The cold, ravenous gaze of the allosaur duo lock onto their downed target, the blood eyed male moving to the beast's neck from behind and snapping down onto it. Blood trickles down the herbivore's neck as he tightens his grip, Goldfang putting her feet on the monstrous bull's tail and side to keep him from getting up, whilst slashing at his stomach with razor sharp claws....

As Aircrest continued, the entrance to the Genetics Lab loomed into view, a pair of thick steel doors half open, bent out of shape by something startlingly powerful, vines having grown over the doors to the point they were hard to identify, the roots seeming to wind in and out of the ceiling over the door and into the lab. terrified screeching could be heard somewhere in the facility, the echos making the location difficult to identify, te racket undoubtedly from Compies, as an angry roar came from what sounded like a Deinonychus, though it was cut short by it's own abrupt screech of shock, a series of weaker screeches, seeming to sound like gasps, coming from it before finally dying down, the facility falling silent once more. a hazy green light cast into the large lab from the windows, which, though still mostly intact, had been overgrown by the jungle, and had hazed over with various kinds of micro-organisms, making looking through them impossible, the most that could be gained being a faded, green-tinted glow lighting the room. all over the room, dark brown crusted bloodstains decorated the floors and walls, human skeletons littering the room, some huddled together in a corner, others seeming to have fallen out of their chair as they were killed in a futile attempt to escape their fate. whatever had struck them struck fast, hard and with no mercy. in the middle of the room stood 3 large tanks full of a greying, semi transparent liquid, 5 other tanks having been shattered sometime between when the building was operated and the current day. on the ground lay 4 deformed saurian skeletons, the tanks carrying two semi-developed embryos, which, on close inspection, would reveal themselves to be a Spinosaur and a T.Rex. the third seemed to be a fully developed Velociraptor, reddish brown in colour, with a thick black stripe running from the front of it's snout, like a mask, down it's back to the tip of it's tail, bleeding into thick sharkfin-like stripes, a short row of quills running from the middle of it's skull down to halfway down it's neck, the Raptor's actual colours somewhat difficult to identify due to the green-tinged liquid it was bathed in. the glass of the tanks had suffered similar fading to the windows, and the creatures within were somewhat difficult to see at the bottom of the glass, though it got clearer further up. vines of various thickness hung from the ceiling of the room, forming a canopy all it's own overhanging the room. a branch extended through a shattered door on a second floor balcony overlooking the room, and the stairs leading up to that second level showed signs of rust, the bottom of it having blades of dead grass and other materials sticking out, a sign that beneath lay a nest, the scent of compies permeating the air in that spot, though it was stale and likely several weeks old...

The Edmontosaurus bull thrashed around bit a bit, bfore it went limp. Blood streaked down the side of the once magnificent bull, wo had led his herd for 15 years...

Sawtooth continued to swim through the swamp, the crocodile making his way into Spinosaur Territory. a toothy grin semed to spread acros the Deinosuchus's mouth. He himself wanted to become the true ruler of Isla Sorna, but hadn't risked it in the past. Now, however...

Pale Kaiser soon releases his grip, cleaning his teeth with his tongue. "That went well," the albino allosaur snarls. "Indeed it did," Goldfang hisses. "Come, Pale one- let us feast on our kill." Pale Kaiser moves over to where his mate is and the two begi nto dig into their well-earned kill....

Ba'al continues lumbering on his way, having seemed to calm down and be a bit bouncier again. He catches the smell of the Edmontosaur herd heading into the jungle and follows that scent, knowing that they will be easy prey for his waiting jaws....

Osiris approached Thrasher along with the rest of the family. "This should be good" he said sarcastically to himself. He had already heard the news of Thrasher killing his father and becoming head of family, the thought of his cousin being in charge made Osiris shudder. Osiris had known Thrasher all his life, even when they were younger Thrasher tended to be violent and quick tempered. When they would play fight when they were younger Thrasher had a tendency to take it seriously, more than once threatening his playmates with serious injury. Now he had power and the thought terrified Osiris. He approached Thrasher with the others waiting and stopped near him with the others. He waited for Thrasher to begin.

