Redtooth thought for a moment, then hissed, "Maybe that would be a better question for Darkness or Steeltalon."

Fatalis watched from above as 3 Raptors walked into the clearing, where he was mere moments ago. Fatalis went around them through the trees, and watched as they snarled in frustration. he landed behind them and hissed "Why were you following me, Raptors?". they leapt around and hissed at him. Fatalis backed off, and stood defensively. one of them leapt at him, but Fatalis leapt at it, killer claw aiming for it's head. his claws hit before the Raptor, Fatalis' jump being higher, and the body dropped to the floor. dead. Fatalis hissed at the other two, which split up and started communicating, using a pack specific language used to hunt prey and other Raptors. Fatalis paid close attention. as soon as he heard movement, he leapt, barely missing the two Raptors, which crashed into eachother. they got up, both slashed from the attempted attack. one leapt at him while the other tried to hit him from below. he tried to dodge to the side, but the leaping raptor slashed his leg. he managed to avoid the second Raptor's his, which ended in it's death as the leaping Raptor landed on it's skull, it's claws still swinging down, penetrating the skul and killing it. Fatalis backed away and snarled at the raptor...

Darkness watched Sandstorm in the water, wanting to help him, but was still slightly enraged. He sighed, laying his head back down to stare blankly at the scene. Darkness looked at Steeltalon, seeing that she was tense. He made a low growl, wanting to comfort his mate, but didn't want to do more harm then good. Darkness sighed and looked back at Sandstorm, finding his swimming ability, or lack of it, amusing.

Steeltalon somehow managed to relax after a bit, closing her eyes and sighing. She got up and stalked over to Raven, who looked up. Fear flashed in his eyes as he tensed, ready to run. "Listen here," Steeltalon hissed. "I'm sick of being judged for what my father was. Either you judge me now for who I am, or blame me for being something I am not."

Raven made a low growl. "All mutants are bad," he muttered. "I learned that when they separated my from the pack."

Steeltalon's eyes flashed. "That wasn't me, though."

"True enough," Raven relented, clearly reluctant to admit he was wrong.

The half-mutant turned away without another word, stalking over to the stream to watch Sandstorm's attempts at swimming.

Sandstorm Shrugged again and growled "Well I really doubt either of them is in the mood to help me.. I will just stick at this if you think you cant help.." He repeated what he had done with the same consqeunces... Then he noticed Steeltalon on the shore, looking slightly calmer. He barked "Steeltalon! You mind gicing me a few pointers, this is impossible."

Softfoot almost laughed as the last raptor approached Fatalis. She had been tracking him for awhile, then she turns up to see him fighting with three raptors, one of which was already dead. Another was killed soon after. Now fatalis's leg was slashed and it didn't look like he had much chance of fighting off the last one. Then her eyes grew wide. She wanted to interragate Fatalis. To find out 1. if the Lone wolves were ticked off with her and 2. how many were after her. He was backing up against the tree she was in, the other raptor following.
Without another thought, she leapt off the tree landing a small bit infront of Fatalis. While the other raptor was still shocked, she pounced foreward knocking it to the ground. It kicked her and tried to gain the uper hand. She rolled away onto her feet. The other raptor leapt at her, she met it in the air, but thanks to her size, gained the uper hand. she landed on top of it pinning it to the ground. Before it could react she dug her sicle claw into its leg and then bit onto its throat, killing it. Her teeth dripping with blood she stood up from the corpse....

Fatalis watched wide eyed. in the commotion, he hadn't noticed the new Raptor above him. looking at it as it killed the last of the three he was fighting, he realised it was SoftFoot. he cocked his head. it seemed Sandstorm had passed on the message. he sighed in relief, and crouched, trying to lessen the strain on his now wounded leg, which the attacker had hit in such a way that one of the muscles was slashed and his leaping impaired. he hissed "Thanks, SoftFoot. for a minute there i thought it had me"...

Steeltalon shifted slightly. "Just relax. Go with the current, and don't flop your arms like a dying fish. Watch." She stood up and slid into the stream, alternating between gliding and using her tail like a croc's. She turned and swam back to Sandstorm, idly treading water.

Sandstorm grunted dis-beleivingly But he did as she said and tried to make smoother movements, but ineivitabley he sank below the water. Anneoyed, instead of going back to the shallows, he streamlined himself and used his tail to push himself back up again. Where he slowly started sinking again. he growled "Well that didnt work..."

Softfoot turned around to Fatalis. She ignored his comment and and walked up to him. She hissed menecingly "Fatalis, its been to long. Mind you I wish I could say I was happy to see you."

Steeltalon gently nudged Sandstorm's shoulder. "You're tensing up as soon as the water reaches your neck. Relax. Let yourself go with the current."

Fatalis cocked his head for a moment at the comment, and then hissed "Oh...so the news hasn't reached you. Very well, what did you save me for then?". he rubbed one of his clawed hands on his wound, a bit of blood dripping from it, and some on his clawed hands. he licked his claws clean and stood up, looked back at SoftFoot, waiting for a reply...

