In his excitment, Diablo ad forgoten to reply to the calls, so as he rushed through the jungle, he let out another roar. It's volume hopefully reaching the source. And then the further Diablo went, he heard footsteps. Diablo picked up speed encouraged by this, the steps were louder, louder, and then.

Diablo collided with another body, both falling across from eachother, Diablo being upside down looked back to see a female Carnotaur, who had aswell looked back to see him, he gave an embarresed smirk, as she returned a similar face. "Hi..." Diablo finally said.

Unexpectedly, a storm started blowing in. Steeltalon knew at once that the worst was coming. Just as she dived for the hatchlings and Switchblade, lightning struck the ground feet in front of her as rain started pouring down. In the dry bracken and leaf litter, fire started easily. "NO!" Steeltalon screeched, looking desperately around for a way to het to her hatchlings, but she could not get within two feet of the flames. Panicking, Steeltalon screeched again, her eyes clouding with more pain than ever imaginable. She cried out desperately as Raven leapt forward and started pushing her gently away from the flames. "Switchblade! SWITCHBLADE!" Steeltalon screamed, fearing for the lili's safety as well as her hatchling's.

Redtooth, who had been asleep, suddenly woke up at the screches. He jumped up and saw flames surrounding Steeltalon's nest. He immediately ran forward, trying to get through the flames easily.

Darkness swung around, seeing the flames. He screeched, unbareable rage overcoming him. Darkness ran forward, stopping a few feet away from the flames. He screeched again, trying to get through the flames, but couldn't get close enough. Darkness kept screeching, panicing, not knowing what to do.

Switchblade woke to a fierce arguement between Steeltalon and Raven. She quietly got up and moved out of the nest toward the river. She knew this was not her business and didn't want to get caught in a fight if one broke out. She arrived at the river and scooped up several mouthfuls of cool water. She swiveled her head around, staring at Raven. Her eyes instantly narrowed. She trusted Raven about as much as she did a saurophagnax. Each day her distrust grew. Each day she felt a growing feeling of what could only be hatred for him. This had never happened to her before. She had never hated anyone like this. But she had to keep control of herself. If she somehow got angry and tried to bite him, he would surely kill her on the spot. The Lili felt her lip curl, exposing the tips of her needle like teeth. Her normally amber eyes had a fiery glint to them. She snarled quietly and stalked into the forest to try some hunting.

Sandstorm was cought off garud by the sudden storm. He screeched in panic and shook Shadow leaf. She instantly got to her feet panicing aswell. The tow raptors looked around in confusion, everything happening so fast....

Switchblade was just about to run at a compy when she heard screaming coming from the nest site. A freak storm had blown in quicker than any she had ever seen. "What the...?" she ran in the direction of the nest. When she finally burst through the underdgowth, a nightmarish sight met her eyes. Her mouth dropped open. The entire nest was surrounded by flame, all except one small area. She could hear the panicked cries of the hatchlings trapped inside. "No, NO!" she screamed and bolted toward the flames. She headed streight for the small opening. Lowering her head, she plunged through the smoke and ash into the heart of the nest. Her skin searing, the Lili scooped up one hatchling, heaving him onto her back and hoping he didn't fall off. She then lept back through the narrow gap, coughing. She felt her strength leaving her, but pressed on, lowering the hatchling to the ground and stumbling back in for another...

The storm came, fast and unexpectedly, Catching Diablo and the female off guard. He quickly got up, Still looking at her, she had done the same. "This way!" both of them said at the same time, yet they were faceing the opisote direction. They both started saying words at the same time, but they jumbled up makeing what they said unidentifyable. They paused for a moment. Then finally said. "I'll go with you!" at the same time. Diablo quickly said something after. "Just come with me!" he said, a hint of fear in his eyes as he sa smoke. She nodded as both of them darted away, back towards his territory.

Nera Killer,Redclaw, and the others a fire had started. It was spreading. Killer and the others ran away as fast as they could. The storm had come so quickly.

Killer let out a screech. The pack got seperated. Killer,Redclaw,and Dawn were safe.Killer heard screeches from the pack. Some were burned alive, some brutally burned, and some with minor injuries.

Redclaw and Dawn were told to wait for some of the pack near the lake. 6 of the pack survived. Killer and the rest didn't get out alive....

orange sail had had noticed that a storm come over the island. the next thing he knew, the nanos were fleeing. he wondered why the nanos were running away when there was nothing nearby to attack them. he looked behind him and saw something that he hadn't expected. there was fire behind him and he saw it was approaching quickly. orange sail roared to razor edge:"we need to get away from the fire." orange sail quickly fled to the east from the flames and saw that razor edge was running along side him. orange sail didn't dare stop for even a brief rest, fearing he would the fire would kill him if he stopped running. the spinosaur could hear the panicked roars of many large herbivores as they tried to escape from the flames. orange sail spotted a lake that was large and it gave him an idea. he and razor edge could stay in the lake until the fire stopped. orange sail and razor edge entered the lake and didn't dare leave the water in the fear of the fire killing them. the two carnivores could still hear the roars of the large herbivores in the distance.

