'Coward, just wait till I get you in my claws' she thought, a roar erupting from her jaws. She charged, snapping her blood stained teeth within a few feet of the two spinosaurs. She needed the two to near the water,in the case the unknown beast lunged out for a quick meal. She began to inch her way into the water, letting her bloody limb lure in the beast. "Come on, I'm not getting any stronger here," she hissed, trying to coax the two in...

The moment the Spinosaur's bloody leg touched the water, the river practically exploded. Massive jaws lined with bone crushing teeth clamped shut around the limb, the gargantuan Deinosuchus having sunk below the surface moments before, poised to strike. The other Spinosaurs backed away at the sight of the attacking predator, Thrasher smirking. "No, no you're not. In fact, I'd say you've just about reached the limits of your capability. It's been fun, cousin. I can't say you'll be missed" rumbled the Spinosaur as the Deinosuchus thrashed, pulling Nuka's leg out from under her, trying to throw her off balance and pull her deeper into the water...

"Crap!" she screeched before she was dragged into the murky depths. Fearing for her life, she turned her body around and attacked. She bit down on the creature's snout, keeping her jaws on top of the croc's nostrils', her clawed hands gripping the beast's head, her claw tips digging into the deinosuchus's eyes. She thrashed, trying to break free, even at the cost of a broken leg.

A gurgling snarl rumbled beneath the water, the Deinosuchus's eyes sinking into it's skull as it closed them tightly, trying to protect them from further damage. The behemoth writhed beneath the water's surface, twisting as it went into a death roll, still locked firmly around the Spinosaur's leg...

Panicking, Nuka began attacking the underside of the croc as the croc began to spin. She grabbed the mutant's body, holding onto as she tried to survive the death spin. She took a gulp of air as her head submerged in the swampy liquid.

With the weight of the Spinosaurus acting against her, and the sheer force of the Deinosuchus's spin, it seemed the result was inevitable, a resounding CRACK audible in the water, reaching Thrasher's ears even over the sound of the splashing, the Spinosaur cringing as he realised just what had happened. In that first roll, Nuka's knee had been shattered, unable to take the combined force of the spin and her weight, the two powers pulling in opposite directions on a joint never meant to handle that kind of stress. The murky brown water was tinged red as the attack continued, only becoming more brutal by the moment...

Bellowing in pain, she had enough. Her vision became blurred and blood red as she began to rip the deinosuchus apart. She gripped the closest front leg in her jaws, twisting it. 'You will suffer for what you did to me, you putrid lizard' she thought briefly, her claws crushing whatever was touching her fingertips.

With the twisting of the Deinosuchus keeping things shaken, it was nearly impossible to keep from drowning, much less gather the strength and control needed to successfully aim a counter attack. That same thrashing roll was followed by a sickening rip as the lower leg of the Spinosaur was torn off completely, the Crocodile turning away and beneath the surface in the murky, bloody, churning water, the leg floating loose, abandoned. Other eyes now watched the Spinosaurus, other crocodiles looking to feed off the massive feast, though hesitant to approach just yet, not wanting to unwittingly get in the way of the goliath beneath the surface...

Howling in pain, she almost passed out and drowned from the sheer amount of pain when her lower leg was ripped off. Crippled and quickly loosing blood, she swiped her tail desperately, trying to get to shore. "Someone help me, please," she pleaded, unsuccessfully swimming. She knew that the croc would return, knowing that she couldn't survive another roll.

Aircrest looked up and cocked his head at the wail that reached his ears. The sound seemed to travel down the windowless hallway he was in, bouncing around and gaining an unsettling echo. He wondered what was going on outside, but was quite happy knowing that he couldn't see it. Fatalis would more than likely fill him in on the details, watching from whichever part of the building he was in now. Not that the service would be asked for. The green raptor turned his attention back to the dark, confined straight. Very little ambient light reached this lower level of the building. Though he couldn't quite make out the fine details of his surroundings, he knew from the texture of the floor he stood on that everything ahead of him was covered in overgrowth. Leafy vines sprawled across every square inch, growing on the walls, the floor and the ceiling.

