As an owner of a laptop and an iPad, I'd say go for the laptop if you can. Like you said, a lot more functionality for higher end programs, while the ipad is for relatively low intensive apps among other media programs

I'm planning on getting a laptop myself actually. Hopefully a relatively high end one, so that I have something I can work at college with, or entertain myself during long breaks/trips to places where my PC isn't accessible.

The mobility is too good to ignore. If I had the choice of having my PC's functionality in something portable, I'd go for it right away.

It just so happened my dad had an iPad 2 he had had gotten free for work that he didn't use much, so he let me borrow it.
Your posts, combined with the fact that it refused to sync with iTunes has me leaning pretty heavily toward a laptop as well.

This reminds me of the oldest game like ever. (Not literally)
I remember when i was in 3rd grade i think. They had a game in the classroom that if you were the best behaved you would be allowed to play.

It involved a time traveling raptor with a jetpack (i dont remember the plot, i didnt really pay attention)
and you could shoot stuff from your jetpack to attack other dinos.

I just went around shooting everything