Switchblade stumbled into the nest once more, choking on smoke. With considerable effort, she hoisted one of the female hatchlings, Ruby onto her back. The Lili stepped through the gap in the flames, feeling the skin on her sides burning. The extra weight of the hatchling was draining her energy faster than she expected. She ran to where she had left the male hatchling and lowered Ruby down beside him. They seemed to be okay. Only minor burns. She quickly got to her feet and bolted back into the flames. Each time she crossed the gap in the flames, her sides were coated with another layer of black ash. Once again inside the ring of fire, Switchblade managed to get the next hatchling on her back, the other female. This time, getting out of the flames was harder. The space was closing up. If she didn't get the last raptor out soon, the wall of flame would engulf him. The Lili staggered to the other hatchlings, letting down the female. Now she could feel the effects of the smoke. She couldn't stop caughing and her eyes watered so badly that she was having trouble seeing. But she knew she was the only one who could save the trapped hatchling. She was the only one small enough to fit through the ever tightening gap. Not stopping for rest, she sped back into the inferno. She tried to hoist up the last hatchling, but collapsed from shear exhaustion and lack of oxygen. Barely staying contous, she managed to coax the small raptor onto her back. But when she tried to stand, it was no good. She was too weak to walk. But something inside her kept her going, pushing her along, telling her not to quit. She closed her eyes, gritted her teeth and made one last leap toward the opening, landing hard on the charred ground. No longer in the heaviest smoke, she began to breathe better. With enormous effort, she hefted the hatchling off the ground and, one step at a time, staggered to safety. Before she even let him off, the Lili collapsed into a heap, pain coursing through her body, flanks and head covered with ash. She had to stay awake... had to...

Redtooth saw Switchblade collapse and immediately went over to her and nudged her, hissing, "Come on, get up! Please, Switchblade, don't die!"

Switchblade stared up at Redtooth through watering eyes. She muttered "Redtooth - get the.... hatchlings." She laid her head down in the grass, resting her aching muscles. Her sides rose and fell as she took in shallow, ragged breaths, still caughing a bit. "Get them somewhere... safe," she requested, caughing again. She managed a glance at herself and was horrified to see her skin... completely black from the ash, some pieces of skin peeling off, some patches bare and bleeding. Shocked, she took in a sharp breath and let her head fall back to the ground. For now she would have to rest. Try to recover.. she hoped...

Redtooth growled, "They are safe. The fire isn't close enough to harm them. You saved them yourself." He turned to the raptors around him and hissed, "Help me with Switchblade and the hatchlings! I can't carry them myself!"

Hearing redtooth, Sandstorm shook himself out of the trance. He ran foreward and picked up a hatchling, Shadow leaf did the same and they brought them further away from the fire, still not convinced everything was real.

Darkness nodded, picking up two hatchlings and moving them to the their siblings, the poor creatures too frightened to move. Darkness crouched by them defensively, not wanting anymore harm to come to them. He couldn't see Steeltalon now, the horrid thoughts of what happened plagueing his mind. Darkness shook his head, still crouched by the hatchlings.

Switchblade watched vaugely as the hatchlings were carried away. Satisfied that she had done her job, she closed her eyes, drifting into semicontiousness. Her breathing slowed and she began to calm. Half in and half out of reality, she thought she could see familiar faces approaching. She started to see a bright white light coming closer to her. In it she could see familiar faces. Her mother, father, sister and brothers came from within the light. Switchblade, said a voice in her head. It's good to see you again. It was her father speaking. She felt like running to him, leaving her burnt, bloody body behind, but her father lifted a hand. You aren't ready to come with us yet. You must stay here. He and the family started to fade and the light dimmed. Switchblade came back into consiousness with a jolt. Her eyes snapped open and she looked around, her vision still blurred, wondering what had just happened...

Diablo and the female carnotaur arived at his territory, he showed her to the rock, as they both climbed ontop of it for cover. They both looked out, but Diablo wasn't watching the rain, he looked at her, and when she noticed him she looked back. And the bothe smiled. But they forgot introductions, witch for Diablo was crucial, but he'd wait until both of them were calm, mabye till the rain stopped.

Redtooth had moved Switchblade near the edge of the river (but not too close), and when he saw her wake up, he hissed, "Switchblade! You're alright!"

Switchblade stared at Redtooth, thinking for a moment that his voice was her father's. "Where are they? I know I just saw them. My whole family was there... in the light. Didn't you see it?" she chirped weakly, her voice grainy because of inhailing smoke.