Diablo circled the area multiple times, giving the feeding rugops space, and trying not to make his presence known. After a while he moved in to check on the carcass, he sniffed the air, not detecting any sign of another predator. And so he moved in, quietly cautiously stepping over every branch as he made his way to the carcass. He looked down on it, most had been eaten, the head was torn off completely, and most of the torso was eaten. Diablo turned over the carcass to examine it more, spying a few pieces of spared meat, he hungrily gnawed off what he could swallowing small amounts of flesh, the taste soothing him momentarily. He lingered a bit, inspecting the carcass, as if looking at pieces of flesh that weren't actually there. He sniffed the air, hoping to catch a whiff of a fresh kill. Food had been scarce lately, he couldn't keep his energy up for a hunt. Carrion would have to sooth him for now, he began to wander off, occasionally sifting through the sites and smells before him for a potential meal. The morsel he just ate would only satisfy him for so long.

Aircrest cocked his head at the sounds of a struggle bouncing off the walls of the structure, a slight uneasiness creeping over him, though by now, the raptor was used to that feeling. He readilly wandered into strange places, wary of the dangers. Calming himself, the raptor went back to sight seeing, panning his head back and forth, nudging objects sitting on the desks with his snout. Such objects included a ceramic pencil holder, the pencils discolored and the wood they were made of rotting, and a cup, the inside stained black after years of neglect. Aircrest let out a low sound that sounded vaguely like "Blegh" after he caught sight of the mold flourishing inside. He examined the scattered remains of the unknown animals as he walked through the room, still perplexed by their pressence here but nowhere else on the island. He then came to the tanks, stopping and scrutinizing them. Through the murked glass, the black striped raptor could barely make out the saurian features of the fleshy blobs suspended in the liquid. He bared his teeth, feeling somewhat sick in the stomach as he thought of the embryos floating in stagnent water. "Just what the hell is this place?!" He hissed to himself, catching sight of the familiar form of a raptor among the sickly fluid. Aircrest's mouth hung open for a moment. It might have been a trick of the light...but did that raptor look like the image imprinted on the leaf?

The blackness that surrounded the dark raptor gradually began to thin, while the smells and sounds of the jungle began to grow more distinct. Pulling himself toward a particularly tight passage, Darkness found himself at another entrance to the cave system, which was significantly smaller then the one he called home. Although there were scents of various animals all over the cave, it appeared, at least for now, to be empty, the dark raptor making his way to the entrance to see if he recognized the area...

Sawtooth continued to swim deeper and deeper into Spinosaurus territory. The smell of Spinosaur became stronger, and only served to boil his blood even more. He would personally enjoy the taste of Spinosaurus blood, especially after the death of his mate at the hands of Spinosaurids....

Gothmog awoke after many hours of slumber. The fight had taken more out of the youngling than he had first assumed. The wound on his side had already scabbed up, thankfully, but it still hurt horribly. On his face, he could feel he had a long slash mark across the top of his eyebrow ridge, then came to the tip of his snout. It still hurt slightly and had not scabbed up yet, but the bleeding stopped. He tried to muscle through the pain and went back to eating his Gojirasaurus kill...

Ba'al sniffs the air again, and continues following the scent of the hadrosaur herd. He knew that they were very close, possibly closer than he assumes...

a series of intricate, complicated chittering and whistling seemed to echo throughout the room, it's source difficult to identify, though the throat of the Raptor seemed to twitch and quiver slightly, barely visible, the sounds fading after a second...

though that was hardly the end. the more Aircrest watched, the more the Raptor in the tank seemed to be looking at him directly, eerie, piercing amber eyes looking into his very soul with their intensity, it's lips breaking into an eerie, menacing smirk...

"Scimitar's rule is over" rumbled Thrasher as he paced in front of the Spinosaurs, eyeing Osiris for a moment as he continued. "I'm sure at least some of you have noticed by now that my word had more sway in his decisions than even his own. I don't think this should be a surprise to any of you". shaking his head, a series of faint cracks being heard as he did so, he glanced over the Spinosaurs, many of which were now eying him with concern, others pleased, yet others fearful. "Scimitar was weak. His reputation was all that kept him standing. I crushed him like an insect, and if ANY of you want to follow him, I'd be pleased to oblige" he snarled threateningly as he eyed the others, all of them stepping back, lowering slightly in submission...

