I gave my old Gameboy color and my Pokemon games to someone who would get a lot more use out of them than I have in recent years. Since then he has abused it day and night. XD

I still have mine, covered in dust, sitting inside my bedside locker. Pokemon Gold in the slot, a badly worn Pokemon Blue next to it, and somewhere in the corner, an old dejected Warrio.

Forgive me for going to a different subject but, which kind of dragon is your favorite? My favorite's are the designs in Skyrim and the Legend of Spyro series.

Skyrim's definitely one of the best in my opinion but i find spyro's design to goofy.

MH is good and i know that the "Dragons" in skyrim are technically Wyvern's but they're called Dragons so i just just call them what the game calls them

Breaking the game listings to name the Coatyl as my favorite. :P You've got a feathered dragon, you can base its design on any bird you can think of, or freehand it. A lot of potential there for artistic freedom.

Yeah the Monster Hunter series has some pretty cool dragon designs. I like how the Deviljho is a flightless Wyvern. Pretty clever idea.

Um... Deviljho is a Brute Wyvern, which may as well be therapods...

Oh. i thought it was the kind of Wyvern that would be a dragon. But then again, Monster Hunter seems to rely on different physics so I guess I can't blame it for that.

Excuse my ignorance, but what are all the different types of dragons anyway?
I know there are those like Drakes, Wyverns, Hydras, and a few more, but not sure.
Do Blackwings/Fell Beasts count as dragons? =D

let me list the ones in this book in front of me that you haven't named. XD

Amphiptere, Arctic Dragon, Asian Dragon, Basilisk (not the giant snake from harry potter :P), Coatyl, Dragonette, Feydragon, Sea Orc, Wyrm.

All listed in the Dracopedia. Which I got in the hopes of learning how to draw dragons, because I fail. XD Doubtless there are dozens more.

The most common terms, as far as I know, are as follows:

Whelp: Baby dragon.
Drake: Teenaged dragon.
Dragon: Duh.
Wyrm: Ancient dragon.

Wyvern: Dragons with only two legs. Usually smaller.

Hydras are actually not dragons at all.

It depends on what your reading.

I find 'dragon' tends to be used when a creature is warranted a certain degree of respect and fear, for example, Smaug in 'The Hobbit.'

Wyrm on the other hand, tends to be used in an attempt to class them as pests, down playing their strength. They mean to allege them to be as insignificant worms. (fans of worms, don't take offence, I mean in a historical context)
Dragons are terrifying beasts, so by playing their reputation down, it can be easier to rally troops to hunt them.
For example, in the Farmer Giles of Ham, the king often referred to the dragon 'Chrysophylax' as a Wyrm.

Edit:
I am of course referring only to the mythology of the European Dragon. In Chinese lore, dragons were normally benevolent god like figures.

Quick announcement: This may not change much of my posting irregularities on this site to begin with, but don't expect it to improve any time soon. Some really stressful stuff went down over the weekend, the details of which I'm willing to discuss over a PM with anyone who asks, but definitely not on a public forum. My brain is effectively burned out, and any energy and motivation I have left is being put into school.

I'm really sorry if this slows any RPs down, but I'll probably be better off by next weekend.
