"Watch the hatchlings for me," Steeltalon murmured, bowing her head to Sandstorm. "I'll be done shortly." She made her way into the clearing And aproached one of the five skeletons, the smalles of them, and sighed sorrowfully. "Tigerstripe, Tigerstripe," she growled quietly, picking up the skeleton by the back of the neck and dragged it out of the clearing, placing it beside her family's favorite stream. She went back to the clearing and repeated the process four more times, gently nuzzling her mother, father and brother's skulls when she was done. "I'm sorry," she murmured, backing away from her family's final resting place respectfully. She returned to the clearing and barked an all-clear.

Though Switchblade was sure the spinosaur had taken it's last breath, she lingered in the log for a short time after the hatchlings had left. When she finally worked up the nerve, she sprinted out, squeaking slightly as she tried to get past the spino as quickly as possible. The Lili stumbled after the others, dropping to the ground when she caught up, her burnt legs aching from the effort. When most of the pain had passed, she looked around at her new surroundings. The situation felt strangely familiar. Steeltalon, like Switchblade, had also lost her entire family, though the Lili wasn't sure how and wasn't about to ask. She knew from her own experience how painful it could be to recall and talk about these horrific events. When enough strength had come back to her legs, Switchblade began to walk slowly around, surveying the area.

Sandstorm nodded solemly acknowledgeing her. When she barked the clear they walked foreward slowly, marveling at the clearing. Shadow leaf looked around and barked "Thanks for bringing us here Steeltalon, we really appreciate it. Is there much prey around here?" Sandstorm walked over to the stream, taking a quick drink, still wondering where Darkness was and what happened to him....

Steeltalon glanced around and replied, "There should be...though I don't know, the last time I was here, the place was a desert." She looked at Switchblade and murmured, "I lost my family when I was just a hatchling, not unlike you did. But Riptide's pack killed them..." She sighed and added, "Someday soon, I'll tell you the whole story."

Raven glanced around and nodded appreciatively. "I can never apologize enough for what my father did," he growled. "It's awful that you had to lose your family so young." He bowed his head in deepest respect.

RazorEdge slept through the night peacefully. When he woke he hissed in annoyance. "D*mn!" He rose and felt he was thirsty, he ran over to the lake and drank the water with joy in his eyes. When he finished he growled to Orange Sail "Did anything happen while I was asleep?"

Sandstorm got up from the stream and walked around, looking at the trees. Soon he found with a patch of ferns just below a largish branch sticking out of the trunk. He leapt upwards digging into the bark with his claws and pulling himself up on to it. He rested along the length of the branch. Shadow leaf stepped away from the conversation and lay down in the ferns under him, slightly overwhelemed by the new landscape

Blade made a playful snarl as he ran at full speed, passing Darkness before slowing down, keeping at Darkness' speed once they were side by side...

Fatalis watched as SoftFoot left the cave. the youngsters were chirping, hungry, and their parents were waking up. Fatalis decided he'd catch a Compy for the kids, wound it, let them practice while he went to help SoftFoot with a few tricks. it was going to be a long day, but he was in the mood for a bit of movement...

Darkness walked along the trail, the scent suddenly not as strong. He cursed to himself, still keeping a steady pace. Without warning, Darkness stopped, looking straight ahead. He barred his teeth at the space infront of him, suddenly swinging his head to look at Blade. Blade, do not come any closer! Find cover! Darkness barked, swinging back around to look at the jungle before him. Hiding someone such as yourself isn't an easy job....Gigus... he snarled, a massive form stepping out from the jungle. I guess the element of surprise is not with me this time... Gigus growled, stepping infront of Darkness. No matter, something as simple as that won't save you...

Gigus bellowed, charging Darkness. The black raptor leaped at a tree, clinging onto it as Gigus charged past, pushing off the tree and latching onto the Carchar's side. Darkness clawed at the creature's flesh, leaving more wounds. He jumped off, sliding to a hault, eyeing the Carchar. Gigus kicked at Darkness, the black raptor having to dodge to the side, the toe claw of the beast slashing his flank, leaving a bleeding wound. Darkness cringed, but remained standing. Gigus swung around and tryed to hit the raptor with his skull, Darkness jumping into a tree, kicking off a branch and latching on the Carchar's neck. Darkness slashed and bit at the beast's skin, hoping to cause it enough damage to make Gigus flee. Gigus prepared to slam his side off a nearby tree, hoping to knock Darkness off with the force of the slam.

