Firestreak blinked. He was to be Deputy?! At the responces of the other clan cats, Firestreak cringed and shrunk back from the assembled crowd, slightly disheartened at the clan's protest. He knew that if StarClan wanted him to be deputy, he would gladly accept and return to life in a Clan. But the question still remained: Why him? Firestreak watched SpottedStar uneasily, not knowing really what to do, feeling uneasy as the other clan cats watched him...

...I..accept...of course... Firestreak mewed, bowing his head slightly to SpottedStar. The gray tom's mind was still clouded with thoughts, but he would just have to get used to Clan life. He had endured it before, he could do it again. Firestreak finally looked back up at SpottedStar, nodding again, thinking of his new role as deputy...

Stormtail bounded up beside Spottedstar and whispered, "It is time to name a new deputy. With the approval of my warrior ancestors, I name Firestreak deputy of ThunderClan." These were the proper words to use.

Warm welcoms came from the cats who knew Firestreak. The few that didn't were a little mor hesitant, but eventually accepted the fact that they were now following the orders of a former loner.

Firestreak nodded to the clan, smiling faintly. He knew it must be odd having a former loner as a deputy, but he expected some of the cats to act cold toward him. Firestreak looked at SpottedStar, bowing his head in respect to the ThunderClan leader.

Hawksight's ears twitched as her eyes opened, seeing the sun rising. "...mouse dung," she cursed, scrambling to her paws. She gave herself a hasty wash, glancing around for danger.
