Steeltalon shivered as she stared at Rampage. She couldn't shake her fear, which was unusual. Rampage looked familiar to her, as if they had met somewhere before. Steeltalon shook her head and barked a thank you. She turned back to the trees, looking for any sign of danger. She surprised herself--she wasn't normally this tense or cautious.

Soft foot and Sandstorm had caought up to Xanther, after a quick argument they continued, he had to amit they had a point if Megaraptors were around.

As they walked they heared the sound of fighting and also the sound of a raptor pack call, most likely a fight with a larger predator.
Softfoot ordered "Trees now!" But Sandstorm and Xanther were already half way up the nearst tree, she followed them and they continued through the trees. earlier they had to take different route than planned beacuse of a crazed allosaur and she was worried of being late.

Steeltalon sighed and shook off her fear after a minute. She blinked and looked around. "Did I just hear...?" she muttered half to herself. Softfoot? So they're coming, she thought. Anger slowly replaced her fear. "They decided to show their faces, did they?" she growled. She flexed her killing toe. "I kind of hoped they got themselves killed...but we can't always get what we want." Steeltalon let out a bark of surprise when she caught the scent. It wasn't just Softfoot. There were others with her.

"Fatalis, there are others aproaching," she hissed. "Smells like Softfoot and some of her pack." She leaped into a tree and climbed to a branch where she could see the river easily.

Moveing stealthily through the trees on th higest branches they continued. Sandstorm growled out "Danm, Im getting a scent of mutant raptor and faint bit of rex, we should move faster." xanther and Softfoot agreed and they quickened their pace.

Steeltalon bared her teeth as the scent grew stronger. She narrowed her eyes into glittering slits and poised herself to strike.

You'll regret the day you ever heard of me, she thought with a soft snarl.

Isaac, his mate, and I go hunting. We stalk some Gallimimus, and find a juvenile, about 8 feet long, with a limp. We run it down, and nip and scratch it to death. I get a hunk of flesh, and bring it over to my mate.

A heavey shape rolled over on the forest floor. The body of a sleeping Carnotaur lay their. Deep in slumber, he waited for some animal to wake him up once it skittered across the moss on the ground. Perhaps a twig would snap, mabye something else, he didn't care. This was how it had been for a while, no action, boredom, boredom, boredom. Nothing more, nothing less.

A sharp roar peirced the forest in a terrifying mannor. A large Acrocanthosaur stood at the top of his mountain, one foot was on top of a rock, keeping the therapod steady. The other foot, pointed slightly to the side, was practically straight, with just a slight backwards tilt. Thrash was again, scarying scavengers away from his meager domain. He ran half way down the hill after a few raptors, but the attack was half hearted. He turned around and climbed back up.

Fatalis looked at Steeltalon curiously. she was too worried. he looked at Rampage ,who growled "I need to go. i came here to have a drink. Lightning came for the same. as soon as we're done, we need to head back. your welcome to join us, if you like". Lightning went over to the river and drank, then looked at Rampage, waiting to see how the raptors would respond. Fatalis liked the idea, but he wanted Steeltalon or Goldfamg to say something. there was still a couple of hours before dawn, and Thrasher's skeleton wasn't too far from Crusher's nest. they'd be able to reach it in 10 minutes if they ran, and 20 if they walked...

Destrelius smelt blood so went to the location and found a carcass with scavengers around it, she was hungry so scared off the scavengers and had her fill.

Destrelius was wandering through the low scrub when she heard movement, she slowly walked over to were she had heard it. She lowered her head and there was a baby tyrannosaur that was only a few months old. The small dinosaur was terrified and frozen in place. Destrelius lifted her head and sniffed the air to see if there were any one stalking the youngster, she smelt nothing so lowered her head. She growled "What is wrong? What is your name?". The small tyrannosaur softly barked "You are not going to eat me?"
"No, why would i do that?" replied Destrelius with a low growl. The small tyrannosaur looked at Destrelius and growled "Because you are bigger then me and you are a carnivore." Destrelius looked at him then replied with "But i have already ate my fill, i had a herbivore earlier. What is your name?"
The infant replied with a more happy bark "Colourmimic but mimic for short" It was just then that she noticed his colours, he was orange but with black stripes along his back. "Have you eaten anything lately?" Destrelius growled. Mimic barked back "No my mother had died and i do do not know of my father, i cannot eat insects anymore but cannot hunt small prey because they are too swift and cannot hunt larger prey because they are too strong." Destrelius felt guilty for the first time in her quick life, she did not know why she felt guilty but then asked with a bellow " Would you like some food?"

