A state that bans fireworks is a sad state...

saw the amazing spiderman a few days back, and liked it. Definitely better than the original 3...

The first one was pretty good, but suffered from corny dialogue and semi-bad effects, the second was the best of the three, but I simply couldn't get with doctor octopus, and the subplot with peter's power failure felt very... bland, and the 3rd... do I even need to say why, aside from emo-peter and a crowded movie?

Not to say that the reboot didn't have it's own problems, especially the musical score... IT DIDN'T FIT!

Wow.

Anyone else notice the site is uncharacteristically quiet?

Dm's missing...Murloc tripped and fell off the face of the earth....HF and FM got sucked into the void...IK's barely there...Gira seems to be talking from beyond his 'distortion world'

Very strange indeed...

And now, for something completely different.

Funny you put it that way, CS. In my game of Empire: Total War, I'm actually protecting the US from the French, as England.

as for banning fireworks, here its the same with foam spray and silly string. Government's banned the sale and use of it on national holidays because a couple of years back it caused a severe traffic congestion issue that caused the death of several people [people were foaming up cars at traffic lights, causing them to stop, and that in turn prevented government vehicles like police and fire brigade from getting where they were needed].

So yeah, maybe there's a reason for fireworks being banned in some states.

Then again, maybe its just the Government o-pressin' the people ayund instigatin' a new civil war with the die-hard confederates.

Sorry. Couldn't help it >.>

That and I could use some decent rain. It's 130 degrees and rising here. hell, 102-105 at NIGHT. You could literally cook your lunch on the hood of your car at noon. In fact, the Kuwaiti Armed Forces are actually doing that in some places [particularly in places where they can't be bothered to go to the mess hall, or have better ideas for food than what's being served]

Yeah, I've been sick for the past several days. The last thing I cared about was posting on here. I think I'm on the tail end of it, but we'll see what happens.

I've kind of gotten lazy when it comes to posting in the RPGs and themed E-wars. I'll try to get to posting in one or two of them soon. My main problem is that I'm not much of a guy who thinks up plots.

About the void thing... yeah, it's my fault those two are gone.

As for the RPG, I'm still formulating ideas, and being stuck with a 3DS to type on doesn't help...

and it's that hot over there?! Good night... and I thought Fairbanks was sweltering... I literally cannot sleep at night due to how hot it is...

Luckily we're adapted to the heat. 130 to me is a normal sunny day. Most of the time I spent in the UK and US [Even in places like LA] during my summer visits I was wearing a jacket, while a lot of the locals were going around topless and sweating buckets :P. Suffice to say, I got more than a few odd looks.

Add to that, our homes have Central A/C units. Keeps the indoor temperature a comfortable 70-75 degrees. That way you don't end up baking under your own blankets [It's not really that big a deal so long as I'm not sweating. And that doesn't happen till the temperature hits the 110-120 range. before then, I'm just toasty :P]

IK, you should know by now the best plots are cooperative ones. Simple solution: 1) Decide on an RPG/E-War, 2) Find a member whose active there [or is otherwise known for plots and such], 3) Ask to join in on some brainstorming and posting. hell, have you characters run into someone and see what happens. The more crazy the character combination, the better :>

Gira: As if.

That's all I'm saying.

As if. :P

KP: You already know the story. But for everyone else's benefit I'mma say it here:

Real life is taking more of a priority in my life right now. Between everything going on with my family, summer school (I have to try and finish two courses' worth of work in the weeks before I go on vacation), getting ready to turn eighteen and for the responsibilities my parents are probably going to expect me to take on, figuring out when I'm going to learn to drive (no I still haven't, don't ask why) and get my license, and trying to take a more active role in deciding where my life is going to go after high school...my online life is taking a bit of a back seat.

I'm sorry to the people that may inconvenience. I really am. But with everything going on...I can't juggle that and keeping a steady schedule online anymore. I've tried. I always lean back toward the people who need me more.

Again, I'm truly sorry.

This is all well and good, but I feel that some things are still left unsaid. My motto is, you can't be too busy to post a sentence or two. Can you be so busy that you don't feel up to it? Sure. But you cannot be 100% unable to post unless you don't have access to the internet or you are seriously ill or impaired.

Not wanting to post is fine. I do it a lot, but I will openly say I don't feel like it. But I ALWAYS try to get myself out of the spotlight if I know I'm losing interest. I try to minimize the amount of people I'm ******* over with my lack of activity. In most cases its just CS who gets ****** over, and he's CS, so no one cares.

Basically: If you don't want to post, say so. Don't make excuses. That isn't to say that a busy schedule can't conflict with posting, it absolutely can. But there is a limit to what is believable. Its perfectly acceptable to chat and throw your opinion around on the site without ever getting involved in the RPGs.

But if you don't want to post, get the **** out've the spotlight. If you WANT to post, but are too busy, then you still need to understand you can't get as involved as others. You must find balance.

I'm being totally and completely honest, no excuses at all. It's not that I don't want to post, it's that I literally barely have any wiggle-room in my schedule right now and you all have a right to know that. Believe me or not, I have no control over it all.

I'm still waiting for MT to post in FRPG. :/ Besides, only Nitsunobue's really left involved in the big battle on my side. Everyone else is dead, fled, or is just a mook.

G4E: I'm questioning MT's motivation to post. A recent incident seems to have drained him of his will to be active. Could be he's just tied up with RL and will get back soon, but eh. I wouldn't hold my breath.

IK: Just about every character I own [aside from Crusher, Nightshade and Ripper, the latter two for obvious reasons and the former because I'm working on breaking him out of limbo with TT] is free. Well, discounting blade. he's barely larger than a Compy at the moment so there really isn't much point in encountering him at this time :P [Well, unless you want to pull an LBT-ish hatchling gets lost plot, but yeah, that's up to you. I don't mind personally]. So, that means Rook, Thrasher, Erebus and Fatalis. and technically, Aurora too, though I will have to have her leaver Blade for a while, and with her highly protective nature it's unlikely unless there's a particularly good reason.

IK: I'm starting to feel a little better myself, so I'd be okay with doing something in ISS. None of my characters are doing anything anyway.

I'm willing to get my guy to run into Howler if Howler will be alone, since My raptor would leave Stoneclaw quickly unless he was forced to work with him to get out of a situation alive.
