The two guards that had been at the gate the other day were still there. Both of them looked at the messanger carfully, recognizing him. "Go right ahead, Messanger... Trajan is up ontop of the balcony..." Both said to him in unison befoe they opened up te gate slowly...

So that is how the message ended... Trajan thought as he continued to look out over the city of Tristan. He remembered thanking Odin for talking to them on the issue, then giving he idol to Cornelious, before ordering for him to be escourted off to one of the nearby hotels for the time being. He also had given Cornelious 4 golden coins for his help...

Not too far away was the local lake, on which shores Tristan was founded on. At the western edge of the lake stood the cloaked figure, the notebook still in one hand, and a staff in the other. The figure looked arund, noticing there was no one around... Pefect... there was no one to interfere with it's plans for revenge... revenge against Trajan,Dione, and anyone else that may still be alive after that event...

The armored figure passed through the undergrowth aimlessly, despite the compass dangling from his neck. Such was the case for a long while now and Desrium's wandering soon brought him to a point where the tree tops thickened into a leafy roof, with thick vines bridging the gaps between branches. Water continued to drip from above, running along his helmet and down his metal covered body. The forest was strangely quiet in the early morning, save for the sound of distant bird song. That is why when Desrium thought he heard voices, he slowed to a stop and listened intently. The voices were faint, but he must have been close by for him to have heard them at all, amongst the sound of running water, posibly a river. Others? Way out here in the wildnerness? It caught his interest, and he started the approach the source with underlying trepidation. He wondered about just how those staying beside the river would react to him...

The gryphon rider nods. "I understand." He then readies to head in, along with the velenhad messenger...

The sounds of the trolls were audible, but the beast itself was not visible. Khorne sniffed around some more, trying to find the beast....

Bubba takes the bag and says, "Ya probably have difficulties carryin' it. Lemme do da heavy lifting fer ya."

Sarah visibly cowers from the roar. "What was that?!"

Ikargu turns over to Sarah and replies, "sorry, I was just contacting our friend Saurgu. It's one of our species ways of communication."

Shezz nods in disagreement and says, "bag be lighter than one Shubba carry for me. This only ment for extra supplies."

Hraesvelgr continues looking around, letting out a low growl in response to the sounds the trolls were making...

Bubba sighs and says, "Alrigh'. If ya insist." He sets the bag down.

Sarah nods nervously...

Some of the trolls scamper off, but one of them emerges from the snowy field and looks at Khorne curiously. Unfortunately, it is soon met with a faceful of caustic acid. The troll roars in pain, graspnig its burning face before retreating back into the mountains. "Stupid beast," Khorne mutters...

"It's ok to be scared, Sarah," Ikargu added on, "the noise is meant to make other creatures fearful of what's going on while call over my own kind.

Shezz picks up the bag with the chest and throws it over his shoulder before beginning to move back the way the group had come from.

Hraesvelgr watched as the troll's face was burned before roaring, facing where it had come from as she did so...

Sarah says shakily, "O-okay, dad. If you say so."

The group continues onward....

Khorne turns to his mate. "No need to worry, Hraesvelgr. That troll should be enough of an example not to bother us."

Hraesvelgr nodded in reply.

Shezz leads ahead of the group, pulling out the map to help get them on the right trail.

Saurgu flies closer to Ikargu's home with each passing moment, roaring out in response to the call he made earlier to signal her...

The messenger eyed the guards, then the two gryphon riders, before heading into the palace. their meeting was to be private. so an audience of messengers from a different land was out of the question...

The messenger entered the palace, and, through the use of a servant and a couple of guards, found his way to the balcony. As he approached the King, he kneeled. "Your Majesty, I have a message for you" he said. but due to the nature of this information, he wouldn't reveal anything else unless the place was completely vacated...even guards were a risk. He was unarmed himself, to ensure faith in the legitimacy of his purpose...

Once Shiryaz was certain Andruil was awake, he fluttered over to the serpentine drake sleeping at the foot of a tree, landing next to it on a root. the falcon chirped as he cocked his head, stepping sideways along the branch till he was right next to it, nudging it with his beak lightly, giving another chirp, the eerily intense golden eyes staring at the drake with a scrutinising gaze...

Mordecai feebly waved a paw at the air, growling, then lazily opening one eye. Upon spotting the hawk staring down at him, the Pseudodragon was instantly awake, jumping to his feet with an alarmed hiss. Once he realized just what hawk it was, however, Mordecai relaxed, giving Shiryaz a wary look. "Whaddaya want?" he grumbled, even his mental voice sounding tired...

Tetto'eko's eyes snapped open at the sound of Mordecai's hiss, but relaxed as well when he saw the disturbance. He shook his head with a smile and got slowly to his feet, leaning on his staff. He looked around and muttered, "So, I am guessing we are heading out?"

Trajan turned around to see the messanger. "Deliver your message to be night now, messanger. If your weary of unworthy ears hearing it, do not worry... there is no one else up here but the two of us..." Trajan said, though even with the calmess of his voice, his eyes scanned all around, just to make sure there weren't any assasins lurking in the shadows...

