hissed. The wyvern ever so slowly inched closer as he spoke, moving as discreetly as he possibly could.

The dragon howled its victory, the essence of the Shadowreaver aiding in healing his wounds somewhat. Immediately the beast dove back into the horde of creatures, ready to devour more of them.

Radamand glared at the monstrosity as it flew off, not attempting to stop it. Although quite enraged, he had enough sense to know that they still had an objective to fulfill, and chasing fleeing enemies did not further them to their goal. The enormous leviathan stomped its way through the battlefield, avoiding stepping into the defending armies in fear of crushing his allies, instead stomping up and over one of the cliff faces that cut off the crater itself from the rest of the world, before attacking the Shadowreaver army from the side. Although the mutants showed no sign of lessening, the Steward of Storms knew that the rear of the defense was at more risk. Breathing in deeply, Radamand exhaled a blistering cold onto the inner most ranks of the enemy, freezing the demonic creatures solid. Slamming a clawed hand into the ground, Radamand watched as the frozen demons shattered into millions of pieces.

The former Hueilin screeched as it tumbled towards the ground, before beating its working wing down, straightening it's spin and regaining control, as a gurgling growl came from the abomination, dark magical energy blasting violently from it's form, blowing both Desrium and his weapon off of it and to the ground below. The damaged wing joint then seemed to morph and bubble under the skin, bulging before the beast regained control, rising up once more, just in time to veer out of the way of Radamand's icy breath, arcing down under one massive arm and out under one side of the massive beast's flanks turning to find it's foes...

It didn't have long to wait. Almost as soon as it cleared Radamand's form, Septimus slammed into it's back from above, the blow knocking the beast out of control and sending it into a tumbling spin, Septimus's own wings digging firmly into the monstrosity's, the talons on the ends of his wings hooking into the membranes and pressing downwards, forcing the beast's wings down so it could not try and gain lift, as a pillar of fiery white energy burst from the Scholar's jaws, tearing through the corrupted Dragon's scales and flesh as the beast bellowed angrily...

"What are you, a damned pansy? Outnumber me and are STILL afraid to attack? How disappointing" taunted Andruil as he paced back and forth, keeping his weapons faced towards Sammael and his clones. "It seems the term 'Hellhound' is a misnomer. I've seen worse in Shadepines" he added. He was no fool. Making the first move when outnumbered would get him torn apart...

The Manticore snarled as it dove in, slamming right into the face of the Shadowreaver, its impressive 20 foot length making it a worthy adversary, as fangs and talons clashed with the eldritch beast, glowing wounds scarring the Manticore's hide as it attacked, Antar leaping as he landed on the monstrosity's already mangled head, tearing into it with his blades relentlessly, The King of the Barari Warriors proving his mettle against the abomination...

Bassunka snarled, the feint coming just close enough as his twisting blade-staff swung down over it's head, cleaving it clean in two, the Zuppolandian soldier never missing step, the pace of his attack blistering, as a result of having trained to be able to fight despite the hindrance of water, the lack of it amplifying his abilities tenfold...

Desrium's free fall did not last long for when the dragon turned itself skywards, its tail came into the armored being's grasp. Gripping one of the Hueilin's ribs, Desrium remained with his target, assaulting it with silent determination. He stabbed his spear into its decayed hide and held on with his vice-like hands as Septimus sent the beast into a forced dive...

Icil smiled and nodded once, acknowledging the encouragement.

Spiritjaw let out a roar, jumping onto Rattlebones's skull, slashing and tearing at the wyvern's thick head, burying his claws into the bones of the beast. He would not fall off so easily this time. The soul tiger bit into a vertebra, attempting to crush the bone with the pressure of his jaws. Rattlebones roared in agony. Just because he was a skeleton didn't mean that he still couldn't feel pain. The undead creature shook his head wildly, attempting to get the attacker off of his skull, his blue glowing eyes lighting the darkness in his sockets. Spiritjaw continued to slash and bite at the foe, leaving surprisingly deep marks with each attack. One of them would not make it out alive...

The beast let loose an unholy screech as Septimus bored through it's back, his beam burning into it's torso, extending the tear of it's horrible maw downwards, the beast frantically trying to swing its tail upwards, attempting to swing it over it's back and into Septimus, though the speed of their descent and movement made that nearly impossible. Failing that, it's tail began to flail wildly, attempting to throw off Desrium and throw off Septimus's balance in hopes of driving the Scholar into the ground on impact, a series of snaps indicating it was intentionally breaking and dislocating it's limbs to attempt to reach him...

