Darkness looked over at Steeltalon, wanting desperately to talk to her, but didn't know if it was the best thing to do. He sighed heavily, finally rising from the ground, walking slowly over to his mate, laying down a few feet away. Steeltalon... Darkness growled in greeting, nodding to her.

Shadow leaf grunted loudly and stood up, stretching her legs. She was bored. She growled "I'm going for a quick walk, I'll be back soon." She didn't wiat for a response and walked out of the clearing, into the thick jungle. Not going in any particular direction, just wandering. Prehaps she would do a quick patrol of the border.

Raven decided to aproach Steeltalon with an inquiry. He jumped from the branch and cautiously walked toward the half-mutant. She looked up at him as he drew nearer and he saw sorrow and indecision in her young face, before her expression went as blank as it had ever been.. "Uh....hi, Steeltalon," he growled, lowering his head submissively.

"Raven," she hissed, her tone cold to hide what was going through her mind. She stood as she studied Raven's face carefully.

"I just wondered if...if it was alright for me to eat something," the dark gray male growled, choosing his words with care.

Steeltalon regarded him with a stare as icy as her tone, before she relaxed slightly and nodded curtly. "I will be keeping an eye on you," she growled as Raven settled down to eat. She glanced at Darkness and nodded, regarding him curiously.

the young Allosaur stumbled upon a dead gallimimus, and was about to eat from it, until 3 larger predators showed up, walking up to it. he stopped, his eyes wide in fear at the sight of the predators. he backed away into the foliage, and began to follow another scent. it was a mix of fish adn something else...

the scent of the Carcharodontosaur was getting stronger. and it was leading towards Steeltalon's cave. Crusher upped the pace, quakes coming with each step he made...

Darkness thought for a moment, collecting his words. I'm sorry, Steeltalon...I'm sorry that I didn't tell you where I was going... he growled, looking at the ground, glancing back up at Steeltalon.

Steeltalon studied Darkness' expression so intently that it was a wonder he didn't burst into flames like dry bracken. "You do realize that no one knew where you were?" she asked quietly, her voice soft. Her wounds had begun to heal, though not by much. "And no one dared go looking for you, in fear of losing the hatchlings or getting killed themselves?" She kept calm as her gaze slid past him to the hatchlings, who were resting close to him. She would've gone on, but distant quakes made her freeze. They were too far away to be much of a threat now, but if they got much closer, they'd all have to take shelter in the caves.

Shadow leaf was lying down on a fallen tree. The sun shone through the space cleared by the fallen tree. She could hear a soft thumping but didnt have any idea what it was, nor did she really care much. She rolled slightly on the log, trying to get a better look at some small dinosaur that had scampered away. But when she did she was hit by a charca's scent.... and a rexe's one... She froze with fear as she listened to the thumps, their was two sets of thumps, one stronger than the other. Crushers roars they had heard earlier jumped to her mind, she forgot about everything Darkness had said and leapt off the log sprinting back the way she came. The rex had to be Crusher. The only other rex around was Greeneye but he was dead.

I've been a loner for most of my life...I can handle myself...No need to worry... Darkness growled, his tone, soft and ashamed. He heard the quakes, glancing in the direction they were coming from, not giving it much thought.

the scent of the Carcha was getting stronger, and it was definately heading towards Steeltalon's cave. he could now also hear it's stomping, meaning he was catching up. a loud snarl came from him as he pushed himself as fast as he could in this thick jungle...

a snarl came from the large brown predator. it had been moving into Crusher's territory several times in the last few weeks, feeding off the Rex's plentiful food sources. but now he had been caught, and was being chased by the behemoth. and he was gaining....fast...

Steeltalon gave a startled hiss as the heavy footfalls - two sets, she guessed - came closer with increasing speed. She glanced in the direction of the sound, ready to bolt from the clearing and - she gritted her teeth and told herself to do it - lead the others to her old family's home. "If it comes to it," she growled to Darkness, "grab the hatchlings and follow me."

Raven paused in his feeding to look up, his green eyes flashing the same alarm that Steeltalon felt. He stood warily, unsure if this was a good or bad thing.

