I dont disagree, and i never stated in my profile that it is his primary weapon

All i said is that pollutant chemicals live side by side with the bacteria
Never said it was lethal, never said it would kill

The way i see it, if an opponent smells chemicals from his breath, they would (theoretically) think, "Hmmm... something isnt right....theres something not normal..."

I had no intention of it being a lethal weapon

@Kingpin

i mean, had you thought that i was treating it as a lethal weapon, would you have accepted my profile?

No. But I was reserving judgement on your RPing competence. People have made mistakes and I wanted to wait and see if you would too. But seeing as this issue has been addressed, it seems you have passed the 'test', as it were.

Sorry KP, but my motivation for posting some places has dropped sharply as of late. A lot of it is for personal reasons, which I won't get into. In fact, the only reason I'm posting so much in the Temporal RPG is because it's fresh, and I'm using some characters I wanted to use recently. There's a LOT of stuff I haven't been in the mood for, so just bear with me, okay?

T-Rex bite marks have been found on all sorts of bone, but there have never been signs of an infectious bite wound IIRC. Some dinosaur bones have evidence of disease or infection from these gross looking polyps that sprout on them but if Rex had a bacterial bite, wouldn't these polyps show up around every puncture mark in a bone?

Exhibit A) infectious bite clearly visible, along side charming smile.

I understand, Dm. But remember our golden rule: RPGs wait for no one [The only way that rule doesn't apply is when there are so few players involved that it is dependent on said player's activity to the point that it is completely disabled when they stop, as is the case with SEW]

as for the absence of an infectious bite in Rex: Call it creative freedom, ala spitting Dilos :P

Like I said already, former comparisons between Rex and Komodo Dragons are completely false, because it's been proven Komodo Dragons have venom glands, not bacteria.

isn't in a post. It's in some documentaries citing an infectious bite in Rex :P

No one takes that docu seriously... it's like the poor man's version of WWD, only far less accurate.

It isn't the only one, however. It seems to be a fad in documentaries lately, saying Rex had an infectious bite.

Speaking of documentaries

Has there been anything recent in regards to the soft tissue fragments found in the rex fossils?

^ Last I heard, they dismissed it as something else, maybe some byproduct of bacteria like biofilm or whatever...

IIRC, they were still working on it. But the fact they found soft tissue there at all says a LOT for life's resilience.

I can't help but wonder how it took them this long to realize Komodo victims were being poisoned, not diseased or infected.

Also, I haven't been on much because of my laptop. It's getting more and more glitchy by the day. For the past few months it's automatically been logging me on to a temp account whenever I try to log in. If I do anything beyond putting the laptop to sleep (log off, hibernate, shut down), it wipes itself.
Considering just moving all my stuff to a desktop and buying some kind of tablet, rather than another laptop, but I'm not sure which would be for the best. Apparently something like an iPad is more optimal for comfortable media viewing/listening, internet browsing, etc. Just doesn't have the functionality of a laptop for higher end software and the like. I believe Microsoft is also coming out with a couple new ones within the month. Any thoughts on which is a better option?

As an owner of a laptop and an iPad, I'd say go for the laptop if you can. Like you said, a lot more functionality for higher end programs, while the ipad is for relatively low intensive apps among other media programs

I'm planning on getting a laptop myself actually. Hopefully a relatively high end one, so that I have something I can work at college with, or entertain myself during long breaks/trips to places where my PC isn't accessible.

The mobility is too good to ignore. If I had the choice of having my PC's functionality in something portable, I'd go for it right away.