Desrium drove the Lance of the Justicar deeper into the former dragon's tail and held onto it with both his hands as it swayed frantically. Momentum built up quickly and the armored being made use of his metal shell's weight, driving it onto one end of the spear. Acting like a lever, the spear's dual blades sliced through the vertebrae of the tail effortlessly, completely severing it and crippling the undead Hueilin's ability to balance, Desrium disappearing into the darkness as he fell towards the battlefield below...

The hellish scream of the undead abomination seemed to tear into the souls of those who heard it as it plummeted towards the earth. Septimus's arms crackled with violent electrical energy, as he unleashed a brutal electrical shockwave into the bases of both the beast's wings, the blasts vaporising the flesh and bone in their immediate proximity, blowing the beast's wings clean off as Septimus spread his wings violently, tearing whatever remnants of the wings were still attached to the body off, spreading his wings like vast hands as he let go of the two tattered bone-lined membranes, the two twisting and tumbling through the air as they zipped past him and his victim, the wind slowing their drop as Septimus now held onto the lump of mangled flesh that was once a Hueilin, its arms trying to reach up and grab him, but failing due to the amount of mass separating them from him, Septimus snarling as he clenched his taloned limbs firmly around the spine bones of the abomination, holding it firmly. "Be at peace, son of Khelisaad" growled Septimus lowly as the beast flailed, before tearing outwards, the Hueilin's jaws pluming with fiery energy as electricity crackled along his horns and jaws, a large fireball plunging through the gaping wound in it's back, before exploding violently within the beast, completely obliterating the remnants of its upper torso as Septimus kicked off, the corpse's mangled formed plummeting in chunks towards the ground below as the Scholar spread his wings widely, almost immediately stopping his fall as the momentum was transferred into forward force, the Dragon rocketing forward and banking as he ascended, turning to see where Desrium had fallen, moving to intercept his fall...

Desrium fell broadside, his front facing the ground as he rushed through the air. He swung his legs under him and straightened out just before he collided with the ground with a booming thud amidst the roar of battle. He rose from his crouched position within a small crater surrounded by the bodies of the battle fallen. He flexed his legs and sabatons to make sure they were not damaged from the fall from impossible heights. They were not.

The burnt and broken husk of the slain Hueilin was the next thing to violently crash into the ground. The remaining bulk of its body tumbled end over end several yards from the Blood Omen and was torn apart as it slid across the ground. A repulsive rain of charred flesh showered down over a similar range, pelting the deadened landscape and the defenders nearby...which were quite minimal in number. Desrium had fallen some ways away from the combat fronts...

It wasn't long before Septimus found his armoured companion, his wings thumping powerfully, kicking up dust, ash and remnants of body parts as he landed with a thump, craning his neck, his eyes glowing brightly, though the Dragon's breathing hinted that he had not yet recovered from the fight. His eyes scanned his comrade's form briefly, making sure he was intact. "I expected we might face one of my kind in this battle....But that did not dull the edge of the encounter" he rumbled lowly...

"Many have had to slay their own kin this day; so you were far from the only one faced with such a task. That said, you did not allow it to hinder your effectiveness" Desrium replied to his friend, clearly stating the hurtful truth. After a short moment of silence, he also said "I ended his suffering as quickly as I could. Perhaps that will serve to console you"

"I could not let that insult to my friend's memory continue to exist" rumbled Septimus lowly. It weighed on him, but he understood that he couldn't let himself linger on it now. There was a battle to win. "Thank you, my friend. It means a lot to me that you ended his suffering quickly" he growled lowly as he smiled at the Blood Omen. Desrium's means were crude, but there was no doubt he had a heart of gold...

"There are many more who beg for liberation from their enslavement. We should not deny them any longer" Desrium said, stepping out of the depression left from his landing and climbing up Septimus' side. Once more, the armored being was situated atop the Hueilin Scholar's back...

Septimus nodded as he flexed his wings, checking himself for damage. his chest scales were somewhat scorched from a direct attack from the undead Hueilin, most of which he had contained and redirected, his back had a burn wound across it from a Shadowreaver, as well as a small burn on the very tip of his tail fin, also from a Shadowreaver, and he had numerous small cuts across his scales and wing membranes from lesser scuffles throughout the battle, some of them from the struggling Hueilin monstrosity. With a powerful beat of his massive wings, the Dragon launched himself into the air, blowing away a couple of oncoming attackers with the sheer force of the wind kicked up beneath him, the Dragon rising rapidly as he began searching for a new opponent...
