Steeltalon tilted her head to one side, curious, but she said nothing. Silver wandered over to Steeltalon and gave a tired chirp. She curled up beside Steeltalon's foot and fell asleep.

Sandstorm looked down at the sleeping hatchling and smiled "wow thats one tired little raptor oh well Im leave tonight I have to get searching for Shadow leaf Im sure shes alive." Just then he heared the same two barks he heard earlyer answered by two more, just alot closer. Something clawed the back of his mind. then a screech was heard coming from the jungle. He commented "Looks like someone is hunting in your territory, Im going to rest up" he walked over to the tree and lay down by its base. he enjoyed the shade provided by the big tree.

Steeltaon nodded. "I hope Shadowleaf's alright," she murmured, picking Silver up gently and taking her into the caves. She set the hatchling down in the usual spot and came back out of the caves, settling down in a sunny spot to rest. She would go investigate the barks when she wasn't so tired.

Darkness watched Sandstorm walk over to the tree. "I'll tell her soon." a voice in his head reminded him. Darkness shook his head but the voice continued. "I have to tell her soon....but she has to be alone..."

"She was alone! You missed your chance!" the sound of his own voice rung in his head. "That can't be the end of it. Maybe when Sandstorm is asleep....Silver is already asleep..."

"And what if Steeltalon joins them? You can't wake her and expect her to be friendly and the others around her to stay asleep! the voices continued. Why wouldn't it stop? "Its worth a shot, ok!" the final voice sounded and there was silence around Darkness. He sighed in relief, and waited to see if Steeltalon were to join Sandstorm and Silver...

Steeltalon laid her head down, tiredness starting to catch up to her. She curled up more comfortably in the sun and started to doze off.

Darkness saw Steeltalon relax. "This is your chance! Go now, before its too late!" the voice sounded in his head. Darkness got up slugishly and walked over to Steeltalon. ....Steeltalon...could I...uh...talk to you? Darkness managed to growl, though it was low and barely noticable. It's ok if you want to sleep... he growled, not knowing he was obviously embarrassed...

Sandstorm had long fallen asleep, the excitment before had tired him out. Besides he wanted to be in full strentgh for when he set off searching for Shadow leaf.

Two shapes moved silently through the trees. raptors. They approached an area consisting of a bunch of rocks, a cave and a stream. They stood there silently. One of them was pure black with three orange stipes, one on his snout, one across his wasit and another around the tip of his tail. The other was greyish with spots. blood driped of the first ones claws, making a small puddle below the trees.....

Darkness was afraid of this. I'll make it quick... he growled, trying not to anger the female. I just wanted to say that I think of you of more than just an ally... he growled, his voice barely a whisper. He walked back over to his spot and layed back down...

Steeltalon smiled. She was wondering when Darkness would work up the nerve to tell her. "Same to you," she barked quietly. She laid her head back down and quickly fell asleep. The day's events had exhausted her.

Upon hearing this, Darkness froze. Had he heard something different? He had the urge to make the loudest barks in his life, but he resisted. He closed his eyes and tryed to sleep, but the triumph and excitement were too much for him. He lay there, thinking about these last few moments...

Switchblade sat in her nest and watched a herd of strange looking herbivores walk by. Their claws are huge! She thought. I wonder what they use them for. She quietly got up and padded closer, then ducked behind a fern to avoid being seen. "Wow, they're so big!" she whispered. They were coming in her direction, so Switchblade thought that she had better get back to the nest. She backed out of the ferns as quietly as possible. Then she squeaked as she walked into a twig with her bad leg. She didn't stick around to find out if the herbivores heard her. Limping slightly, she sprinted back to the nest.

Redtooth never noticed Switchblade leave and come back, as he was too busy watching the herd pass by him.

I don't think Redtooth even knows I left. Switchblade thought. Then she said out loud to herself, "I'm hungry." There were several compys nearby in the undergrowth, but she was hesitant about trying to catch one again. Last time it hadn't worked out well, and her leg still hadn't completely recovered from it. If it weren't for that accident, her leg might have been better by now. So she watched them run around and squabble among themselves.

Redtooth thought for a moment. He hissed, "Maybe you'd like one of these Therizinosaurs? They may have big claws, but I've killed my fair share of them. Watch and learn how to hunt." He quietly got up and headed to the edge of the lake, inching closer to one of herbivores and pretending he was ignoring them.

The two shapes waited for the raptors to fall asleep, then they moved noiselessly over each one sniffing. They passed over darkness. a voice growled "not him, i dont know who he is" they passed over steeltalon and a voice growled "Nope, I think thats Steeltalon" They passed over Sandstorm "Thats him" a voice growled

Sandstorm was half sleeping, half thinking. he was wondering about Shadow leaf but more than that he was wondering about those 4 barks and what they were. Suddenly a voice shouted at him from inside his head "THE CODE!" He woke with a start. He looked up, above him in the trees was two raptors, they looked they had jumped right out of a nightmare he was about to bark out a warning when a chunk of meat fell down next to him and the larger raptor growled "Thought you might be hungry, long time no see Sandstorm" Sandstorm squinted and growled " Clawfist, is that you!" Clawfist had grown alot sinse he saw him last. The two raptors droped down silently to reveal themselvs as Clawfist and Softfoot. Sandstorm was a bout to speak when Softfoot hissed "Shadow leaf is in a cave to the south west, shes injured and needs your help." He snarled not really knowing what was going on "Then lets go rescue her!" Clawfist put a foot on him as he tryied to get up. He growled "Way ahead of you. We found her on the ground being eaten alive by compys. Shes unconcsis." Sandstorm didnt understand what was going on. Clawfist growled grufly "We arnt getting the pack back together. Softfoot and I have un-finshed business with a pack of raptors thats 40 strong in numbers. We are going to war against them. You and Shadow leaf on the other hand have a future if you come with us, you dont. So we arnt going to let you come." Softfoot whisspered "say goodbye and thanks to steeltalon for me, and tell Scar and Shadow that I survived" The two raptors clambered into the trees and Sandstorm hissed desperate to try and stop them "Wait! uh ah.... How are going to fight 40 strong?" Clawfist looked down and growled "On my own I have already killed 9. They are floating in the lake where they left Quicktooth, dont follow us, save Shadow leaf" Then they disappeared.
Sandstorm lay ther panting, not knowing what had just happened. Shadow leaf!" he gasped He got up and started runing to the south west, reapeating "Shadow leaf, Shadow leaf" as he ran

Switchblade watched wide eyed as Redtooth set up his attack. I don't know about this she thought. She slowly crawled into some bushes to conceal herself and watched the events unfold.

Ghost had caught a baby stegosaurus that had wandered off and gotten lost it was big enough to feed both him and Bloodrose, but small enough to be moved back to the cave by himself. As he approached the cave he noticed that Bloodrose was traveling in and out quite often. What's going on? He barked to her. Oh just making a nest. She barked in response looking at him with a grin on her maw. Ghost nearly dropped the kill right there. Ghost then drug the kill up into the cave and told Bloodrose about the meeting with Sandstorm and she told him about the nest building. Well seems we have good news all around don't we? Ghost barked. Yeah we do. Bloodrose barked back grinning.[/i]
