Streamflower nodded, laughing softly when she saw the kits riding Spottednose. "Someone's popular with the kits," she teased, eyes sparkling with laughter.

Spottednose meowed, "Okay, kits, go get your mom!" The kits cheered and jumped off of Spottednose, bouncing toward Streamflower.

Streamflower grunted as the kits bowled her over and batted at them with gentle paws. "Enemy warriors!" she mewed, rolling over. She was careful not to squish the kits as she laid on her back and meowed in mock-terror.

Streamflower went limp, her tongue poking out of her slightly opened jaws. Play dead, she thought in amusement, making her tail twitch feebly before that went limp too.

The kits stopped and stared at Streamflower curiously. Snowkit jumped down and poked at her mother's tail with her paw. Spottednose smirked in amusement.

Snowkit jumped back, But qucikly bounded forward, leaping on Streamflower's stomach. the four kits bounced around on her, trying to wake her up.
