Smokepaw thought for a moment, then whispered spomething in Sparrowpaw's ear. The white and brown tom brightened, before the two cats jumped around Bloodspill, chanting, "You like Firestreak! You like Firestreak! You like Firestreak! You like Firestreak! You like Firestreak!"

Bloodspill's ears picked in surprise. "He's a good friend," she meowed. "Nothing more." She continued to wash her ears, still a bit surprised.

Bloodspill paused and meowed, "I can't deny he's a good friend. But I don't feel anything else for him." Snowpaw purred, "Aww, come on, admit it. You're just trying to make Claw jealous!" Bloodspill's eyes widened and her mouth fell open slightly. She found herself unable to speak for a few heartbeats. She mewed, her voice shaking, "Claw's just a stupid furball. If he wants to be mad at me, let him be mad. I'm not about to stop him."
