GoldFang studied Steeltalon for a moment and her mate Fatalis. He saw her scars, he was suprised how she had survived all of those attacks. Still he was pleased to be a member in a clan of raptors of his own kind. He had lived most of his life alone, his mother and father were forced to abandon him just the same with his brothers and sisters who were all eaten an Acrocanthosaur. Goldfang had been the only survivor. The Mutant Raptors had been a major threat to him now. He was tactical and once lead a pack of his own, making many fine victories but that was until he and his pack ran into a Tyrannosaur by the name of Crasher (not Crusher of course) who was more than a match for his pack. Goldfang fled. He was now no longer the proud Commander he once was. But that was bound to change hopefully soon he thought to himself.

"It is an honour to meet with you Steeltalon and Fatalis" He said cocking his head to them, flexing out his feather membranes to show them he was no foe and making slow approach toward them as a sign of friendship, to show that he was not going to kill them. "I was once a great commander of my own pack but now they are all dead. A T-Rex called Crasher ate them all. I fled as I was no match for him." He looked at the carcass of the Dryosaur which appeared to had been caught just recently and then up at the two raptors. Golfang was not hungry as he had already brought down a Corythosaur recently on his own. "Are you heading to you nest now Steeltalon and Fatalis?" He asked...

Larius woke up, the rain seemed to be subsiding and it was near the afternoon. The Amargrasaur he had recently killed was being scavenged on by a Crylophosaur and a Frost Allosaur (an Australian Allosaur species that was smaller than their African and American cousins who died out after the Jurassic but these ones survived to the Mid-Cretacious) as well as an Allosaurus. They had not made much progress on the meal. Larius got up and stomped up to them which was enough to see them off. He ripped some more off the carcass as he was hungry again. He sniffed the air, the scent of Tyrannosaurus lay in the air. It seemed much stronger now, if there was a Tyrannosaur close by and this was its territory, Larius would have to try and reason with it. Still, he was larger, a 15metre Giganotosaur was unusual and rare but so far, only he was the biggest of his kind on Isla Sorna, dominating even Tyrannotitan who grew to the same size as Giganotosaurs and were Carcharodontids but behaved more like Tyrannosaurus and looked similar to them too.

Larius heard a roar and turned around to see a Tyrannosaur, a bull growling at him. This one though was enormous, the size of Giganotosaurus which was very unusual. Females were always larger than the males, he knew that but this one had grown even larger than a female. He waited for the Tyrannosaur's reply first.

Crusher had reached the Sauropod hunting grounds with Tornado and Hunter. the smell of Giga was filling his nostrils. this was one of the richest concentrations of Sauropods on the island, and prime territory for Gigas. Crusher reached the edge of a clearing, having had Tornado and Hunter split up, to surround the clearing for when he charged after an Apatosaur. the more sides they could hit it from, the faster it would go down. Crusher eyed a particular Apatosaur, and was about to step forward, when he spotted a Giga. it was slightly larger than usual, but still small to him. this was the overlapping area, so he had no right to force it out. it was welcome to join him in the hunt, though Crusher hoped that if it did, it was skilled, and not some young, foolish, wreckless Giga like the ones he had come across in the past. he growled "Who are you, Giganotosaur?", and waited for a response...

Fatalis looked at the newcomer in amusement at his assumption, then hissed "We aren't mates". he then paused for a moment, and thought about the name, and hissed "Goldfang...I have heard much of you. It's an honour to meet another of my kind. You can join us for now, but our group is not planned to become a pack. I preffer to live alone, and have only been forced into a group because of the risk that a pack of old enemies has caused. Steeltalon, I, and several other raptors, are at risk from this enemy pack. they are far more skilled than a regular pack of mutants. I fear that without staying in a pack, i would have little chance of killing many of them before being killed myself. Steeltalon, my friend, is in the same predicement. I also know a couple of Alpha Raptors which used to be packmembers of mine when we were young, who are also at risk. i am currently planning to go to a meeting place with the other Loner Wolves, and after the meeting, return to my friends' pack or go with the Lone Wolves, depending on the situation. you are welcome to join us for now, but dont hope for a permanent pack with us. my friends may accept you, though"...

