Almost as the beast was stunned, a roaring Andruil shot out of the undergrowth at the wyvern's side, slamming in full force against the beast's flank, the mass of the Werewolf and speed of the charge knocking the dazed Wyvern off it's feet, the Werewolf leaping off the beast's flank as it hit the ground a number of feet away, a clawed hand slamming into the trunk of a tree as Andruil swung around, standing on one of the tree's thick branches as he prepared to attack again if the beast attempted to stand...
Septimus swam towards the shimmering circular barrier to the metropolis, noting that it looked surprisingly like the surface of the water from below, warbling like a large liquid mirror. The Dragon turned to look at the guards escorting him, only to see them jab with their Tridents, avoiding actually touching him or Desrium, but getting the point across. With a rumbling sigh, The Dragon drifted forward through the shimmering surface, two guards disappearing through it before him...
The strange sensation of sudden dryness engulfed him as he passed, the barrier seemingly pulling every drop of water covering his form as he passed through, the Dragon's eyes opening widely as he passed through, landing on dry, solid ground, glancing around. they were in a large circular room. the walls were lined with ornate, glowing shell-like formations, acting as the lighting, the shells varying with different colours, from warming golds to vibrant blues and greens. tables occupied by off-duty guards filled the room, the laughing and joking becoming an eerie stony silence almost the instant Septimus entered, the relatively large Dragon looking considerably more intimidating when standing at his full height, cyan iris shimmering as his gaze fell on each of them in turn. their faces were sleek and seemed somewhere on the way of becoming fish-like, their noses reduced to slits and their eyes having a dark shimmering brown shade. their teeth were shark-like, though otherwise the same size as human teeth. their ears had receeded, becoming smaller, the earlobe fused to the skull. some had long whiskers, comparable to the ones Septimus himself would have one day, hanging from their upper lip downwards, ending in small shimmering bioluminscent bulges. At each one's waist was a jagged blade that seemed to be made of what could, in Septimus' mind, have been shards of one of the massive shells that made up the city, elaborate brown and purple patterns scrawled across the turqoise blades, which bared remarkable similarity to the one Desrium carried, though unlike his dark, cracked-looking one, these reminded him of the carapace of one of the giant Karabas Lobsters that he used to feed on in his home in the Kirrahara mountains. around him, the mermen that were escorting him leapt through the barrier, Septimus' eyes widening as the scaly tails around their legs suddenly faded into skin and clothing, the men becoming robed with rich green armour plating as a robe swirled around their shoulders. "asahaulo hackanooby. Bosar dun yay intaderpa" said the most senior looking of the guards, as a thunk was heard as the base of the trident jabbed against Septimus's scales, the Dragon seeming oddly concentrated, having tapped into the guard's mind as he spoke. "Get moving, Intruder. The King dislikes waiting" was the thought that came parallel to the Guard's words. Was this the Zuppo language? he thought. It was strange. unlike anything he had heard so far in Aster. relenting, Septimus edged forward slowly...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
