So I've heard... Darkness growled, remembering the hatchling's words to Silver. He continued to watch the hatchlings, but his mind was elsewhere. Darkness was thinking about his next talk with Steeltalon. Couldn't they ever have a normal, friendly discussion? Apparenty not... Darkness thought to himself. Way to go Darkness... he repeated in his mind.

[Legendary Elite]

Goldfang watched quietly as the two trikes clashed. They both pushed back and forth. He could easily tell one of them was an old bull as it was bigger than its rival and had scars on it from predator attacks as well as spikes on its frill bitten off. The younger male was obviously doing its first fight for mating. The two Trikes dueled and moved further and further away from the herd as well as the other ceratopsians. Then suddenly a cry came out, the older bull began to make hollering noises. Goldfang saw why, its horn had been ripped off from its head. The younger male trike bellowed as the older bull trodded off. The younger male then turned around and headed back for the herd. Goldfang slowly stalked the older bull as it trudged onward. He flexed his claws and sickle toes and fangs, ready to strike. He also noticed that from where the horn had been ripped off, it was bleeding over the trike's eye, making him only able to see with one. This would give Goldfang an even more advantage over the herbivore. As he got closer, Goldfang trod over a stick which caused the bull to stop and turn toward the sound. Carefully he waited until the animal had turned around and then ran at the trike. Goldfang leapt out of the shrubs onto the trike's back before the herbivore had time to swerve around. He dug his sickle claws, claws and fangs into the herbivore's rump. The trike kicked with its back legs and thrashed about. Goldfang leapt off and screeched to get the trike's attention. The trike bellowed before charging at Goldfang who leapt over the trike. The Trike swerved around and charged again. Goldfang ran to the side and around before making another leap onto the dinosaur's back. Goldfang slashed and bit before leaping off again. The trike was losing this battle and was growing tired and weary. Goldfang knew this was a battle that he would win. The wounds were taking their tolls on the animal and he was starting to bleed from those wounds on his back. The trike was not in a state of shock but weariness. It began to sway its head back and forth, with one eye covered by its own blood and the other trying to focus on Goldfang. Goldfang waited quietly. Suddenly the trike bellowed and came at Goldfang again, this time Goldfang jumped onto the Trike's frill and onto his back. Goldfang quickly clambered down its side and dug its claws, feet and fangs into the trike's belly. Goldfang leapt off and this time waited as the Trike began to slow down. It tried to make one last run at Goldfang but collapsed beneath its own weight. It bellowed and moaned in pain. Goldfang waited as the giant herbivore began to die. It was still able to do lethal harm to Goldfang with its one horn if the raptor dared venture too close. It wasn't long before the animal gave up and Goldfang had his well-deserved meal...

[Shadow]

RazorEdge woke to find Sharpclaw talking to Darkness. He got up and stretched then saw scarback on sentry duty. He thought "He's probably jsut trying to fit in with the pack, I must try to fit in as well." He walked closer to the entrance to see a little hatchling by Darkness as he talked to SharpClaw. He saw that scarback had scars on his back just as his name suggests.

Silver chirped and ran around RawClaw, excited to see him. She explained, "I asked Darkness to bring me here to see you." The female hatchling kept running around her friend out of sheer excitement.

Steeltalon let out a comforting murmur. "I'm sure Redtooth is fine," she told Switchblade, but in reality she was worried as well. "He'll be back soon...and if he's not I'll take you back to the caves." Where was Redtooth? She rose to her full height and let out a loud bark, listening for any reply.

[HorseGal]

RawClaw jumped in the air and let out little high pitched barks, then started to chase Silver. "That's great! You know I missed you! You're very fun!"

[Hopeflower]

Silver chirped happily and ran from RawClaw, unbelievably excited to see her friend again.

Steeltalon heard nothing in reply, and she was getting increasingly worried. Where in hell's name was Redtooth? She waited another minute before letting out a sigh. She couldn't just take Switchblade and go. She had to wait and see if Redtooth would come back.

[HorseGal]

RawClaw ran as fast as possible and playfully pounced on the other hatchling. "Ah ha!," he said with glee and tumbled off of her.

SharpClaw was amused by the hatchlings' antics. It was almost as if they were best friends...

Silver was knocked lightly to the ground by RawClaw's pounce. She chirped happily in protest and jumped to her feet, lightly ramming RawClaw with her shoulder.

Steeltalon had just about decided to stop waiting for Redtooth. She gave another loud bark, translated to "Redtooth, if you can hear me, Switchblade is at the underground caves!" The half-mutant knelt down to let Switchblade climb onto her back.