Aircrest's gaze darted about the room, glancing up to the platforms on the higher levels of the facillity, his side and with a turn of his bdoy, behind him. He let out a rattling hiss and flashed his claws again, seeing nothing. He hadnt heard anything like that before, what could make such a noise?

The green and black raptor looked back to the tube, raising a scaley eyebrow when he saw the expression on the rusty red raptor's face. His own amber eyes stared past the dirty glass and into those of the quilled raptor, both confusion and intrest present in his expression.

Far in the distance, the young daspletosaurus heard the noises of animals, this did not concern him so he quickly ignored it and moved on.

This young predator would grow into a predator that would one day be known as Razorjaw,
but at his age he was far from a formidable predator the biggest game he was known to stalk were small ornithopods, and even they were about half his size.

Suddenly he heard a noise among the tall grass in which we was hunting, slowly and quietly he moved towards where he heard the noise careful not to snap a twig with his steps or rustle into a branch of a small tree concealed in the grass such worries were common in young carnivores that relied on stealth, one false move and you could have either lost your meal or become someone else's.

At last the young carnivore had reached the end of the grass and the beginning of a clearing,he was sure the noise was coming from there,so as to determine the noise as coming from a threat or from a predator he stuck out the tip of his nose and sniffed the air in the clearing, after doing so he put his nose back into the long grass and let his brain work out the nature of the smell.

Prey, even though these creatures were of no danger Razorjaw had to keep as still as ever, the only reason he'd come this far from his sleeping area in the grass was to find food, and he'd be damned if he was going to lose it now.Finding an arch in the grass blades the young daspletosaurs was able to see into the clearing without letting himself be seen, even so he was careful to move as little as possible. After his eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight poring into the clearing he saw the prey he was after,a small group of hypsilophodonts were grazing on the vegetation that grew in the sunlight of the clearing.

These herbivores were about half his size so the problem when he went after them wasn't overpowering them it was in catching them.Hypsilophodonts are infamously jumpy creatures so Razorjaw's carnivore brain had to plan out the best way to get into running without the little creatures not realizing whats happing for as long as possible.

To do this he bent his legs back into a position suited to launch him forward, like an Olympic sprinter and like a sprinter his body was not yet suited for long chases so he had to make every second count in this hunt. His eyes focused on the group, mouth drooling slightly as he prepared to strike. The hypsilophodonts (never famed for their intelligence) foolishly turned to face a small mammal who dashed into it's burrow, this would have occupied them for minutes before their stomachs said otherwise they never got the chance however as Razorjaw came bursting out of the grass directly at them.

Not long after he was standing by the dead body of one of the hypsilophodonts, when he had chased after them earlier they naturally fled in the direction they had been facing while occupied by the small mammal, unfortunately the clearing happened to be on the border that marked the end of the tall grass and the beginnings of the open plains.

The particular one that Razorjaw had felled took a wrong turn, instead of turning at the edge of the grass like it's companions it burst through the grass and into the open plains still running from the young carnivore, tired and confused with being in an opened environment rather than the one it had always known. The confusion and shock coupled with it's already exhausted body easy to bring down to the ground, offering little to no resistance.

The kill would be far from safe here, these open plains harbored a menagerie of predators, many wouldn't think twice about killing him and taking his hard-earned meal.
He was nothing out here but in the tall grass there was nothing to harm him,so he did what any predator who needed to eat in a more secluded spot would do,he dragged the kill back from where he came before any hungry eyes took interest in it.

As he dragged his meal back to the grass he passed a herd of corythosaurus, they regarded him as no threat and simply ignored him, thought similarly of them and carried on with his business of dragging the carcass, little did he or the docile herbivores know that, one day this small predator would be the terror these herds. That however, was something that lied distantly in the future, too distant for any of Razorjaw's kind to think ahead as his mind was constantly thinking in the present, never in the future and rarely in the past.

As this future terror of the plains settled down to eat,he briefly thought about the new world he had glimpsed in his short stay on the plains, but these thoughts were in the past and the meal in which he was about to eat was in the present so he quickly tossed these thoughts aside to eat his meal, maybe he would visit the place again, maybe someday.