Goldfang was reluctant when the Tyrannosaurs had arrived. Now he knew the raptors had allies, this gave him a better chance of survival. He pondered for a moment, with two Tyrannosaurs, they'd be safe from most of the larger carnivores. "Sounds like a good idea, the more allies we have, the better chance we have of bringing down the opposing enemies and their alliances. Shame how I don't have my pack with me, they were the strongest on the island, they were the elite raptors, until they were mowed down by Crasher. Yes I reckon we should stay with the Tyrannosaurs." Said Goldfang....

Larius woke up later when he heard the sound of roaring near his resting spot. He got up and heard more roaring. He looked down the hill during dawn and saw an Argentinosaurus in distress. It appeared to be a bull. Its heard was walking off without him. What was causing him distress was also where the roaring was coming from. It appeared to be a pack of Giganotosaurs trying to bring down the sauropod. But the Giganotosaurs were in dangerous positions there snapping at it. They were adults but not experienced with taking down this particular sauropod. They were attacking it from behind and the front and not from the sides. 2 were snapping at its neck whilst 3 were attacking it at the tail end. The Argentinosaurs' tail was swishing around like a large whip. The neck was also swinging like a club at the two in front. And the Argentinosaur reared up on its back legs. Clearly the two in front were about to be crushed. Larius got up and charged down the hill and without warning leapt onto the sauropods back to hold it down...

Destrelius growled to Mimic "Stay here." Mimic stopped and stood behind some leaves while watching the older carnivore, there was a herd of herbivores of which Mimic had seen most of them before, she did not recognize the ones sprinting around on their rear two legs and with a long neck. Mimic watched as Destrelius stood still for a full five minutes, a young adult not fully understanding about the herd wanders off close to the tree line
where the carnivore lies in wait, the herbivore gets close to some shrub and was about to eat but within a flash Destrelius was upon the unlucky beast, bitting into its neck and holding it down with her foot. The herd had gone into panic and were stampeding off in the other direction. Destrelius and Mimic quickly ate the kill before any other carnivores would come.

LE, you've moved forward way too much. keep in mind that Fatalis' meeting with the Wolves is at dawn. you fast forwarded to noon. you could easily make it dawn, to fit in...

Fatalis and the others had returned to Crusher's nest and remained there until dawn. shortly before the meeting, Fatalis and the other 2 raptors got up and left, running towards the meeting place; the edge of a river where a massive, mutated Spinosaur's skull lay. Fatalis barked 3 times to announce his arrival, and out of nowhere, a large number of Lone Wolves, nearing 30, emerged from the surrounding trees. SaberClaw, an abnormally large, golden brown male, came up, and hissed "It's been a long time, Fatalis". the raptor was a golden brown colour, with black tigerstripes on his back, with sea blue eyes. very unusual for a raptor. he also had a long set of quill like feathers pointing out of the upper part of his head and neck, which were a rich red and yellow colour, with blue tips. Saberclaw was what was known as an assault raptor. that name was given to his type because of their larger build, stronger muscles, and bulkier bodies, which helped to quickly deal serious damage to large opponents. Fatalis was one of the better balanced ones, being a cross between what are known as scout raptors, known for their unmatched speed, and Master raptors, which are the oens who usually become Alpha Raptors in packs, and generally have enhanced abilities, such as improved vision, hearing, jumping and physical strength. Fatalis growled "It has, my friend. it really has been a long time. too long. The reason i've called for this meeting is because we all have a new, rather dangerous threat. Mutant raptors". Saberclaw hissed "Mutants? we've had that problem for years, Fatalis". Fatalis hissed "ah, But these are different. they are from my old pack". all the Lone Wolves fell silent at that. Fatalis was once part of the largest and most powerful pack on the island. it was after an attack by Thrasher the Spinosaur that they lost their place and power, and were assumed dead. Saberclaw barked "Impossible! They're dead!". Fatalis hissed "No. they managed to escape the attack, and grouped up, and then blamed the attack on me and my friends, Blade and Exile. they also want my friend, Steeltalon, dead, because of her killing of a raptor by the name of Night. they apparently see a problem with killing me that they could only overcome with Night's help. what that problem is, i dont know, but i do know that now, she's also a target. and, chances are, they also want the Lone Wolves killed, since we are the best Raptors on the island. they'll want us out of the way to regain their power among the raptors. how many of them there are, im not sure. but i know this: they are FAR better skilled than the average mutant. they're probably equal to Lone Wolves, or perhaps slightly less. they nearly killed me. they had prepared an ambush near our Eastern Meeting point, by the small stream with the broken tree. i only managed to catch them at the last moment. a split second later and i wouldn't be here now". the Lone Wolves started to talk among themselves about what had just been said. clearly this was something major...

