Darkness stared at his mate, surprised that they were so alike. He rubbed his head gently against hers, still staring blankly ahead. There are more important things then revenge... Darkness thought to himself. Maybe I should let go as well... he growled, still staring blankly.

[Hopeflower]

Steeltalon kept her head on Darkness' shoulder as she murmured, "The past can be painful, but some memories are worth keeping. Let go of all the painful memories, keep the good times closer to your heart, and look to a brighter future." She remembered Darkness telling her something similar as he comforted her about her father's death. Here she was, giving him pretty much the same advice.

Silver bared her teeth at the stranger. "Why are you following me?" she countered.

[Shadow]

"Because...I want your opinion" He hissed back showing his pure white chest and back.

[Hopeflower]

Silver kept her gaze level with the white raptor's. "On what?" she hissed.

[Shadow]

"If I will ever find a mate."He hissed, turning his head away. He did not like to be looking at someone when he said that.

[TyrannoTitan]

Darkness sighed, knowing this was the truth. He walked back to the nest and layed down, stilling staring blankly. Darkness looked into the nest and saw the hatchlings, glad that they were all happy and healthy. He sighed again and layed his head down on the ground.

"Probably if you find the right female," Silver growled quietly, standing to go. "Now I'm kind of in a hurry. On my way to see an old friend of mine."

Steeltalon laid down in a patch of sunlight and let her mind wander, needing time to think. Her thoughts strayed to Silver, and instantly she drew her breath in sharply. The sting of her foster daughter's departure still prodded at her.

[Shadow]

Blizzard sighed and walked away with his head down. "You can go now. I won't bother you anymore."

[Hopeflower]

"You'll find someone," Silver barked, smirking as she ran in the direction of Blade's cave. She was eager to see RawClaw again. She arrived at the entrance after about ten minutes and walked in. She glanced around, recognising RawClaw's mother. She looked at RawClaw and saw a very handsome young raptor. "Remember me?" she asked them both. RawClaw would probably be surprised--after all, where there was a playful hatchling once there was a pretty young female raptor.

Darkness made a low growl and rolled onto his side, thinking about how close he went to loosing it. If I didn't have Steeltalon...I would probably be dead... he growled, thinking about their past experiances. Darkness sighed, looking blankly at a nearby tree, still listening to the sounds the hatchlings were making, incase they needed food or other care.

Ruby was the quiet hatchling. Her soft red eyes always seemed to be following every movement, just like Steeltalon's. But when she was bored, she could chirp loudly. Which is what she did now, chirping loud enough to be heard on the other side of the game trail. Ruby scrambled up onto the side of the nest and continued chirping, until she saw her mother. The hatchling jumped down from the nest and ran over to the black and white female, jumping onto the black head crest of Steeltalon. Ruby chirped again, causing Steeltalon to twitch slightly. Ruby slid to the ground as Steeltalon started getting up.

"Well, how'd you get out of the nest?" Steeltalon murmured, crouching back down and nudging the hatchling gently. Ruby just chirped happily and ran around in a circle.

[HorseGal]

RawClaw's eyes widened at the sight of the female raptor standing before him now. "Silver? Is that...wow!" Silver wasn't the young playful hatchling he remember. Now stood a beautiful young female raptor. He barked in happiness at the sight. "You are...well, look at you!"

SharpClaw couldn't help but let a raptor grin slip. "It's very nice to see you, Silver." She walked away from the two young raptors to be with RawHide.

[Hopeflower]

Silver smiled. "Nice to see you again too, RawClaw." She stretched her head forward and rubbed her snout against his in an affectionate greeting. "How have things been since I was last here?"

Steeltalon playfully nudged Ruby again, knocking the hatchling to the ground with a happy chirp. Ruby jumped onto Steeltalon's back and purred, not quite getting the hang of growling.

RawClaw blinked in suprise at Silver's affectionate display, but slowly came to accept it. "Well...um, I guess good. No more running away for me," he joked. "The pack is starting to let me join in the hunt." He frowned slightly. "But our leader's been sick quite for some time. In fact, he's worse than he was before."

[Hopeflower]

Silver drew her breath in sharply. "Hope he gets better," she murmured, a sympathetic expression appearing on her face. She glanced around and added, "Hey, you want to go hunting sometime soon...just you and me?"

