Firestreak snarled, standing, ready to fight off whatever had attacked them. He glanced around, unable to see the attacker. Firestreak turned his attention to the she-cat, eyeing her wound. We need to get you to the camp... he mewed, stepping forward. Firestreak gestured for them to head in the direction of the camp, not sure if the black she-cat could walk back without help....

Bloodspill got to her paws shakily, starting to limp back to the camp. She flinched with every step she took on her wounded leg, but at least she could walk without too much trouble.
Hawksight mewed and lightly hit Snowclaw's muzzle with a paw,rubbing her head against the ground to scratch an itch.

Smelling blood, Stormtail came out of his den and yelped in shock. A black she-cat standing beside Firestreak had a badly wounded shoulder. Clawmarks stretched down her left flank, but the fur on her shoulder had been torn away to reveal a pool of blood that ran down her leg like a small river. "What happened?" Stormtail asked. "Dunno," Bloodspill muttered, gritting her teeth to stop herself from crying out.

Something attacked us... Firestreak mewed, turning to Stormtail. I couldn't see what it was...It was too fast... he meowed, shaking his head, still greatful that the she-cat had pushed him out of the way. The idea of the she-cat recieving wounds that were meant for him made him sigh in disgust, slightly wishing it was he who was attacked. Firestreak turned his attention back to the black she-cat, his gaze still scanning over her wounds...

Stormtail made Bloodspill lie down while he treated her wounds. Once he was done, he meowed, "Where were you attacked?" Bloodspill just laid her head down and started to nod off, her wounds swathed in cobwebs and a marigold poultice.

Stormtail sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws. "I see," he meowed quietly. "Can you show me where this she-cat was injured." Bloodspill grunted, "The name's Bloodspill." She curled up more comfortably and finally fell into a uneasy sleep.

Firestreak glanced at the she-cat, now finally knowing her name. Sure. he mewed to Stormtail, turning toward the camp entrance. Firestreak glanced at Bloodspill a final time, waiting for Stormtail, the trail ahead marked with blood, making it easy to follow...

Stormtail followed Firestreak, the stench of blood making him slightly nausiated. He sniffted at a frond of bracken, recognising Bloodspill's scent.

Firestreak continued on, finally arriving back at the site of the attack, the smell of blood strongest here. He glanced behind him making sure Stormtail had followed. He gestured to the large amount of blood on the grass, backing up slightly, not sure if the creature that had attacked them would strike again...

Stormtail sniffed around and meowed, "It's like dog, but different. Not fox, not wolf...not badger." He studied the blood spatters and decided that this didn't seem like a fox's style. This had been a deliberate attack. But by what?

Firestreak shrugged, not sure what had attacked them, or why. He continued to walk around the surronding area, trying to find anything that could tell them what the creature was. Firestreak sighed, unable to find what he was looking for, returning to Stormtail, hoping he had better luck...

Something caught Stormtail's eye--some black fur snagged on a bramble tendril. He sniffed it and was nearly overwhelmed by a pungent, unfamiliar scent. "Over here," he meowed, gesturing to it with a twitch of his whiskers. "What does that belong to?"

"We'll have to report this to Spottedstar," Stormtail meowed, fastening his jaws around the bramble tendril and jerking it, taking the thorny branch from the bush and starting to carry it back to the camp.

Firestreak nodded, padding off after Stormtail, still in deep thought about the attack. Hopefully it-whatever it is-will be caught... he thought to himself, hoping no other cats would be injured. Firestreak continued on behind Stormtail, actually wanting to hurry back to the camp, not feeling safe in the forest since the attack...

Bloodspill found herself in a moonlit clearing. Starlight sparkled along the ridges of the dip in the ground like frost, while the stars blazed overhead. The black she-cat was sitting opposite an almost identical cat, with only a few key differences. The other she-cat was slightly taller, had more powerful shoulders, and her eyes were ice blue. Aside from that, the two were identical in every way. "So...what's about to happen?" Bloodspill meowed, staring hard at the cat in front of her. "I don't know," the older she-cat replied. "Something far worse than anything before." Bloodspill's eyes narrowed. "And who are you, exactly?" The other cat chuckled. "Lithium. Be sure I'm with you." With that, Lithium vanished, leaving Bloodspill alone.
Stormtail pushed his way into the camp, dropped the branch and called, "Spottedstar!"
