Raven nodded gratefully and curled up where he was, almost instantly falling victim to the comforting darkness of sleep. He was exhausted and confused as to why Steeltalon hadn't felt safe in her own territory.

Silver was proudly watching the eggs as one cracked open. She watched the other expectantly, but was dissapointed. It never hatched, not even several hours after the first hatchling had broken out of its egg and taken its first breath. Silver sighed sorrowfully and gently picked up the unhatched egg, carrying it off to be buried.

Darkness heard something behind him, swinging around to see the Allosaur following him. He groaned, ignoring the small predator, continueing on. Darkness's pace was slower, exhaustion finally taking its toll. It was midnight now, Darkness finally finding a spot to rest. He curled up beneath a tree, not finding the need to search for cover. Darkness sighed, staring blankly at the ground, not able to fall asleep.

After burying the unhatched egg, Silver returned to the nest with a dead lizard in her jaws. She dropped it into the nest beside her newborn hatchling and nuzzled Rawclaw, a small glimmer of sadness in her dark blue eyes. They had lost one egg, but they were still parents, and they were now bound to protecting their only hatchling; a young, off-white tiger-striped female with yellow eyes.

RawClaw stared down at the hatchling in disbelief and love. He couldn't believe that he was a father! He was a little sad that the other one never made it, but at least they were parents. He touched Silver's snout and glanced back over to the buried egg with sadness visible in his own eyes. "She's beautiful," he purred softly as he then gazed down at their daughter. "She has your coloring."

the young Allosaur just stayed where he was, behind a bush, staring at the Raptor. he knew it would be able to see him, but right now, he was still not in immediate striking distance. he just stood there staring at it...

Silver let her head rest against Rawclaw's shoulder, purring softly. She gave a murmur of agreement and closed her eyes. "She's our daughter," she purred quietly. She rested against her mate, about ready to fall asleep.

Switchblade, now in unfamiliar surroundings, had trouble falling asleep. She rolled onto her side, staring into the sky. It was a very dark night. Thick clouds covered most of the stars, and the thin cresent moon wasn't casting much light. She felt nervous about being here. It seemed too open, too exposed. She felt vulnerable. The Lili restlessly turned over again, curling up tightly to keep the cool breeze out, and tried to get some sleep.

Darkness tensed, seeing the Allosaur again. He got up, snarling. Darkness ran forward, screeching at the Allosaur, standing his ground to see its reaction...

Darkness smirked, swinging around, walking to the other side of the tree, curling up again. Exhaustion finally taking over, the black raptor finally drifted into sleep, ignoring the presence of the Allosaur.

the Allosaur lay down once he had made sure it wouldn't attack again, making sure it was in veiwing distance, and resting, not daring to go into a full sleep....

Sandstorm kept watch untill he couldnt stay awake any longer. Yawning he staggered over to Shadow leaf and woke her up. Too tired to say anything he just curled up falling asleep almost immeidiaterly. Shadow leaf walked out and laid down on in the grass.

In the morning, when the sun rose she walked towards the others and gave few a soft barks waking them up. Steeltalon had said she wanted an early start the night before...

Steeltalon woke, greeted as usual by glaring sunlight, and roughly shook herself as she stood. Raven looked half-asleep, half-awake; he nodded to her in respectful greeting before his jaws split into a wide yawn. He looked as though he was about to complain about having to get up, then seemed to remember why he was being woken so early and bit back what he wanted to say.

Raven sighed as he stood and jumped from the ledge to right in front of the cave mouth. He gently nudged the hatchlings awake and walked over to the small pool of water, lapping at the cold liquid.

Sandstorm got to his feet, stagering and shook himself, trying to wake himself up. He started walking around outside the entrance stretching his muscles, stopping for a quick drink. Shadow leaf sat up on a rock and waited paitently for the others to get up...

Darkness woke up slowly, stretching. He rose to his feet, finding the scent trail from the night before. It was almost gone, causing Darkness to snarl in frustration. He bolted along the trail, wishing to meet up with the group soon...

Blade jerked up when he heard a snarl, and looked around. the Raptor had started running. he leapt to his feet and ran as fast as he could, keeping up with the Raptor, but only barely...

Steeltalon froze, realizing something was wrong. "Did any of you see Darkness leave the clearing and follow us?" she asked, concern entering her tone.

Raven shook his head slightly, his gaze on a fairly large compy that was a few feet from their temporary home. "Haven't seen him since yesterday," he growled quietly, pouncing and killing the compy instantly. He dragged it over to Sandstorm, Shadowleaf and the hatchlings, knowing that they would need to be fed first.