Shadow leaf ran through the trees as fast as she could. she burst out of the trees and almost skidded as she stopped. Sandstorm climbed onto the bank, shaking himself dry looking confused at Shadow leaf. She barked, inbewteen breaths "Scent... Charca, Rex... Close by..." Sandstorm froze, instantly thinking of Crusher. The quakes were louder now... Getting closer... He glanced over at Steeltalon and darkness, unsure about what to do..

the Carcha slammed into the clearing, a frightened roar comnig from it as it ran. Crusher slammed in right behind it, his jaws locking shut on it's tail and dragging it down, before jerking it back and pinning it to the ground. he put a foot on it's side and snarled "Enter my territory? steal my food?! i think NOT!". he then bit onto the frightened Carcha's arm and ripped it out of it's socket, his concentration on preventing the Carcha from harming the others who were now watching the scene...

Steeltalon hissed in surprise, afraid. She barked for the others to follow and picked up two of the hatchlings, bolting in the direction of her old territory. She didn't want to return, but there was no other choice.

Raven, frightened and not sure of what was happening, ran after Steeltalon, knowing she'd lead them somewhere safe.

Sandstorm and Shadow leaf looked at each other for a seocond and then sprinted forewards, picking up a hatchling each and then following Steeltalon. Sandstorm pressed foreward quickly catching up to Steeltalon, he barked "Steeltalon! are we going anywhere particular or just runnning randomly?" He wanted to make sure that if they were split up, taht he would have some idea of where they were going...

Steeltalon glanced at Sandstorm and gently slid the hatchling in her jaws to the crook of her back and neck. She barked, "We're going to my old home. It's not as big, but the cave there is much safer." She continued running, making sure that the hatchling on her back didn't fall. "When we stop, make sure you rest up, because it's a three-day run."

Raven was bounding from branch to branch in the trees above Sandstorm and Shadowleaf, focused on following Steeltalon. He had no idea where they were going, he just knew that they had to get there alive.

Redtooth lifted Switchblade, sliding into the river with the Lili, heading downstream, away from the fight...

Darkness looked around, not knowing what was going on. He shrugged, knowing that the fleeing raptors would be hiding somewhere a short distance away. Darkness walked toward Crusher and the Carchar, watching intently, smirking, another fight to watch.

Sandstorm nodded and slowed down slightly. He told Shadow leaf where they were going and then transfered the hatchling from his claws back to his jaws, it was easier to carry them that way. Shadow leaf nodded slightly and they pressed on. Sandstorm was thinking to himself, three days! He geussed that they werent going to be coming back here. But he knew it was for the best not to return, if they did something would go wrong.... It always did..

Crusher snarled "only pathetic, idiotic fools attempt to make use of others' property. and they all have similar fates. DEATH!". he grabbed the Carcha by the neck. it was about Carnotaur size, and was rather light, making him easy to lift. he heaved it up, lifting it off of the ground, and swung it, it's body flying through the air for a few feet and slamming into the wall of the cave, making a few boulders fall off of the top of it, one crushing the Carcha's tail. Crusher bit down onto it's leg and pulled back hard, shredding the flesh there but succeding in pulling it back to him. Crusher snarled "Death finds those who go too far". he lowered his head over the Carcha's and swung down, his massive head crushing it's skull. a booming victory roar echoed through the trees and Crusher took a bite from it's leg muscle, and swallowed it whole...

Very nice, Crusher! But did you have to do it infront of everyone? Darkness growled, smirking at the Tyrannosaur. He hopped onto the Carchar's head, looking down at it. The Giga was more entertaining... he growled, not looking up. Darkness looked up and smirked again, taking a bite from the corpse.

Steeltalon had shifted the hatchling on her back to her jaws again and had put on a burst of speed, knowing that the first safe resting spot was just a mile ahead. She was nervous about what the others would see when they arrived at their final destination, but it was the only other place she felt safe.

Raven kept pace with the others, falling slightly behind so he did not appear arrogant. He watched Steeltalon carefully, following her and wondering where they were going. She seemed to know this path well--had she followed it before?