Darkness smiled as the hatchlings played. He was glad that this was a time of peace with Blade's pack. Every other time Darkness was here, his goal was to kill. Now it was to bring a hatchling over for a play-date. He shook his head, stunned. Darkness remembered Sandstorm and their "pranks" as they are sometimes called. It was nice to settle down and care for a family, but it was also nice to have someone to take risks with. He wondered when they would pull off another one. Defintely not to anyone that Steeltalon knows... Darkness thought to himself, not wanting to anger his mate again. I wonder why she doesn't want to come with us...I would expect her to like our pranks... he thought to himself. It was true, he thought she would love to go. But it seemed it was the opposite. I'll have to ask her. Darkness thought to himself. He turned his attention back to the hatchlings, but continued to think about different things...

RawClaw let out more chirps and ran around Silver. He ran three laps around the hatchling before tiring out and falling to the ground, now dizzy. He glanced up at his mother and Darkness, seeing that they were just watching them. He got up and ran over to them while barking to Silver. "Last one there's a rotten egg!" He leaped into the air and ran as fast as possible.

SharpClaw barked back and stepped out of the way. "Last one to the nest," she called back and glanced at Darkness. "When do you think you'll be heading back?"

Silver chirped and ran after RawClaw, overtaking him and slowing down a bit. She chirped and ran in a circle before stopping completely and turning to watch RawClaw.

[TyrannoTitan]

I think its best we go back now... Darkness growled, coming toward Silver. We have a long walk back... he growled, moving toward the cave entrance. Silver, say goodbye. You can come back soon... he barked, looking at Sharpclaw. ...If its ok with Rawclaw's parents. he growled, waiting for Silver.

[Hopeflower]

Silver sighed. "Alright.." she muttered. "Bye RawClaw. See you soon." She walked after Darkness, her shoulders sagging a bit.

[HorseGal]

SharpClaw nodded, "It's ok, as long as RawClaw behaves himself and doesn't go running off again."

RawClaw watched with a saddened look as his friend started to leave. "Bye Silver," he murmured. "See you soon, I hope" His mother picked him up and put him back in the nest.

Darkness nodded at Sharpclaw, and then at Silver. The two raptors left the cave and started their long walk back to Steeltalon's cave.

Soon, they arrived, Darkness almost immediatly laying down in the sun. He was still tired from the night before. Darkness layed his head on the ground, not sleeping, but resting. He watched Silver's every move, making sure she wouldn't leave the clearing...

Silver looked around for Steeltalon, but couldn't see her foster mother. The bushes rustled and Steeltalon appeared, carrying Switchblade on her back. Silver stiffened in surprise. "What's Switchblade doing here?" she asked, confused. Steeltalon let Switchblade get down and replied, "Redtooth apparently went fishing and didn't come back. I brought Switchblade here becuse it was too dangerous to leave her there." Silver blinked and went over to Switchblade.

[TyrannoTitan]

Darkness shifted, he had fallen asleep. No...Silver...you have to stay here... he growled sleepily, not even opening his eyes. Darkness kicked in his sleep, hitting a nearby tree. He groaned and lay still again. ...Switchblade... he repeated. ...Steeltalon... Darkness growled. ...Need to talk... he yawned, rolling onto his back before falling back to sleep.

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade saw that this wasn't working. Redtooth wasn't responding to Steeltalon either. When the raptor lowered herself to the ground, the Lili climbed carefully onto her back, making sure not to scratch too much. Where was the spinosaur? Why had he been gone so long? Switchblade began to fear the worst, and shivered before she could stop herself. I hope he didn't go into my old territory. It belongs to the Saurophagnax now. He could never fight them all off...

Steeltalon felt the hatchling shiver and lowered herself further to the ground, this time leaning slightly so Switchblade slid off. "We're here," she growled gently. "Did Redtooth say where he was fishing, Switchblade?" Silver ran over and tried to calm Switchblade down by saying, "I'm sure Redtooth's okay."

Sandstorm yawned from his postion in the branches. He had been dozing up there since he arrived back. He looked over his shoulder too see Darkness snoozing the ussal spot and to see steeltalon with the young lili he had seen a few days ago, Switchblade. He muttered under his breath "ah crap..." Last time he had met the hatchling it had jumped to the ground in fear. He barked to Steeltalon "The para is near the root cave, what happened?" Shadow leaf merely tossed in her sleep almost falling off her branch.