Crusher headed for the neutral territory between him and the Gigas. he was going to meet Larius. it was time to catch an Argentinosaur...

(changed it to dawn KP, my bad)

Goldfang was amazed at the sight of the lone wolves. They must've been the best other than himself to have survived this long, all who have been somehow alone either their pack gone or some other reason. At least he, Fatalis and Steeltalon were not alone. This meeting had definately been planned. Goldfang walked over and began to make conversation with the other raptors. "I am one such hunted by the Ultra Raptors as I call them. However, I have survived on my own for months. I have studied them, and quickly identified their weakpoints." He barked out loud. The constant barking stopped and everyone turned to Goldfang. Being once a proud commander he knew that the first thing to do was to gain attention in the pack. Now that he had he could continue. "The Ultra Raptors are large, fast, powerful and are able to overwhelm their foes within seconds. Even one on its own can take on 10 of us. However, there is a quick method to bring them down. After killing a pack of 5 that tried to kill me a few days ago, I happened to find that one spot on them is weak. Their backs are somehow soft, one kick from my claw scraped right through. The spine somehow snapped and paralyzed it. This gave me the chance to kill it. The best way to kill them in other words is how we usually kill live prey by leaping onto their backs and digging our fangs, claws and sickle feet into them." The raptors seemed to nod and agree with him. Now he could tell them of a good plan of ambush to them...

Larius was able to bring down the enormous sauropod and it came down with a crash. The other gigas then attacked without question of what was happening and bit at the Titanosaur. Quickly the herbivore was brought down. The gigas barked at Larius thanking him for bringing down the kill. They were obviously amazed at his colossal size. Still they decided to save the conversation after and eat. Larius smelt the air, he turned around quickly and saw Crusher coming down the hill...

Xanther was feeling nervus, he didnt know how the others would react to Softfoot and Sandstorms plea.
He steppd foreward and growled "I think we have even more to be worryed about, some freinds of mine.... i will let them explain." he gavew two quick barks and then softfoot clibed down a tree some 20 meters away from the meeting and walked towards, them followed by Sandstorm. She stopped in the center of the group. She was absaloutly terrifyed inside, but it didnt show, on the outside she looked confident and ready, she growled out loud." Hello, My name is softfoot. Mw and freinds live in a section of forest some bit away. Recently, a group of mutants living nearby were slaughtered. When we investigated the site, from the tracks, he are guessing at first the attackers were welcome to the pack, however futher in to their home, quick evidence that a fight had broken out arrived. it seemed that a pack of mutants had strolled into the center of their home, talked for a bit, and then slaughtered the lot. The air was also heavy with mega raptor. At the moment our pack is too small to survive against an attack but we are skilled fighters and currently busy fighting with a group of Oviraptors. We need help, and return we are willing to give help back." Sandstorm whisspered from behind "Dont look now, but Steeltalon is among the group, be ready to run as fast as you can."