Larius then realized how big the Tyrannosaur he was facing at was. He first looked down at his Amargrasaur corpse and then up at the enormous predator. This guy was 25 metres long, as long as a Brachiosaur. No Tyrannosaurs were never this large. This one was gigantic. At least it did not stand as high as a Brachiosaur. Larius seemed a little worried. The scars on it was proof that this rex had been through many battles. He growled back in recognition "Indeed, never have I seen one as large as you. I am Larius, normally Tyrannosaurs were smaller. I don't see how you came to be so large. Still the fact is I am the largest Giganotosaur on the island at 18 metres! But nonetheless, what I was doing? I was out here hunting on the Sauropod grounds. I just recently brought this herbivore down. Amargrasaurs are somewhat easier than Argentinosaurs who I find most tasty." He flexed his large claws and licked his lips and teeth cleaning them before continuing. "I hunt on these sauropod grounds momentarily. Otherwise I live in my own territory where all Giganotosaurs are, but there is a problem, our territory is growing smaller, Giganotsaur packs are now getting into territory fights. This is becasue of a T-Rex named Crasher. I am honored to meet you. What is your name?" He asked the Tyrannosaur.

Goldfang made a humorous bark at the two raptors realizing they were not mates. And then went serious again because of the plan. "Yes I will go with you, I think a gathering is in need now, the island is not as it seems. Even though the Spinosaur Leader is slain (the one Crusher killed), causing tention between Baryonix and Spinosaurs, there is still the Mutant Raptors about. I have also seen Megaraptors siding with them. The Utahraptors seem to be siding with Deinonychus packs and are planning to fight the Mutant Raptors. I will follow with you both, I am honoured to be known by some." Said Goldfang.

"My name..." Crusher growled "...Is Crusher. if you want another meal, you may join me. my son and grandfather are hidden on the other side of the clearing, and we're planning to go eastwards, towards that Apatosaur herd in the distance. i need to feed my family". Crusher felt comfortable with this Giga. it wasn't as big as the mutated ones he had killed years ago, and was respectful enough to keep him comfortable. he was waiting for a response. the rain was getting stronger, and he was getting more and more hungry with each passing moment...

Fatalis hissed "The Megaraptors? if they trully are with this particular pack of mutants, i'll need to find Crusher. we cant take on Megaraptors without a very powerful ally. i just hope Crusher agrees. he's had so many enemies attack his family in his life that im not sure he'll want to help. we'll just have to hope...". Fatalis took another bite from the Para carcass...

Larius, saw Crusher getting impatient. The rains were returning, there seemed to be a thunderstorm approaching too. He knew it may get dangerous soon. Even though Amargrasaurus was 10 metres long, and smaller than Apatasaurus, it was still worth a nice meal. "Nice to meet you Crusher, I know this storm is coming and understand you have a family but I think its better if you don't go hunting the Apatosaurs until later. Here, take the Amargrasaur that I have killed here with you. I will accompany you back to your nest and family. The Apatosaurs will be easier to catch later on." He growled. He was not so alarmed now, but all the same a little worried as Crusher was as it's name would define himself as. He cocked his head to the Tyrannosaur offering the Amargasaur.

Goldfang nodded his head. He knew they were going to need allies to bring down the opposing Raptors. He did not know much about Crusher, but he did hear that he was an enormous T-Rex, the largest on the island which was quite unusual as females were larger than males and yet this one was enormous he heard. He walked over feeling slightly peckish and ate a bit of the neck from the Para.

Clawfsit followed by his freinds, entered the clearing. This was the clearing where Stix's pack used to live. Now it was littered with bones. From the tracks, it looked like the attackers had come peacefully and that a fight had broken out latter, but what really scared them, was the scent of megaraptor among the smell of mutants. If megaraptors were involved, they were in trouble. After a small while of trudging about seraching, Softfoot was hit by a thought and hissed "the lone wolfs, Xanther! They mightned be aware of the megaraptors! If we warn them, it would earn our respect!" Clawfsit looked at her and growled "good idea, Sandstorm and you go follow Xanthers scent to the meet spot, but dont scare them or they might break or attack" sandstorm looked at him and hissed "no problem brother" The two sped off into the jungle.