The cloaked figure raised up the staff in it's hand, then thrusted the butt end of it into the ground, roughly two feet to the right side of the figure. Upon touching the ground, a pulse of fiery energy was sent out, causing a small chasm to open up. One end of the chasm speeded off into the lake, while the other end went off in the direct other way, before a semi-faint SPLASH was heard from behind the cloaked being. The figure smiled. It knew that once every week, Trajan came down to this lake to swim for fun. No one else was allowed to come down to this lake except Trajan and the Pope. But now... The figure's smile grew, before it melted into a shadow on the ground, which then slunk off into the forest...

the Messenger nodded respectfully, before taking a breath. "My lord, My message comes from Sir Alexander Lyall, Regent of Valenhad. He wished me to hand you this letter" he said, as calm as possible, though nervous. he gave the King a cylindrical black leather container, within which was a roll of parchment, the Valenhad Royal Insignia stamped on the red wax seal holding the end of the parchment to the rest, keeping it from unrolling unless opened. within, was written:

"To the honourable King Trajan of the Kingdom of Germania,

As a neighbouring faction with good relations up till this point, The Kingdom of Valenhad feels it their duty to warn you of an impending threat from the Kingdom of Draxon. Extensive research and investigation has proven to us that the faction's ruler, King Draco, is under the sway of a powerful Archdemon. The demon has already targeted and nearly destroyed a village a few miles from the Draxon borders, and intends to spread outwards. Reliable sources from within the Draxon royal palace itself revealed to us that the demon intends to use Draxon's Army to conquer the entirety of Aster, by means of gradual, systematic attack. Steps have been taken to prepare for war, including warning numerous neighbouring factions. But without knowledge of the full extent of the demon's abilities, such precautions are lacking. it is feared that it may not be enough without Germania's support. It is doubtless that the Draxon King may attempt to contact allies and other nations on good terms with them to attempt to gain sway over them easily, so it is highly advised you beware such attempts. We request that you respond with your decision as soon as is possible. Our messenger, Daniel, will remain with you until your course of action is decided and your response written, at which point he will deliver it to us.

We sincerely hope that it is not too late to prevent this catastrophe from worsening,

Your friend and ally, Lord Sir Alexander Lyall, Regent of the Kingdom of Valenhad
"

Shiryaz eyed the drake for a long moment, before chirping again, turning his head to face the others, before looking back at the drake, eyes locking once more...

Septimus meanwhile, was still deeply asleep. he had no intention of leaving this early. While the others would likely be moving now, he had planned to sleep till noon before making an effort to leave...

Mordecai looked between Shiryaz and the others, clearly confused. "Sorry, my dragon-to-hawk vocabulary is a bit... lacking."

Trajan opened up the letter and began to read it. As his eyes moved down the letter, a drop of sweat slid down the side of his face. An Archdemon, in Aster? Trajan thought as he continued to read the letter. It didn't make any sense... unless he simply forgot about the guard's sighting of Jeetis alive and well. Perhaps, that too was the work of this Archdemon... or something else... " So this is what is happening outside of these borders..." Trajan grumbled, as he headed off into his room. TO one wall was a desk, with a notebook and a pen beside it. He had been planning to write out a shopping list for one of his own servants, but right now, there wer efar more pressing matters to attend to...

As the pair of guards stood by the gate with the Gryphon Riders, they noticed what looked like a large armadillo walking toward them. The face of the creature was rather wrinkled and green, same with the arms and legs. The tail seemed somewhat rat-like, though it's ears were human in shape...

The messenger, oblivious of what was written in the letter, followed the King silently...

Andruil sighed. "Arsenic seems to have forgotten that little challenge from yesterday" he said with a smirk...

Desrium carefully parted a bush with his dark gray gauntlets. Crimson eyes peered from the wet brush at the group a few yards ahead of him. The sight came as a suprise, just ahead of him and tucked away was the slumbering form of the Dragon Exile, a title that had engraved itself into Desrium's mind, a title to go along with the name Septimus. How strange it was that he would find the dragon so far from where they had first met those days before. Desrium wanted to approach the silver scaled drake and greet him, but noted his deep slumber. He must have been very tired from his prior activities and found solace around a group of friends. "Rest well" Desrium thought as he turned his head to look at the others, his curiousity lost beneath his never changing expression.

The gryphon riders take notice to the beast, but pay no heed to it. They hoped they would get their chance to deliver the message to the king of this place soon, and without difficulties....

Trajan entered his own room, before sitting himself at the desk. Be thought for a moment or to, before beginning to write down his reply to the letter he had recieved. I Shall not tell of what I have read to anyone, not even Dione... Since this message was only for me to see, I guess I have to withhold it to myself... The Emperor thought as he continued to write...

"HALT!" Both the guards commanded to the armadillo at the same time. The creature stopped, before eyeing both the guards with its orange-colored eyes. "Now what is this all about? I come back after a few years of meditation, and you two lugs won't even let me in to see my dear friend Trajan?" The armadillo creature grumbled, both his arms crossed in slight anoyance. The guards looked at him carefully. There was something... familiar about this armadillo, but they just couldn't put their fingers on it...
