Streamflower laughed. "I suppose so," she meowed, padding towards the medicine cat den's entrance, only to be faced with a wall of snow up to her muzzle. "What the...Must've been a blizzard, Shadowstar and I cleared out the den entrances..."

Streamflower laughed and placed one paw on top of the snow. Hard as rock. "Must be ice," she meowed. "And the fresh-kill pile must be buried." She sighed and shook her head. "Dunno what we'll do for the rest of leaf-vare."

Streamflower smiled. "Shadowstar!" she called, seeing her leader pacing in front of her den. The leader's ears pricked as she turned to stare at them. "We're going fox hunting," Streamflower mewed. "Care to come with us?" Shadowstar meowed, "Well it beats sitting around in the snow all day. Why not?" She padded over to the two warriors and followed them out into the forest.

Streamflower chuckled while Shadowstar let out a purr of amusement. The Clan leader scented the air, her ears pricking warily. "There was a fox here," she meowed. "Not too long ago." Streamflower flattened her ears and lowered her tail, starting to follow the foxes scent.

Spottednose's ears pricked as he sniffed the ground. He was a pretty much mediocre hunter, but could at least find the general direction of prey. He mewed, "I think it went that way." He pointed with his good paw.

Shadowstar nodded, watching as Streamflower bounded silently along the trail. Suddenly the white she-cat let out a yowl and Shadowstar bolted forward, her fur bristling.
Streamflower was locked in combat with a mother fox. The cubs watched fearfully as the two duked it out. and the fox was already bleeding from her shoulder and muzzle.

Spottednose bounded forward instantly and slammed the fox in the side, knocking her away and giving the others a chance to land some more blows.

Streamflower slashed the vixen's muzzle again, the fox yelping as Shadowstar pounced on her back, digging all four sets of claws in and holding on tightly.
Violet emerged from the mountains and breathed a sigh of relief. Soon newleaf would come, and the snow would melt. and then Violet would start looking for a new home once more.

Spottednose bit down on the fox's front leg. He snarled through his teeth, "How do you like it, dog?!" He was imagining that the fox was the dog that had attacked him to make it easier to attack it, but it was starting to go a little too far...