Steeltalon watched Goldfang with amusement. "So your parents abandoned you unintentionally," she growled softly. "You're one of the lucky ones." Steeltalon ripped off a chunk of meat, swallowing it whole. She instinctively glanced at her old slash scar, half expecting it to open and form a river of blood as if it were a fresh injury.

Steeltalon blinked, itching to be moving out. "Don't you think we should be getting to the meeting you called?" she barked to Fatalis. She tensed her leg muscles, ready for a sprint. She stiffened slightly, her eyes unblinking. She thought she heard something behind them. Steeltalon turned her head to glare into the brush behind them, just catching a glimpse of a pair of red eyes.

Goldfang looked up Steeltalon. "Of course, they had to do it to save me. From the T-Rex by the name of Crasher. My Brothers and Sisters and I escaped, however we ran into Acrocanthosaurs shortly afterward and they ate all of my family other than me. Eventually I joined a pack and back the Alpha Raptor and we had many victorious fights. However I encountered Crasher again, I thought we could take him down but he was too strong and my pack leaders were eaten. I fled from him and he chased me. He is enormous, similar to this one you call Crusher, even though they are not the same Tyrannosaur. This one is possibly the meanest I have seen. Since then I have encountered Mutant Raptors as well as Megaraptors, which I have killed. I'll do what I can to help you. I know the Megaraptors and Mutant Raptors weak points. So yes we should get moving ASAP." He said.

Fatalis hissed "Very well then, let's go. we have 4 hours before the meeting. in the mean time, we'll start moving towards it, and you can tell me some of your strategies against them. we have to avoid going to the meeting spot now, because if the raptors are tracking us, they'll know where it is and would be capable of ambushing us. Saberclaw, one of the oldest and most skilled Lone Wolves, and the only one with more respect and power among them other than myself, will probably have a patrol done and maybe a few scouts sent to check it and watch it just before the meeting. he's the only one with the power to do it, and im sure he wouldn't risk being taken by surprise. im thirsty, so let's go to the deep river, have a drink from it, and wait until it's time for the meeting. then we'll go to the planned meeting spot, and proceed with the meeting. after that, we'll go to Crusher and warn him. I am now a temporary resident of Crusher's territory, so to get to me, the Megaraptors would have to enter the territory. we need to make sure Crusher knows of it. now, there's a forest between us and the deep river. the best way to go through it and avoid being attacked is by going through the trees. do you have problems in trees Goldfang?". Fatalis sensed he was being watched. he looked to his right, and spotted a pair of red eyes staring at him through a bush. from the shape of the eyes, he guessed it was an Oviraptor. but what were they doing here? this area wasn't a nesting ground for any herbivore on the island, and all the predators with nests here were too powerful and fierce to attack. he hissed "Oviraptor...wait here". he then ran towards the spy at top speed, too fast for most raptors to catch up with, and leaped, going about 12 feet through the air before landing square in the back of the target, killing it. he hissed as he bit onto the neck of the Oviraptor below him as claw connected with spine. it was killed instantly. he dragged it out from behind the bush, and hissed "Let's go. where there's one, there's more, and they're getting more aggressive and strong lately. im not in the mood for a fight...".

Crusher looked at the Amargosaurus carcass below him, then at the Giga, and growled "I thank you for the offer, Giganotosaur. i'll not soon forget it. meet me here tomorrow at noon and i'll help you catch an Argentinosaur as thanks". Crusher then made a sub sonic roar calling his son and grandfather, telling them that he had a meal for the family. they came to him, and saw the Giga. at first, Hunter looked at it with a flare of hatred, remembering the massive monster that had killed his younger brother, Chomper, so many years ago. the feeling was soon replaced with gratitude when he saw his father reassuring him that this Giga was good, with a simple nod. Crusher thanked the Giga once more, and grabbed the hip of the Amargosaur. Hunter grabbed the neck, and Tornado led them, keeping a sharp eye out for aggressors on their way back to the nest...

Steeltalon shrugged one shoulder. "If they come anywhere near the caves, they'll wish they were never hatched," she growled, half to herself. She looked at Fatalis. "I've only ever been to Crusher's territory once, when I first met you. So...looks like we'll be following you," she hissed. Steeltalon twitched the end of her tail uncomfortably. She hated getting herself into this kind of situation, but she was on her own and bored. She had nothing better to do.