Darkness was thrown from the beast's neck as it's side connected with the tree, Darkness rolling across the ground, finally sliding to a hault. He rose from the ground to see the disappearing figure of Gigus, confused at his departure. Darkness looked toward Blade, gesturing for them to continue. They needed to leave before the beast decided to show itself again...

Blade had only just landed in a bush a few feet away when the Carcha that they had come across once before walked out of the trees and fought with Darkness again. the two battled it out viciously for a few minutes, before the Carcha landed a blow that seemed to give it the upper hand, making Darkness tumble into a tree. but then, it, surprisingly, disappeared. Blade focused on the form properly, and only came out after he was sure the Carcha wouldn't come back. he leapt out of the bushes, walked up to Darkness, and then started to follow him...

Fatalis decided he'd get a drink before he went on his little hunt, so he went to the stream. he started to lap up the cool, clear liquid, his thirst surprising him as he took in mouthful after mouthful of water...

Steeltalon arched her back in a lazy stretch, several stiff joints cracking loudly. She looked around for Darkness, and her hopes plummited when she remembered he was not there. She sighed and slid into the cave, noticing how much sturdier it seemed compared to the underground caves. She scraped at the sandy ground beneath her feet, eventually feeling the need to go outside and look around. The trees, brambles, and other thick undergrowth meant that this place was more protected than in the old clearing. She decided that, not it was a jungle, her old home was much better than the other one she'd been living in for months.

Raven found out that the cave led far back into a large cliff, on top of which grass grew thick and there were few other plants, aside from a large fern. He soon found that by climbing a tree, he could reach the top of the cliff, from which he had a good view of the clearing.

Softfoot was still sitting by the stream when she saw Fatalis go over to take a drink. She gave an amused growl when he didnt see her and she barked "I see your finally awake." She made the bark louder than ususal hopeing to startle him.

Darkness limped on, the wound on his flank stunting his ability to walk. But he couldn't stop, not with Gigus lurking around. Darkness sighed, seeing that it was now mid-day. He looked around the surronding area, ignoring his growing hunger. Darkness sighed again, limping as fast as could, still following the scent trail.

Steeltalon sighed, laying down and turning over different things in her mind. It's been five years since I was last here... she thought, looking around. Who would've thought this place could change so much since then? Well, at least we're safer than we were. She shifted slightly, glancing at Switchblade from her position. If I told her about what happened, would she understand?

Fatalis looked up, jumping a bit at the loud bark. he hissed "Didn't you see me stretching my leg when i woke up? i was up before you were"...

Blade growled "Darkness, need help?". Darkness' limp was slowing them down, and he was sure they'd be faster if Darkness had help...

No, No, its fine...See? I feel better already... Darkness growled, moving noticibly faster, ignoring the pain in his flank. Darkness continued on, the day slowly heading toward night. He couldn't stop for the night, he needed to continue through it, the scent trail still slightly disappearing. Darkness looked up at the sky, seeing it was still light, but not for long...

Steeltalon lifted her head and gave a single loud bark, echoing for a mile or so in every direction. If Darkness was anywhere near, he'd hear her and hopefully reply. Steeltalon held still while she waited, though she didn't expect an answer.

Raven froze as well, though he was waiting for the sounds of something larger coming through the undergrowth.

Blade nodded, and sped up to keep up with Darkness' speed. he was still limping, but moving faster. still, if they reached his friends, they'd be safer. so the sooner the better...

Fatalis growled "Perhaps. i could've sworn i woke up first. no matter though. either way, we're both up now. im planning to get something for the youngsters to learn how to hunt with. after that, if you're free, I could give you a few of the practical pointers that could be handy in the near future". he continued to lap up water as he waited for SoftFoot's response...

Softfoot nodded slowly and barked "uhh Thanks, but, are really sure they are old enough? I mean they look like they are barely a few weeks old."

Sandstorm lifted his head hopeing to hear a response aswell. Shadow leaf remained still on the ground....

Fatalis grinned. "Perhaps, but i'll make sure the Compy i give them is wounded to the point it wont dare attack them. a broken leg, broken forelegs and a head wounded to the point it's afraid to open it's jaws. if it becomes too agressive, we'll kill it". he cocked his head, to see what SoftFoot thought. he wanted to get the youngsters used to hunting live food, but he also didn't want to hurt them...