Shadow leaf looked over at Darkness slightly quizicle expression. Sandstorm hissed from above "Don't worry, you can talk to him tomorrow morning. Right now he is a bit worked up over something" She merely grunted and laid her head back down.

Meanwhile....
Softfoot was running through the trees happily, she jumped over logs under logs. She decided that she was going to stay at a place she had marked out a few days after Quicktooths death. A human building, it was mostly deserted and had lots of places for hiding or speedy exits. But the main reason she wanted to go back there was the lake next to it. It had the tastyist water she had ever drank in it. Each time after drinking she felt more refreshed more energetic. It was something she had to look foreward to. She had stoped there often during her wanderings and had taken a strong likeing to it. Other water was just boring.

He stared at her. "Hunting, just me and you," he repeated. "Yes, I suppose that would be great! After all, I haven't seen you in a while!" Then, he suddenly sprinted out of the cave and ran into the jungle while barking to Silver. "Try to get me!" The playful hatchling in him didn't leave yet.

[Hopeflower]

Silver smiled and bolted after her friend, catching up fairly quickly. "You haven't changed a bit, have you?" she teased, leaping over a fallen branch. The off-white female playfully nudged RawClaw with one shoulder and swerved away quickly, laughing as she did so. She hadn't felt this alive since when they were just hatchlings!

RawClaw hooted in laughter. "Nope, not really!" When Silver nudged him, he made a sharp turn and went chasing after Silver. It was just like old times, when they were hatchlings. Now, they were young adult raptors! Ready to hunt and possibly live on their own!

[The Kingpin]

9 raptors arrived at the entrance to an old cave. moisture dripped from it's cieling, dripping off the stalagtites that had grown there. "Well, nice and small, safe from larger predators, suitable for a nest, and it's away from any major predator hot spots. if you intend to re-establish a pack, i suggest you start it here" growled Fatalis. Midnight hissed "I'm not sure about the rest of you, but i have had enough of pack life. so many responsibilities, so many faces, so many chances of being betrayed, turned on, lied to. i think im going to live the life of a loner from now on". Fatalis hissed "Welcome to the Lone Wolves then, Father". Midnight nodded, happy that his son didn't blame him for what he had been tricked into believing. Echo hissed "Well, i enjoyed pack life for a while, but to be honest, i preffer the freedom of being alone much more". Fatalis grunted in amusement. Bloodclaw hissed "Well, i would go on my own, but i think i'd rather be with my family for a bit longer". Fatalis grinned toothily. BlackStorm looked at her mate, the two grunting, debating the idea, and finally hissed "We think a life alone would be better...until our eggs are to be laid". Fatalis nodded. "You can stay with me until then. i'll help you learn some "Extra" skills that you may not know, i'll help you get used to life alone. i'll stick around to help guard the eggs if you need me to". Blackstorm nodded gratefully, as did Hooktooth. Fatalis looked at Amber and Swift, and hissed "Thank you both for your help. i couldn't have done it without you". Swift and Amber hissed "Anytime, Fatalis. it was fun being with you while it lasted. learned a few things as well". Fatalis hissed "Well, you could come with me if you like...or go off and get back to your lives". Swift hissed "It was a pleasure being with you, but i think it is time we left. if you need us, just call". Fatalis nodded, and the two ran off, curiously running off together, rather than splitting up. apparently, they weren't just hunting food while they were together. Fatalis looked at his father "Do you want to stick with me? or would you rather go off on your own?". Midnight hissed "Well, you've been a Lone Wolf longer than i have. i expect you may know a few things that i dont, which could be handy". Fatalis nodded. Echo hissed "I'm off. BloodClaw's coming with me, and ShadowFang. i've picked up a few useful things from you, and i think we'll be ok alone. maybe we'll see you again, Fatalis". Fatalis nodded. "You definately will, Echo. you definately will". he then looked at his father, sister and his sister's mate, and hissed "First thing i need to do is visit a certain friend of mine. i have an apology to make to a certain misunderstood raptor living there. i accused him wrongly, and i need to go and try and apologize, otherwise who knows what'll happen if he comes across me with his surviving pack members". his family nodded, and the three left, Echo, BloodClaw and ShadowFang staying behind to rest for the day...