Goldfang nodded after seeing the Oviraptor dragged from the bushes by Fatalis. "I have no trouble in hiding in the trees. I used them as an advantage. Megaraptor's are the size of Allosaurs so I'd watch it, they have a long hooked claw like Baryonix but its pointy rather than hooked so they use it to stab rather than grapple." He growled. And then had another thought. "We should probably keep talking whilst walking, I think the Oviraptors might be the lapdogs or spies working for the Mutant Raptors. I think they might be trying to get messages over to the Mutant Raptors, if this is true then we had best keep our eyes open and voices at a minimum until we know they ain't around." He barked to Fatalis and Steeltalon. And they walked cautiously to the large river not far from here to drink. Goldfang had been the Alpha Raptor of a pack for a few years and in that time he had been a master in hunting. They even brought down a Camarasaur once, and even though they were small sauropods, raptors never dared attacked them. However he and his pack were able to bring down one without losing their lives. He looked carefully around for any watchers as they headed down to the riverbed...

Larius felt glad to know that he was safe. Crusher certainly was doing a fine job clearing his territory out of predators that he had let in but dominated those parts now. Larius was larger than a Spinos but Crusher was as large as an Apatosaur. This made him incredibly enormous. Still he did not ponder on the matter and simply growled back in recognition. "Thank you Crusher for letting me use this territory, I am Larius. I will always respect your territory and you. I will wait until tomorrow and then we shall bring down the Argentinosaur. It will provide more than enough food than this Amargrasaur here. I heard that all is not well, I know of the Ultra Raptors (Mutant Raptors in other words). A pack of them woke me up this morning. I made breakfast out of their leader and several of their members went down nicely, the rest fled from me. My sheer size was more than enough. But still they could not help in trying. I'll see you tomorrow Crusher." Said Larius before heading off into the trees to get some cover from thunderstorm...

Fatalis hissed "Be ready for a run". he then moved closer to Goldfang and Fatalis and hissed quietly "On my mark, run forward and get into a tree after about 100 feet. after that, we'll have lost any followers. then we can continue on our way". Fatalis took a drink from the river, which was being disturbed by the rain pounding into it. it made it difficult to see the crocodiles below. Fatalis kept his legs angled forward so that if a Croc came nearby, he could either slash it on the snout, or jump backwards, away from it. they were only a bit bigger than himself. their jaws weren't big enough to eat him whole, so he felt fairly safe. after he finished drinking, he looked at the raptors on either side of him...

Crusher growled "Ahhhh....the mutants. i thought i had got rid of them. be warned though; some of them are extremely skilled, and are very hard to get a grip on. if you get one between your teeth, dont bite gently. crush it immediately, otherwise it'll find a way to slip out, and you'll have another raptor to worry about. some of them are just absolutely insane. they tried to ambush my grandfather, Tornado, once. it was their biggest mistake, but the fact that they tried means they dont care about size or strength. they use numbers. I'll meet you here tomorrow, Larius. until then, goodbye"

Wednesday at last! 6 hours from now i'll be home and starting my weekend! be ready for it!!!

Goldfang nodded. He checked the water before taking a quick drink. Bagasuchus was the only crocodillian to live on Isla Sorna, larger than a compy. They were small but all the same, ferocious. They could easily bring down an animal when working in a group. Goldfang got ready to run and waited for Steeltalon to finish her fill...

Larius settled down to rest for the night. It was not long before daytime would arrive and he would be ready to bring down an Argentinosaur. He could tell that the sun was rising in the horizon. So far nobody had bothered him in the night. He relaxed and waited until the morning sun shone in the horizon.

Crusher carried the Amargasaurus by the hip, to avoid the long sail bones on the neck, which could possibly irritate him. his Grandfather in front of him, and Hunter by his side, the 3 returned to the nest. Crusher put down the Amargasaurus and watched as Rox and Razor stopped playing and looked at the strange creature that had been brought to the nest. What was this strange creature? Where did it come from? it had a large fin on it, but it looked like a Sauropod. but Sauropods didn't have sails. so why did this one have one? the pair thought. they then slowly went forward and bit onto the sail, biting through the rathar tough sail with little trouble. Rampage walked up, and growled "I'm going to have a drink. i'll be back soon". Crusher nodded, and he saw Rampage leave. just before she left the clearing, Lightning got up, and followed. the pair went towards the deep river. Crusher went into a semi-crouch, and started eating. Hunter and Tornado joined in soon after...

