"OK. Time we got moving. Probably a good idea to find somewhere to lay low for a while. I expect there's gonna be alot of super predator activity for the next couple of days while the ones that were taken try and reclaim their old turf. Trust me when i say you don't want to get caught up in that" growled Fatalis as he eyed Howler, Rhojis, Sylicora and Pulsar. "Also.....have any of you seen Renegade?" he added...
the rhythmic booming of 4 Rexes' footfalls seemed to rock the jungle as the Rex family headed towards the center of the island, rumbling snarls warding off all that got in their way. Crusher's eyes drifted from right to left, wary of his surroundings. if Nightshade hadn't been given the same treatment he recieved, then he was certainly here, and almost undoubtedly knew of his return. they had to be careful...
Ripper's eyes fell on the lab on the edge of a clearing ahead, the Elder Raptor approaching it from the trees. he knew better than to move on the ground here. Carnotaurs littered this area, strangely attracted to the scent of the waste the human structure used to dump. the Elder leapt from branch to branch, before finally leaping off, crossing a gap between the treeline and a metal beam sticking out of the side of the building, part of a load of supports for a pipe extending from the building and down into the artificial 'pond' to one side of the building. the Raptor glanced around from the metal perch, listening to the sounds around him. a scuffle could be heard between two predators within the building, and the air reaked of Dromeosaurs. the Elder sighed. this would be an annoying cleanup job. looking at the dart in his clawed hand, he snarled. entering the building's upper levels, he searched for a good hiding place, finding a small hole in the floor to old wiring and pipes. placing it in a gap between two of the pipes, he shifted some dead leaves and vines over the spot, before walking into one of the many hallways in the facility....it was time to play his favourite game...
Rockfang crunched on the corpse of a dead Triceratops deep within the heart of the island, the tyrannosaur's malformed jaws easily making short work of his prey. the Rex had an oddly formed lower jaw, with unusually large fangs sticking up and leaving grooves in the upper jaw, almost like an exagerated crocodile's jaw, massive teeth interlocking rather than the upper jaw overlapping the lower, as was the case with many Rexes. the large grey-green predator snarled lowly. he had been told that the position of the strongest predator on the island was now mine. that in turn meant Nightshade was dead. if he were defeated then the title would be given to the one who defeated him. but that brought up questions. how did Nightshade die? why were they so swift to tell him he was Nightshade's replacement? was it on Nightshade's order? a last request? he'd have to look into it soon...
Blade slowed to a stop at Alira's side, catching her muttering something, but not hearing what it was. still feeling the weight of the sedative and the exhaustion that had somehow not been satisfied during their trip, he decided to rest. laying down at the Allosaur's side, Blade fell into a swift, peaceful sleep, his only fear now behind him...he was home...at last...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
