Stormtail pricked his ears, still smiling. "Good news all around," he meowed. "Well...except for Shadowstar." He hesitated, then added, "You're going to have to tell the other leaders--Blackstar and Graystar and Flarestar."

Spottedstar lifted his head and smiled. "Well, then I think it's time for everyone to rest after that little fiasco. Especially Hawksight." At that point, Sparrowpaw and Smokepaw poked their heads out of their den. Smokepaw mewed, "What's going on?"

Firestreak had been listen absently to Spottedstar and Stormtail, the gray tom continueing to stare at the ground. Suddenly, his ears pricked in realization, standing qucikly. He had forgotten the gathering; Graystar and Blackstripe would be there. Firestreak sighed in disgusted, sitting back down, hanging his head, ashamed, even more frustrated with this new realization. Firestreak continued to stare at the ground, disgusted with himself along with the frustration of recent events...

Sparrowpaw and Smokepaw stood straight, ears pricked. They moaned when Stormtail said they couldn't go see the kits and sat down, a little more calm.

Hawksight shifted slightly in her sleep, but otherwise didn't react. The kits were suckling at her belly contentedly, their fur dry and kitten-soft.

Hawksight opened one eye, lifting her head and yawning. "Too soon," she muttered, turning her face away from Sparrowpaw and burying it in Snowclaw's chest fur. "Back to sleep." Soon her breathing had evened out again and the kits were suckling contentedly once more.

Firestreak stood, stretching forward. He glanced around, shrugging, padding off toward the entrance to the camp, hoping the forest would help him get his mind off his frustrations. Firestreak glanced around wordlessly, scenting the air for any strange scents while he was outside of the camp. He caught the scent of a mouse, stalking off toward the sorce of the scent...