Fatalis hissed "Well, considering the fact that i have managed to knock them out quite often through blunt hits to the head, if we can paralyze them, that's better. less risk. but, we shouldn't go too far. i need to gather some information about them. my expectations are that these raptors may know more than we do, to have lived this long without us hearing about them, being that skilled. the best way to attack them is from above. now, the ones among us with easy skill in trees will find that a useful advantage, but what about the ones who aren't as nimble? not all of us can jump into the trees as easily as scouts can. for example, Assault raptors like Saberclaw, the ones with the most strength, lack the light weight needed to be able to jump into the trees and land from above; the only way to fight them in close quarters. from a distance, the Assault raptors have the advantage, being strong enough to actually knock the mutants off their feet, giving them the advantage needed to paralyze them afterwards. the scouts may be too light to do damage in close quarters, and if these raptors are fast enough to out manouver us, we're all in trouble. also keep in mind these aren't regular mutants we're dealing with. we're dealing with the most powerful pack the island's ever seen, almost skilled enough to top the Lone Wolves in skill". Saberclaw growled "Fatalis is right. not all of us have the nessecary flexibility to move through the trees, though he is quite skilled at that himself, from what i've seen. personally, im easily capable of it, but others aren't. how do we solve this problem? Goldfang? Steeltalon? any suggestions? Lone Wolves?" the Lone Wolves were conversing, thinging about a solution to this problem. before they could finish, Xanther, one of the more quiet Lone Wolves, stepped forward, and introduced his friends. Fatalis hissed "We are aware of the Megaraptors, Softfoot. I have been talking to Crusher's family on about a way to deal with them. we may have help from them with that problem. as for the Oviraptors, we will see. if it's rewards outweigh the risks, we will help, but, in case you dont know, we currently have a problem with extremely skilled mutants. ones that are almost good enough to top the Lone Wolves in skill. it's all a case of numbers, and plans. if they are more than us, or can outthink us, we will be the ones who are killed. if we can outdo them, we'll rid the island of another dangerous inhabitant. Goldfang? Steeltalon? Saberclaw? any ideas?". Saberclaw barked "The Oviraptors have been acting aggressive lately. that, we all know. why, is something we still haven't figured out, but apparently, one of the leading Oviraptors on the island has persueded them that we are enemies and that we need to be eliminated. I think that all we need, is to find the leader, and pursuede him that he doesn't want a war with us. we've all seen our fair share of blood feuds in our lifetimes, and suffered because of them. there's no need to suffer anymore. of course, if they aren't willing to see logic, we'll kill the leaders. fi you kill the leaders, the others will surrender without a fight. it's typical with all pack predators". Fatalis nodded, then barked "Any other suggestions? or does everyone aggree with Saberclaw's idea?"...

Crusher moved forward, heading down a small hill, and entering the plains, where he saw Larius waiting. he was early. Daybreak. the sun had only been up for a couple of hours. but now was prime hunting time. one of the things the humans had done to the predators was make them warm-blooded. the herbivores hadn't been given that feature. so now, while most of the herbivores were just waking up, very inactive, with very few of them active enough to move around, run, fight or do anything else, Crusher would be able to easily bring down a herbivore. Crusher roared "Good morning, Larius. your up early. Are you ready to catch an Argentinosaur?"

Steeltalon glared at Softfoot and Sandstorm. She said nothing to them, instead choosing to suggest something that might sound incredibly stupid.

"Why don't we use a decoy?" she suggested softly. "One of the faster raptors." Steeltalon blinked slowly, knowing what she was about to say would either get her killed, or save them all. "What about Sandstorm?" she barked, flashing a glance in his direction. "We could try to lure the mutants into a trap. We might need a string of decoys...Maybe Sandstorm would run so far, then climb a tree next to where the next raptor in the chain and that raptor would start running." She shrugged. "Worth a shot. It's either trap them, or kill them all."

Softfoot realised a sigh of relief and growled "Thank you"
Sandstorm spoke up for the first time "Fatalis, we are in the same hole as you, no? I seem to remember something about pinning night to the ground, waiting for Steeltalon to show up. If they want her dead, its the same for us, and seeing as the six of us have managed to fight off, creatosaurs, allosaurs, oviraptors and a charca I dont think there is a question regarding our abilitys. As for steeltalon, I like her idea, our pack is expeiranced in those kind of tactics. But, if you do not accept our help..... we will not bother you again." He had siliently laughed at steeltalons sugesstion, she never really liked him anyway, probobly in hope of getting him killed.