Aircrest questioned why the vines were so prevalent here. The upper floors of the building also had thick mattings of plant life, but the raptor reasoned that this was because they were exposed to much more light than this isolated stretch of space tucked away. His answer came in the form of a door, one he bumped his nose into. Aircrest snorted and stepped back a few paces from the spot where the hallway ended abruptly before approaching it again. With his clawed hands, he searched for the handle in the dark, finding it after a short while of running the back of his fingers against the cool metal. He hooked the handle in a hand and pressed down while stepping forward, pushing against the door with a shoulder.

The door did not open easily. Years of neglect, exposure to the elements and the vines growing across the outside of it all contributed to the door needing a bit of effort to open. It did not squeak or groan as much as it snapped and rustled as Aircrest stretched and broke the vines. A small crack grew into a space large enough for the green raptor to fit through, letting a soft light spill into the hallway for the first time in decades. The sound of splashing amidst pained calls became louder to Aircrest's ears. He peeked around the edge of the door, looking across the hard black ground to the river. It was suddenly alive with foam and ripples as the spinosaur struggled back to shore. Thrasher and his company were too far away and occupied by the display to notice the door opening and the new pair of eyes looking on.

Aircrest glanced over to the side and saw the massive facility that stood beside the waste pool. It was directly across from the building he was in, a short sprint away. With the spinosaurs focused on the now stricken rival, he could sneak over there in plain sight without drawing their attention... but he chose not to. Not without Hellfire, at the very least. Aircrest slunk back behind the door, heading back down the hall.

Hayasa and Timsah looked at Nuka, gripped in sick fascination and no small measure of horror. To think that mere moments earlier, they had been walking through the same waterway that monster patrolled. Before anything else could be done, however, Nuka's tail became the next victim of the crocodile's wrath, the Deinosuchus viciously clamping down on the lashing limb and yanking her back into the depths of the river, destroying any hopes she had of escape before once again going into a roll, this time trying to sever the Spinosaur's tail. By now, other crocodiles of differing sizes were beginning to enter the water, slowly tightening the ring around the Spinosaurid, eager for a share of the soon-to-be kill...

Hellfire wasn't too far behind. A thud came from the room beyond the hall, the Deinonychus landing through a hole in the ceiling, orange eyes shimmering in the darkness of the barely lit chamber. The normally slitted pupils of the Dromaeosaurid were now nearly wide enough to take up the entirety of his eyes, soaking in as much light as could be had in this dark place. Undergrowth sprawled across the floor, walls and ceiling, clinging from cracks above him like snakes from a tree branch, the flora of the swamp slowly retaking this alien place. grey-green blocks with blackish grey faces sat on angular surfaces, computers meant to regulate the power for the station, though the Deinonychus would have no way of knowing the purpose of these strange things. On the ground, beneath the web of plantlife, bands of 3 or more oddly coloured vines, cables in truth, snaked along the ground below grates, moving in an angular path to places beyond the walls of the room. Were it not for the importance of catching up with Aircrest, he could well have spent hours here, tangled in his own fascination. To think, Very few creatures on this island had lived to witness these places as they had originally been...and Ripper was likely the most knowledgeable of them. The horrified screeches from beyond the buildings walls suddenly grew louder, pulling the Deinonychus from his thoughts. Eyes narrowing, he pressed on into the hallway from where the sound had come. Odds are, Aircrest would likely be within it.

And indeed he was. It only took Hellfire a few strides into the heavily overgrown hallway to see the silhouette of the green Raptor returning from the end of it, undoubtedly to report his findings, suggest a plan or perhaps ask for him to join him. Cocking his head, an inquisitive purr escaped the Dromaeosaurid, curious to know what had new developments the Wanderer had to share...

She screeched, coughing underwater, only seeing red streaks as she spun in the copper tasting water. She thrashed once, kicking out her only functioning leg. Hoping the kick landed, no matter how unlikely, on the croc that was currently ripping her apart. She shut her eyes, fearing for what she would see, preparing for the inevitable...

"Found the ground-side exit," Aircrest growled simply after he stopped in front of Hellfire. "Thrasher's too busy watching his latest victim meet their... end. We could probably make our way over to the really big cliff-cave next to the pool and see how things are there. Did you and Fatalis find anything in here?"

