Darkness coughed. I'm...fine... he snarled, not really mad, but not wanting to come out of hiding. Darkness rolled over on the rock and stared at Sandstorm. I'm not going to ask what I did. he growled. It isn't so bad... Darkness thought to himself. I guess I lightened the mood... he thought to himself, turning to look over the rock at the group...

Switchblade continued to smile, but suppressed any other giggling. She took another look at the raptor in the tree and her smile faded. He was the one who had scared her the most. He seemed aggressive by nature, but Switchblade couldn't tell if that was true or not. The Lili was jumpy and wary of those she didn't know, and thought she might also be slightly paranoid. She tore her eyes away from the raptor and stepped toward the para again, taking a bite then quickly lifting her head back up.

Sandstorm hissed "Oh well, if your sure your ok, but... next time you feel like asking that kindve question to steeltalon... wait till your not blabbering in your sleep." he snickered and then leapt back through the trees into his old one. Yawning he stretched out along the branch and rested his head on his wrists.

Steeltalon laid down, watching the two hatchlings interestedly. She'd never had any kids of her own, but now that she had settled down it was a nice thing to look forward to.

Darkness stared at the departing raptor, his eye twitching. I did what?! he growled extremely loudly, not caring about how loud his voice was. Darkness sluggishly got off the rock and walked over to a nearby tree. He started to bang his head off the tree, harder then the previous time.

Sandstorm heard the banging coming from darkness. He was begining to get really fustrated at the way he was acting. He barked "Darkness! Shut up! And go to sleep! then wake up in the morning and bash your head off something then!" He shook his head mutering.

Steeltalon heard a really loud thud and turned to stare at Darkness. He was banging his head off a tree. "Okay...and now, you've lost it," she barked, trying not to laugh. "Blabbering in your sleep and now banging your head off a tree...yup, you're crazy." Steeltalon lowered her head and snickered softly, her shoulders shaking gently. Silver heard Steeltalon and cracked up softly again.

Switchblade watched the black raptor walk over to a tree and bang his head against it over and over. "What is he doing?" She squeaked, with confused glances at Silver and Steeltalon. "Hurting himself on purpose?" She couldn't understand why a dinosaur would do that.

"He's crazy," Steeltalon said, still laughing softly. "You'll be seeing a lot of this, especially when he makes a fool of himself." She lowered her head again and kept laughing. Silver nearly fell to the ground laughing. She composed herself enough so chirp, "This is Steeltalon's sense of humor. You'll have to get used to stuff like this."

Sandstorm had an idea. He dug his claws into the bark of the tree and slowly climbed down untill he was on the lower branches. He grunted to steeltalon "Hey! Steeltalon! Do me a favor would ya? go up to Darkness and say something REALLY nice. Anything, that will stop him from slaming his head off stuff." He lay down on the branch and waited for to respond.

Steeltalon turned to Sandstorm and blinked. "Why don't you do that? You're awake enough, and I don't really feel like saying something nice. Besides, I'm having a great time right here." She turned to watch Darkness slam his head off the tree. "He's just embarrassed. It'll blow over soon enough." Silver settled down on Steeltalon's back to watch Darkness.

He looked at her and growled "Me? well you know its different seeing as your his mate and all." He turned back around and muttered "If it doesnt blow over soon he will end up blowing his own head off..."

"I honestly don't think it'll make a difference if someone drags him away from everything he can bang his head off or someone says something nice." She was seriously considering pinning him doown until the urge to smash his head into hard objects was gone. She turned to Silver and whispered in her ear. Silver smiled evilly and ran over to Darkness, jumping onto his side and staring him in the eyes. "Steeltalon says stop or she'll make you stop," she chirped so only Darkness would hear.

He grunted "your probley right... but in the time i have known him, he always seems to be in a good mood, or hitting his head off something. Is he ALWAYS like this...."

"Pretty much," Steeltalon growled light-heartedly. Silver was still on Darkness' flank, murmuring in low tones, "I'll make you stop if you don't."

"Okaaaaaay," said Switchblade, still thoroughly confused. She watched him bang his head while she ate. When she was full, she yawned and laid down where she was, still keeping her head up, watching the raptor in the tree. She still wasn't comfortable enough to fall asleep with him this close. Plus, the black raptor was making alot of noise. She yawned again and her eyes began to close, but she had to stay awake. He's Crazy? she thought. Can't sleep when a crazy raptor is around. Her head began to droop. "Can't sleep... crazy raptor." she mumbled. "Can't... sleep. Might... eat me... for dinner. Gotta stay awake... gotta," With that her eyes closed and her head lowered to the ground.

Darkness turned to Silver. A twisted half-smile came over his face. In a flash, Silver landed on the ground and Darkness disappeared. Unseen by all, Darkness was now in the saftey of the trees. He was high up, almost impossible to see. Darkness continued to bang his head off the tree. I'd like to see her get me now... he growled jokingly, continueing his banging.

Steeltalon saw Switchblade fall asleep and gently picked up the hatchling by the back. She put Switchblade in the root cave and put a think covering of dead leaves around her, to keep her warm. She crept silently out of the root cave and screened it with more ferns, trying to keep Switchblade safe. She heard the thuds continuing and scrambled up the tree Darkness was in, knocking him from the tree into a pile of dead leaves by the base. She stood in front of the tree and lowered her head. "Gotcha," she growled softly, smirking.

Sandstorm was getting really anneoyed with all this banging. He looked around desperate for something to talk about. He spotted the Lili on the ground and growlled "Oh I remember her.. her name is....Swapblade? no..... that isnt it. he started trying a few random names trying to remember what it was...

Darkness scrambled to his feet. He backed away from the female. The smile was back, a smile capable of freaking anyone out. As fast as before, Darkness was back into the trees. He jumped from tree to tree, thinking. The Cave? No...The Trees? No... he thought to himself as he continued jumping. Finally, Darkness was struck with an idea. He threw himself from his tree and plunged into the stream, almost unnoticed. Darkness held his breath the best he could.