Fatalis had another gulp of the clear, refreshing liquid, then looked at Steeltalon, and growled "Finished?". he waited for a reply...

Steeltalon slowly nodded, carefully keeping an eye on the bushes behind them. "I'm finished," she replied softly. She scanned the treetops, remembering the eyes she had seen after she killed Night. She still couldn't get rid of the clinging feeling that something was watching their every move.

Goldfang felt something was not right, he felt a tingling in the back of his head. He knew when he felt this, he knew something was watching him. He lifted his head out of the water after another drink. He saw some Bagasuchus swimming around who snapped at him but did not dare try to attack. They were small prehistoric crocodillians, they would eat a compy if it was swimming but anything larger was too much for them. Goldfang knew it was not the Bagasuchus but something else. He looked behind and saw nothing. A pack of Compsognathus jumped into the water, the Bagasuchus swam after them. Not far off was Procompsognathus, a few of them simply hunting. Still, there was nobody around to pose him much of a threat. He went back to drinking and then the feeling in the back of his head turned to a shiver. He looked around and saw something big in the trees. It was somewhat hidden but he could see it had a large head. Sharp teeth were looking at him and what scared him most was the long pointed claw on both of its hands. He made a small bark to Steeltalon and Fatalis. "Stand firm, I see a Megaraptor lurking in the trees several metres away. We need to move away right now, don't worry, if we look it straight in the eye it will know not to try an ambush and hold back! Follow my gaze!" Said Goldfang looking straight at Megaraptor. This tactic he used worked sometimes but he did not know how good this will be. Somehow it was not working cause straight away Megaraptor burst out from the forest roaring.

Fatalis looked at the charging Megaraptor. it really was crazy. but he had a plan. he started mimicking Raptor pack help calls. Mega raptors definately knew at least the sound of them, and the sounds would probably make it think they had a pack to back them up somewhere in the trees. it slowed from a full speed charge to a slow run, but it was still coming. Fatalis' mind worked furiously to figure out what to do. he also felt something very big coming in from behind him...

Rampage and lightning were on their way to the hunting grounds. they had crossed the deep river, and continued going forward towards the hunting grounds. their attention was caught when Megaraptor and Velociraptor calls were heard. Mega raptors weren't allowed in Crusher's territory; she knew that for a fact, since they were large, sneaky and dangerous, as well as untrustable to anything other than Raptors. they moved forward to have a look, and saw Fatalis and 2 raptors, one on either side of him, facing a charging Megaraptor. Rampage growled quietly "You move to the right of the three raptors, i'll move to the left, if it keeps coming, we both charge". Lightning nodded and grunted "Ok. good plan"...

Fatalis was about to tell Goldfang and Steeltalon to run, when his ears were burst with the sound of 2 female Tyrannosaurs coming out of the clearing behind them, jumping over the small river and landing, surprisingly, in tact. they both looked at the Megaraptor, and roared. the Megaraptor changed direction, targeting the larger female, Rampage. it leaped at Rampage, but Rampage had been taught how to counter most frontal attacks. she swung her head upwards as it came close, and sent the lighter predator flying upwards before landing on the ground with a loud thump. Rampage stepped on it's tail, and snarled "You were mistaken to enter this territory, Megaraptor. and to attack an ally of my mate, Crusher, was an even bigger mistake". Rampage then swung her head down into the Megaraptor's skull similarly to the way Crusher did [which was the reason he got his name], crushing the Raptor's skull to a paste. it was half her size, but surprisingly easy to stop, because of it being alone, and because of her good timing. she looked back at the raptors, and growled "Are you three ok?". Fatalis looked at the raptors on either side of him, noticing Goldfang looked frightened, and Steeltalon looking a bit worried as well, and hissed "Yes we're ok. thank you Rampage". he then looked at the raptors and hissed "Don't worry, she's safe. the older one is Crusher's mate, Rampage. the younger is her son's mate, Lightning"...