At the angle the Deinosuchus had attacked from, Nuka's kick was too far forward to reach it, a series of cracks being heard before the tail was torn off. The Deinosuchus was quick to let go of the severed appendage before once more swimming off through the bloody water. For whatever reason, this mutated creature seemed especially sadistic, actually seeming to aim for non fatal blows, even though by now much of the Spinosaur's blood would likely have been pumped out of her body by her beating heart. Shock was likely beginning to kick in, and death wasn't too far. The other creatures in the river seemed to know this, as some had already started feeding on the severed limbs, a few adventurous ones going for the stumps on her body where the tail and leg had once been, though many were still hesitant knowing the Super Croc was still not done with its victim...

"Nothing out of the ordinary. Vines and plant growth everywhere, some odd box like things lying around, coloured vines in places...That's about it" hissed Hellfire. "As for Fatalis, I'm fairly sure he's still watching the carnage outside. I like a good kill as much as the next predator, but that Raptor is something else. Wouldn't be surprised if he had a fair bit of mutant in him with that kind of mentality" growled the Deinonychus, a note of disgust in his voice...

She paddled her arms slowly, rising toward the surface, her lungs burning. The moment her nostrils touched the surface, she took in many quick breathers. She padded her hands a few more times, giving her a couple of seconds to rest. Every time a croc tried to bite her wounds, she lashed out with her jaws, scaring it away. With a mighty roar, she submerged, loosing consciousness, her body growing numb. 'May I be with Nani , my daughters, Mapy and Terra, and uncle Scimitar' she thought before she lost consciousness, sinking to the bottom of the murky, blood filled depth.

"That's something to think about," Aircrest replied without inflection. Inwardly, he was troubled by Hellfire's tone. The deinonychus was ruthless in a fight and impassive towards most other things. It took an enhanced degree of deplorable behavior to repulse him, and Fatalis reached that threshold. Much more than that, his possible relation to mutants was worrying as well. The dark scaled raptor did possess quills on his head, a hallmark of the savage variants that roamed the island. What would become of Fatalis was something Aircrest had to consider when all of this was said and done...

"What is?" hissed a voice above, Fatalis's head poking out of a hole in the tiling on the ceiling. "Does it matter?" growled Hellfire, returning to his completely impassive tone once more. Fatalis had obviously only caught what Aircrest responded with, missing Hellfire's statement. "Guess not. Did you see that croc? It was ferocious. Even Thrasher cringed when it tore that other Spino apart" barked Fatalis, shifting topics on the spot as the Deinonychus shushed him with a hiss. "...Are you done trying to tell the whole swamp we're here?" growled Hellfire, Fatalis cocking his head in thought. "Hmm...guess I can tone it down for a bit. You really need to lighten up though" growled the Velociraptor, Hellfire simply looking at him, face blank of any expression. "See, that's exactly what I'm talking about"...

As the corpse slowly stopped moving, burning out its last shreds of energy, the Deinosuchus returned, tearing into the dead Spinosaur's ribcage before rolling, tearing apart a massive chunk of flesh and bone, gulping it down whole, smaller crocodiles swarming the corpse, being careful to stay on the farthest edge of the kill from the mutated behemoth as possible. Thrasher watched the scene through indifferent, emotionless eyes, turning away from the bloodbath as he hissed to the others. "Come on. This spot is too dangerous to use as our nest. We need to put some distance between us and this place" rumbled the giant, moving ahead, Bahari, Hayasa, Timsah and the two juveniles following him...

"Quiet, both of you," Aircrest hissed as he cocked his head. He heard thudding from outside, a low sound that traveled through the building and made dust drift down from above, some loose bits and pieces falling down from various places out of sight. "Fatalis, is Thrasher on the move?" he called up to the other velociraptor.

Fatalis ducked back into the hole he had been using to speak to the two, heading off to one of the windows on the upper level. After a while of silence, he returned. "Seems he's leaving. Can't say I blame him. Wouldn't want that Croc sneaking up on me in the night if I were in his place" he hissed...

Aircrest frowned at the news. The tainted pool needed to be destroyed, but was he supposed to just let Thrasher go off into the night? The mutants could be stopped in this part of the island, but Thrasher could resurface elsewhere with another group of followers to reclaim what he lost to Crusher. Aircrest was not going to choose one over the other.

"Fatalis, go after him. Make sure to mark your path along the way and for the sake of yourself and everyone counting on you: stay the hell out of sight! Hellfire and I will go explore the area while you're gone. Once you find out where Thrasher's gone to, make your way right back here."