Osiris listened to Thrasher who had looked at him a few times during his speech. Osiris and Thrasher had for the most part gotten along, Osiris avoided Thrasher whenever it was possible. A spinosaur standing next to Osiris whispered to him. "With Thrasher in charge were all doomed". Osiris ignored the comment no wanting to have Thrasher hear but he did whisper back quietly "I wouldn't let Thrasher hear that for your sake. He dosent take criticism well" he growled softly. "But Osiris even you have to think that with Thrasher in charge it will lead to trouble" The spinosaur hissed to Osiris. "Like I said if I were you I would keep your mouth shut if you know whats best for you" Osiris hissed quietly. He then moved away from the Spinosaur not wanting to continue the conversation anymore.

Redtooth stood quietly behind Thrasher, letting him do the talking. The only real solace he had was his relationship with Thrasher. As long as he didn't cause any trouble, his life would at least be somewhat bearable. No one would dare mess with him if Thrasher was in charge. At least as far as Redtooth knew, anyway. It was going to have to be a risk he'd have to take...

as Aircrest eyed the Raptor, a bone chilling rattling hiss echoed through the room, the Raptor suddenly disappearing from view, Aircrest's focus distracting him from the fact it had leapt, a loud metallic thump being heard as he landed on the tank, a monsterous, gut-wrenching screech ringing out through the facility as the Raptor dove forward, pinning Aircrest to the ground, one foot over his chest, the second pinning his legs down as his clawed hands grazed his neck, the two killer claws pressed against his skin as the Raptor looked Aircrest in the eyes with a chillingly malevolent gaze, before leaping once more, landing on the Rex tank, then leaping onto the balcony, disappearing through the wrecked doorway into the facility, the echoes of his steps disappearing almost the moment he disappeared from sight...

the whispering didn't go unnoticed. "Osiris...Would you be so kind as to share what was being said by you two?" hissed Thrasher acidly, malevolent eyes narrowing on the Spinosaur suspiciously...

Osiris and the spinosaur looked at each other nervously. The spinosaur looked at Osiris nervously, he was afraid that Osiris would rat him out. Osiris saw the desperation in the other spinosaur eyes and decided to cover for him. "He was telling me how happy he was that you are in charge. That unlike your father you will be able to lead our us to greatness" Osiris growled. The spinosaur let out a sigh of relief, Osiris had covered for him.

Aircrest remained on the ground even after his attacker had left him, thin streams of blood flowing out of the small wounds on his neck and slowly meandering across his throat. He was that close to being killed, having his vein sliced, his wind pipe crushed, his throat ripped out. He was that close to being like the compy the Eodromeaus had killed. The only reason he was still alive was circumstance. Circumstance, the green raptor loathed the word. It was circumstance that had him hatch alone. It was circumstance that had him have to scrounge around the island for meals, having to fight compies for the littlest bits and scrap of meat he could get a hold of. It was not circumstance, that he had managed to live until now, however. That result was of his own effort and will to survive. He learned how to live with and eventually overcome the odds stacked against him. After all that, his demise was just a flick of a claw away.

Aircrest staggered to his feet after a while, his body quivering, as if he suddenly was suddenly bearing the weight of the world on his back

Thrasher walked up to them for a moment, eyes narrow in scrutiny, before grunting. "I see" he growled calmly, turning back, only to whip around and grab the Spinosaur beside Osiris by the neck with his jaws, yanking him forward into the middle of the group and onto his stomach, before pinning him down with a foot, biting onto his neck and ripping his throat out, tossing the piece of flesh aside as he let the Spinosaur suffocate and bleed to death in front of the others. "Anyone else want to try and lie to me? Or is Osiris alone in that?" hissed Thrasher coldly as he looked around at the others, most still watching their packmate gasping for air on the floor, blood flowing from the wound...

The lab stood silent, as if nothing had ever happened, though on the other side of the room, a thin trickle of something black or dark red seeped through a doorway, the ground there having dipped into a channel from wherever the liquid was coming from, undoubtedly due to the constant neglect and disrepair the facility suffered from...

Osiris watched as the spinosaur he was talking to was grabbed by Thrasher who proceeded to tear his throat out. He watched the spinosaur bleed to death on the ground. He knew this would happen "If only he had kept his mouth shut" he thought sadly to himself. He knew his cousin to be cruel and knew that upsetting him was a bad idea. He looked at Thrasher and apologized for lying. "I apologize for lying Thrasher, I will not make the same mistake again" he hissed.