He desperatly tried to stay on the surface and hissed "If you say so, but you and Redtooth better be ready to grab me when I float off." He let himself re-lax and sank almost immeidiately. But he tried to keep calm and push himself up. He only managed to stay in the same place though. He leveled out and started using his tail to push him around, then angled himself up slightly. He managed to breech the surface enough to get a breath. He swelled with triumpf just because he hadnt drowned but that dissappeared quickly. He tried his best to keep moving, knowing that if he stopped he would sink..

Softfoot smiled and and hissed "So you can answer some of my questions of course, and so I can have a little chat regarding some of your fellow lone wolves. You see, I happened to walk in on one of your meetings recently and do you know what happened?" She was having doubts wiether Fatalis was involved, but she couldnt deny that people had been following her the past few days.

Steeltalon swam beside Sandstorm, supporting him with one shoulder. He was doing well so far. "Stay calm and focused," she advised, keeping to the pace he'd set.

Sandstorm nodded, thankful for the support. He tried to focu his attention on keeping his rythme, Shadow leaf was watching from the shore and it would be way to embarassing to sink now.

Fatalis grinned. "I thought that was what you wanted. and yes, i know what happened next. an Ex-Lone Wolf called you a traitorous murderer". Fatalis saw a Compy walk towards him. he had been standing so still that one became curious enough to approach him and his bleeding wound. Fatalis swung his clawed hand down, knocking it over. he picked it up and bit on it's head, killing it quickly and painlessly. he then looked at SoftFoot to find out how she would respond...

She narrowed her eyes and repeated "ex-lone wolf eh?... Well from my point of veiw. I show up at the meeting. I amn't acting agressive. Infact, the reason I was there in the first place was beacause I was intressted in joining you, belive it or not. Anyway, that plan didn't work out as one lone wolf insulted me repeatedly. Then he attacked me. Then I killed him..... Since then I have spotted several lone wolves around here, inculding you. To be honest, I feel a bit en-dangered. Could you.... fill me in, and don't even think about lying. I saw how many lone wolves came to help you that time."

Darkness smirked at Sandstorm's attempts at swimming. He was getting better. Darkness layed his head down on the ground, watching the event mindlessly.

Fatalis grinned. "Well, i didn't call Needle an ex-Lone Wolf for nothing" said Fatalis, the raptor's name coming out as if it was a poison he needed to spit out. "That's the second time i know him to have done that, along with countless other times i have NOT been told about. He always did hate mutants, even though most of the Lone Wolves are together BECAUSE of being part mutant and not being accepted, or just being different from normal Raptors. Didn't you ever wonder why the other two with him walked away after he insulted you the last time? before he attacked?". Fatalis stripped a bit of flesh from the Compy's leg, and downed it, before returning complete focus to SoftFoot...

She shrugged and hissed "I didnt really pay much attention where they had gone to. But the way I see it, I have no proof that there isnt anybody trying to kill me. And I also feel that, that veiw should be expected, considering all events before and since then."

Fatalis hissed "Well, of course, not having prior experience with the true meaning of being a Lone Wolf, you wouldn't have paid attention to what happened in those last few moments before the fight. we Lone Wolves live by a strict "code". those who ignore it, are left to face what becomes of their mistakes. that dead Raptor was no longer considered a Lone Wolf by the time he attacked. he broke one of the codes we lived by as Lone Wolves, and therefore, seperated himself from the Lone Wolves. having done it in the past and having been warned, those two Raptors left him because they no longer considered him one of them. and they were right in their actions. word of the Raptor's demise soon spread, having once been a prominent member of the Lone Wolves. however, having broken a code which could endanger other Lone Wolves, it was decided that no vengeance should be taken on his behalf. as for you seeing me and other Lone Wolves, you should keep in mind there are many of us, and all of us are roaming loners, not bound to any place on the island. one day you may find me on the northern edge overlooking the sea on a cliff, and a couple of days later, find me on the other side of the island, trying to catch one of those long fish that dwell in the shallow rivers there. the same applies to all Lone Wolves. so dont be surprised if you see many of us. i remember glimpsing something while i was hunting a few days ago. looking at you now, i realise there's no other explanation than that you were what i saw then. after that, i was under an impulse to find out what had happened to you, since i had recently been asked by Shadowleaf to keep an eye out for you. and that is how i heard of what happened between you and...that raptor, and i was told you ad been last seen at an area west of Steeltalon's home. so i followed, and arrived at the cave Steeltalon lived. had it not been for my worry of setting off Darkness' unusually short and un-aimed temper, i would have continued until i actually found you. as for your feelings through this whole scenario, i dont blame you for thinking we were after you, looking over what had happened. if i were in your position, i'd've thought so too". Fatalis took another bite out of the compy, this time from it's flank, and downed the flesh before watching SoftFoot....
