"Well it's over now," Snowpaw mewed, rubbing her nose with a paw and sitting on her mother's back defiantly.
A yowl of agony from the nursery shattered the peace. The two sisters flinched and darted off to their den, suddenly scared of being outside. Stormtail was jolted awake, and had to waste a few precious seconds gathering his herbs and darting to the nursery.

Streamflower gave Spottedstar an anxious look. "That was hawksight," she mewed, sounding as scared as she felt. great StarClan! Would they really lose another cat this way?

Hawksight let out another agonized yowl as Stormtail burst into the nursery, rapidly chewing up some herbs and spitting out the juices to make a poultice. "Calm down," the medicine cat ordered. Hawksight grunted, then wailed again. Stormtail lunged forward and picked up the first kit, a mirror image of its mother. Hawksight cried out yet again, and Stormtail placed a second kit beside Snowclaw's paws. "Lick," he ordered, starting to lick the first kit clean.

"I think there were only two kits," Stormtail meowed, breahting a sigh of relief as the kits started suckling. One was a long-furred white kit with emerald eyes, the other a dark brown tabby kit with dark amber eyes and a white underbelly.

Firestreak was jolted out of his trance by the wails, almost falling over in the process. He glanced toward the sorce, seeing that the noise was coming from the nursery. Firestreak shook his head, hoping for Hawsight's sake that everything went well. He continued staring at the ground blankly, now fully awake, hoping that ThunderClan wouldn't suffer another lose...

Stormtail pushed his way out of the nursery, breathing heavily but brimming with joy. Two more additions to ThunderClan. Whatever the losses, the kits seemed like a blessing from StarClan.

Firestreak lifted his head as Stormtail walked out, seeing his bright expresion. He sighed, relieved, glad that ThunderClan had at least a few new additions. Firestreak's mood once again darkened, still frustrated from the day before, despite the good news. He layed his head back down, staring forward, not really wanting to think, just wanting to relax and be alone...
